i think the anime version and manga version is abit odd on how suigetsu gets the sword. karin got cute as$ plus she kinda act like oro, they like to play their tounge if they want to taste something or someone, hehehe

It wasn't a filler, it just wasn't completely cannon to the manga in order to draw out the episode a little. Anime is far enough behind manga already so this annoys me slightly, but then again, would be a little stupid to start the karin part three quarters into the episode.

Really It's amazing, the ability of the Kishi crew to make fillers even
out of the main story!, that was a pure filler!!
+ Now I know another reason why the manga is better - you don't have colors to spoil
the drawing, well, I never imagined sugetsu ... purple ... lol

Yeah, I thought there might be some art pages with him, but ... really, to make him ... pink... lol ...
Yeah, I imagined him that way too ... somewhat light-blueish!
And he seemed really gross... and the story was made up just to make
another episode... and to remind us who is (ARRRG I forgot his name!)
the old man with his grandson who came to help rebuilding Konoha in the manga...
