I don't know why this is hard for you to understand, but let me use an anology. Lets say USA attacks Europe (this is extreme, but it is the first thing that popped into my mind). Lets say both parties use a nuclear bomb, USA wipes out EVERYBODY in Europe, But Europe also wipes out EVERYBODY in America. Who wins?
