Yes they do, Lee was among Kakashi squad who was fighting against 7 swordsmen. Kakashi and Gai left out and would've rely on Lee to take over their roles to finish off the remaining Edos which are Mangetsu and Pakura.

Lee would've get major development because Hydration is ineffective against Taijutsu and Lee would prove it otherwise.

I see your point, but let m clarify mine. I meant that Lee and Mangetsu didn't really have a history. I suppose it could led to Lee development but not much. With Suigetsu on the other hand you have him fighting the man he could never surpass and fighting his own brother. they have a history that needs to be explored to develop both of their characters. It could end with Mangetsu acknowledging Suigetsu since that's a major theme and since a lot of edos did a lot of acknowledging. Mangetsu acknowledging Lee wouldn't nearly carry the same weight as Mangetsu acknowledging his brother.

so yes, Lee could get development from this which he needs, but Suigetsu could get much more development,

edit; yes it would be a random encounter but it's one that needs to happen for character development. Sasuke running into Itachi was fairly random but it needed to happen for development reasons

Neji has no need like everybody else where he has to keep repeating some lame inner dialog here he needs to reaffirm his need to get stronger and better. He's too busy concentrating.

Obviously Suigetsu is better choice for development than Lee vs Mangetsu. I understand that, but still this is War we're talking about not on some reunion. If they did meet up, Mangetsu most likely get Tnj or Pnj easily Ko-oed by Suigetsu and we don't want that to happen.

Since Mangetsu happened to be the strongest 7 Swordsmen, we should able to feel the sense of threats, killing off many shinobi lives and to feel the conflict that Lee tend struggles.

I guess thats a cool part about Neji. He kinda have similar personality as Sasuke does.

They had everyone else think about Naruto or at least Gai, but they didn't show Neji thinking .

I think it's because they all of the others all showed that they are supporters of Naruto's as they would a Hokage where as Neji who is destined to die soon wouldn't live to show this support. I thought it was funny that Kiba marked Naruto as his Rival when he can't beat Base Naruto haha Naruto only Rival is Sasuke and use to be Gaara too when Naruto said something about Gaara becoming Kazikage.

Stupid in the manga, stupid in the anime.

The anime could've fixed MAJOR war issues and did tackle some, but so much more could've been done.

Naruto Ep. 330

Ok, so this episode was pretty cool. I definitely enjoyed it alot.
Obito thinking he was scared of Naruto, the message Inoichi gave everyone, was awesome.

Bu at the end, the end it shows Sasuke about to destroy some white Zetsu. Now, im not huge Sasuke fan, but im excited to see what he is capable of.

Also, its the first time we are going to see him fight in awhile, so im pretty sure you guys wanna see it too.

Anyway, what do you guys think? Are they going to cut away from the war now and focus on Sasuke for a bit?
Cuz im excited to see some Kabuto pwnage.

That's how the manga handled everything. I don't want to give too much away if you don't read the manga, but I thought the next segment was kind of anti-climactic. There was a lot of potential in the upcoming segments, but I feel that Kishi rushed some parts while spending too much time on others.
