Naruto Shippuden Episode 307 "Fade into the Moonlight" – Discussion

I have to be honest, the highlight of this whole episode was seeing Madara in the OP. He's designed nicely imo.

The episode was alright but I'm so caught up in the manga right now, I'm anxious for those chapters to start being animated.

Giving this episode a 2.5 today but I will give it a 3 on the ratings.



Anyway lets get into the episode.


This is getting ridiculous now, is this what the anime team is trying to represent as war??? They are making it seem that the alliance are standing around for days because of this zetsu situation, how is this a terrifying war experience. Kishi did this too but it was only for a manga chapter or two. War is meant to be the thing that made itachi strive for peace in the hidden leaf, what made people like nagato who he was, why does this war have to look like a joke and the anime team are making it worse. Now it looks like gaara's division got to sit down and have tea and biscuits and fully relax before madara came, noo that is not how it is meant to be the fillers are ruining the overall experience.



I love the blood in this episode I hope they keep it like this when people were getting slashed there was actually blood! Not just torn clothes, I like that



As for the fillers and this episode I have no idea where they are going with this. I do like how they extended the fight between baki and Hayate but made the situation seem silly, if you are going to get rid of a guy that has information about you, you do it swiftly (how kishi done it) you don't let them have a whole battle because then it seems like, why didn't he just run away and scream the plans of the sand. Baki caught him quickly and didn't let him move from the spot they were at in the manga that is how it is meant to be.



And as for Yugao's excuse for why she can't go after the group that stole the bodies :|:|:| "he was my lover" I was expecting that dude standing behind her to say.... So. And the episode to end.

Thought it was alright but want to skip all these fillers! Really want Madara to be revealed and also want the Kyuubi to make an appearance as well!

Madara was shown in the OP.... I'm just thinking how OP the OP will be during the Hashi vs Madara episodes....
Though it will take at least 6 months for that....

I see madara! Not the best opening though I admit, lots of unnecessary things included.

Things I got from opening(spoiler)
- madara is coming
-susanoo design might be a let down
- they added filler to madara vs Kage = looks freaking awesome!
- foreshadowing of 5 Kage deaths

nah because they showed sasuke right after them

anyway if you want real madara action play storm 3 atleast they won't botch the animation like i know the anime will cough PAIN cough

I liked this episode. Back when watching part 1 I always thought the fight between sound boy and Gaara was too short. I'm glad they showed his transformed state now. Likewise for Baki and Hayate, glad they extended that.

Now I feel sorry for Yagua, having to kill her lover next ep... must be pretty hard. But you know, shinobi have to make hard decisions like that ;p.

And of course I liked the new opening. It gave me goosebumps and that's a good sign. The 2 openings before the old one were shitty. I'm glad that with the last 2 openings they're back to good ones. I also liked the ending very much.

Ermehgersh, this is tied for best filler EVER for me. (Pakura filler and this one are neck-and-neck) The nostalgia!!!! The soundtrack! The action! Did you see how he caught the kunai with the ring on his? That is how real ninja fight. Back when it was tactics, stealth, and actually ninja-y. The flashbacks were very welcome this week. Also, when they raided the camp, that was some hardcore action. Loved those kunai bombballs and how he just twisted that guy's neck like it was nothing. Meanwhile Suckura proves her perpetual uselessness by standing around with a trollface while people are getting slaughtered around her. I loved this filler and I don't mind if we get more like this one. It's good to get back to the roots of this show that made it so popular.

+ Awesome new Opening and Ending. xd
+ A short, extended battle between Hayate and Baki.
+ One of my favorite dudes from Part One that died, was shown, Dosu. Hmm. . . . . . . . . never actually heard his japanese voice, weird. :yeah:

- Damn, why didn't Kishimoto brought back Hayate in the Manga. . . . . . . . . :'(
- The two guys, that Kabuto summoned back, killed quite a few people. . . . . . . . . but the thing was, the people weren't moving, it was like they were waiting to be killed. :erm:
- Hayate's flashback was really extended from the original happening, it almost took half of the episode. hmm

nice episode, always wondered what happened to yugao, and why the hell hayate didn't get edo tensei'd.
it will be cool to see how yugao will deal with this situation, nice filler and the next one will be nice as well

- I like how Hayate didn't die so lamely this time around, in this version Baki actually needed his hand to stop Hayate's crescent moon dance. In part 1 its all flak jacket.
- The animation was't too bad, they actually drew character detail when they were at a distance. In all the recent episodes (canon included) if the character was more than 5 ft from the screen they were just like "**** it, just make him a blob"
- The new Opening is awesome, makes Mei look like a badass
- they unnecessarily extended the Dosu part and kabuto and Baki's conversation
- ANOTHER emotional edo tensei reunion, I think we've had more than enough of those, can't they ever just fight characters they don't know?
- "I can't fight because..... he was my lover" .....what a shitty ANBU member

Great filler; I rated it 4/5
- I love the new opening (and ending), but it was a spoiler for those who don't read the manga
- The flashbacks weren't too bad. The fighting scene between Hayate and Baki was awesome... great to see it being extended. The other fighting scene where Hayate and the two other reanimated ninja invaded the medical camp was also great, but there were some weird awkward moments when the allied ninja stayed one spot and let the enemies kill them.
- Great to see another emotional aspect of the war. We get to see the relationship between Hayate and Yugao in further depth.
- I love the old soundtrack... Gave me goosebumps

here are my comments that are coming up as i watch the episode so i dont forget any. I'll rate it at the end.

1. Typical naruto odd looking wounds. (not necessarily a flaw)
2. WTF WHY IS SAKURA'S HEALING MAKING ALIEN NOISES
3. I do like the Yuguao or whatever's in this episode. In my opinion, she's pretty badass.
4. YESSSS MORE SCREEN TIME FOR KIMIMARO.
5. WHY THE **** ARE HIS FINGER TIPS OPEN LIKE THAT PAUSE AT LIKE :55 OH DEAR JESUS CHRIST
6. I like the bird masked and ax guys.
7. LOVER PLOT TWIST ooooooOOOO: !!!!!

I've never commented in the anime section before. I legit only came over here to share my disgust with the anime lately. This episode was inexcusably bad and lazy. Over half of it was flashbacks to part 1.... Is it just me or does the War arc have the worst fillers ever?
