Agree that the 1000 hand Buddha could have had better animation, but the rest of the episode exceeded the last two. 5/5. Can't wait for the next episode.

I give it a 4/5

I'm quite disappointed that the way Tobirama Portrayed in the Anime didn't feel intense when he was pissed off about massacre the leaf village when Sasuke and his co shit their pants feeling the overwhelming pressure.

The manga did much better, I love Tobirama, he's such a boss, and the best Hokage.
it was pretty awesome seeing Tobirama realize he's Orochimaru's ***** whether he likes it or not

Horrible episode.

The dudes misinterpreted alot of facts and emotions in this episode.

They blitzed over the Hashy vs Mandy and failed to comprehend that too, Hashys statute is alot bigger than Susanoo Kurama, not just a little as the showed, and it didnt move it just leaned in cause of its size...

They chose a dumb point to end the episode... the chapter in the manga ended with Hashirama meeting Madara by the river when they were kids, which was meant to be like, wow, look at the absurd contrast. A few panels ago they were fighting to the death and here they're just little kids being kids.

They went for the big dramatic ending instead of the subtle, expectation-reversal ending that Kishi did. Typical anime.

What's worse is that, the way they ended the episode made it seem like there's more to be seen from that fight in the next episode, which will piss off some non-manga readers for sure Lol

Also... I can't believe I'm saying this but even the Ninja Storm animation of their fight was more exciting:

And that's saying a lot.

Hashirama vs Madara sequence was great, but way too short. I hoped for some filler-scenes (Dam that pacing).
The episode itself was good. Great adaption of that part from the manga.

5/5.

+ this is the 4th episode in a row that covered 3 chapters. If this series will end up like one piece (0.5 chapter in one episode :eww:), it will be a disaster.
They've been doing 3 chapters per ep since Oro's revival, over 20 eps ago. XD

That's saying only one thing. It's all about the time you have.

This is a god damn weekly series what kind of animation do you guys expect? The animation was fine, especially at the end and when they charged up their chakra.

I liked it both for the talk and the action. Let's face it, no one watches Naruto for the "great animation". There is so much better japanese animation around.

I too thought the fight was too short. I could have watched a whole episode of Madara and Hashi fighting. There was more action in this fight than it seems that there is in the war. I enjoyed the interaction between the Hokages and I loved Sugetsu's face when Tobirama and Hashirama got their chakra up. Sugetsu was hilarious.

I would have thought that Sasuke would have been more angry with Tobirama's attitude toward the Uchiha. Although personally, I don't think he was prejudiced against them like Oro seemed to think, he was just cautious of a clan that held so much power because of their dojutsu.

Surprised about Hiruzen admitting about Itachi though. In the manga he didn't know of the massacre until after it happened because Danzo planned it while he wanted to think about a solution. Hopefully they'll show more of the fight next episode.

Nah, Hiruzen admitted it in the manga too:
