Chapter 4: Akemi’s strategy
Under a bright sky, at a field surrounded by trees, three young shinobi were facing a test which, if passed, will open a gate to marvelous adventures and numerous paths. Out of those three, one was facing their Sensei, one on one, while his two teammates were hiding behind bushes and drawing an attack plan.
Makoto: What’s the plan, then?
Akemi: You go and aid Isamu; I’ll attack from my dad’s back!
Makoto: Sure!
Akemi: Once you get to Isamu, launch a combined attack! That will give me enough time to surprise my dad and snatch the bells!
Makoto: Got it!

Meanwhile, Isamu was still facing Naruto, one on one… After Naruto nullified Isamu’s Fire Style, the latter had no idea of what to do next, but still wouldn’t give up.
Isamu: My flames won’t work! What do I do?
Naruto: That was a nice Jutsu, Isamu! What else you got?
Isamu looked at his Sensei… Naruto was smiling at him and with an intrigued look as if he really wanted to know what Isamu really was capable of…
Isamu: I’ll do this!
Isamu repeated the previous hand seal sequence while taking a deep breath only to release it in the form of an orb made of roaring flames.
Isamu (thinking): This time I’ll make it bigger, to keep him busy!
Isamu: Fire Style: Grand Fire Ball Jutsu
Naruto (in thoughts): Kurama… Is it me or is this one bigger than the last?
Kurama: It is bigger! In fact it’s twice as big as the last one! This brat keeps on surprising me!
Naruto (in thoughts): Heh… To be expected from one of my students!
Kurama: You didn’t even teach him anything yet!
Naruto: Wind Style: Vacuum Great Sphere
Naruto (thinking): I’ll have to increase the size of mine as well!
Naruto’s enlarged sphere collided, once again, with Isamu’s grand fire ball, extinguishing its flames, creating a large smoke cloud. However, Isamu’s strategy never was to overpower Naruto’s Jutsu, but instead to distract Naruto while Akemi’s plan was relayed to Isamu by Makoto who had managed to get to Isamu’s side.
Makoto: And that’s that!
Isamu: I see… So there is no point in hiding and trying to attack by surprise...
Isamu (thinking): Nice, Akemi!
The smoke from the Jutsus’ clash had cleared out from the field and Naruto was watching his two students standing in front of them with something on their sleeves… What it was, Naruto hadn’t a clue on it…
Kurama: Nice move he made there! He distracted you with a Jutsu knowing you would counter it again instead of dodging it! That way, that brat Makoto would have enough time to join him and plan something!
Naruto (in thoughts): Isamu must have spotted Makoto while he was coming towards him and did what you just said! Heh!
Naruto: So… I get to fight two of you now, uh?
Isamu: And you will regret it!
Makoto: We will pass this test! Trust me, I don’t ever lie!
Naruto: Show me then!
Makoto: I’ll go first, Isamu!
Makoto executed a bunch of hand seals at an extraordinary and outstanding speed.
Makoto: Earth Style: Mud Indulgence
From the ground, mud started to come out, forming a river, although its width was very small…
Makoto (thinking): I’ll put all my chakra into it to make it larger!
The mud river summoned by Makoto started getting wider and wider, until it covered the entire field’s width, leaving no escape route to Naruto.
Naruto (thinking): So big!? However, he’s all drained out!
Makoto: Try to keep up, Isamu! Huff… Huff…
Isamu: Nice one, Makoto! Let’s see you countering this, Sensei!
Isamu (thinking): I’ll make it a little different!
Isamu: Fire Style: Grand Fire Ball Jutsu
Isamu’s breath turned into fire as soon as it left his mouth. However, this time, the flames didn’t take the shape of an orb but instead, Isamu was using this technique as a continuous flame thrower to incinerate Makoto’s mud river.
Isamu: Mud mixed with fire…
Makoto: … makes a hell of a technique! Huff...
Isamu and Makoto’s combined Ninjutsu, a river of burning mud, was heading straight at Naruto.
Naruto: I’m not gonna lie! This is an amazing Jutsu!
Naruto bit his finger and placed his hands on the ground after making some hand signs.
Naruto: Summoning Jutsu
A large puff of smoke appeared where Naruto was standing. Once it cleared out, a large and big yellow toad was revealed; it was Gamatatsu and atop of it was Naruto!
Makoto: What’s that? It’s so big!
Naruto: Gamatatsu! It’s been awhile!
Gamatatsu: Naruto-san! I’m happy to see you again!
Naruto: I still haven’t grown accustomed to your size, heh heh!
Gamatatsu: I can shrink if you want! But I can see there’s no time!
Gamatatsu had seen the flaming mud river coming towards Naruto and himself and knew there was no time to talk!
Naruto: Yosh, I’ll infuse my wind chakra into you! You bring the water!
Gamatatsu: Here it comes!
Naruto: Wind Style: Toad Gun
Gamatatsu exhaled an enormous amount of water through his mouth which, combined with the wind chakra that Naruto channeled into him, created a powerful and fast stream of water that spread to cover a much larger area very quickly.
Isamu: This is unreal…
Makoto: Huff Huff… It’s going to completely nullify our combined Jutsu!
Isamu: At least… Huff… It will serve its purpose…
The flaming mud river and the wind-infused water wave, created by Gamatatsu and Naruto, clashed, with the result being a large cloud of steam due to the Jutsus cancelling each other…
Akemi: It’s now or never!
Naruto: Uh?
Akemi appeared behind Naruto, in mid-air, without the latter even realizing.
Akemi: Those bells belong to the three of us, dad!
Akemi (thinking): Back then…
------------------------------------------- Flashback begins ----------------------------------------
Akemi (thinking): Alright! Those two followed my tip, they’ve also hidden themselves!
Akemi (thinking): Now we strike from the leaves! Like a Leaf Ninja!
Akemi was hiding behind a bush, watching her dad, who hadn’t made a move until then…
Akemi (thinking): He’s moving! He’s heading towards me! How could he know?
Naruto was seen running at a slow pace towards Akemi, but, out of nowhere, Isamu jumped into to the field!
Isamu (shouting): Hey, you! I’ll fight you head on!
Right as he was talking, Isamu withdrew five shuriken from his leg pouch and threw them at his Sensei. In respond to this, Naruto avoided the shuriken by simply jumping over them.
Akemi (thinking): Isamu? Is he trying to distract my dad so I can escape?
Akemi (thinking): Thanks, Isamu! I’ll pay you back! I already figured out he found me!
------------------------------------- Flashback ends ------------------------------------------------
Akemi (thinking): Back then… I figured it out at that moment!
Akemi (thinking): I figured out you are a Sensor Type, dad! That’s how you found me…
------------------------------------- Flashback begins ----------------------------------------------
Akemi: Makoto!
Makoto: Akemi? What are you doing?
Akemi: Makoto, I have something to say to you!
...
Makoto: I see… Are you sure about this?
Akemi: Yes! That’s why he wasn’t moving at first! He was kneading chakra to figure out our positions!
Akemi: Once he located us, he was planning to get us one by one! I was the first, but Isamu…
Makoto: So there’s no point in hiding, is there?
Akemi: No, there isn’t!
Makoto: And how do we fight against a Sensor Type?
Akemi: We keep attacking him! That way he won't have time to knead chakra and will be vulnerable to a surprise attack!
Akemi: Did you understand, Makoto?
Makoto: Yes, I did! What’s the plan, then?

Akemi was seen with her index and middle fingers from both of her hands crossed.
Akemi: Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu
Akemi summoned dozens of Shadow Clones, each one ready to attack Naruto who was completely caught off guard and wasn’t expecting his daughter to charge from behind.
Kurama: Hmph... As usual... The number of clones is impressive... Juts like her knucklehead father!
Naruto: Heh! Gamatatsu, go back!
Gamatatsu: Sure, Naruto-san!
As he said this, Gamatatsu vanished into a cloud of white smoke, leaving Naruto without any support for his feet.
Akemi (thinking): Damn… He cancelled the summoning so he would fall to the ground avoiding my clones…
Isamu: He’s falling! Now’s our chance!
Makoto: Let’s go!
Without even thinking twice and completely ignoring their exhaustion, Isamu and Makoto ran towards the falling Naruto with the intent to snatch away the bells hanging on his waist.
Naruto (thinking): This is some teamwork!
Akemi (thinking): I’ll have to keep him busy from up here; otherwise he’ll just dodge Isamu and Makoto!
Akemi: Avoid this, old man! Those bells are ours, dattebane!
As soon as Akemi finished talking, she made herself and every Shadow Clone withdrew every kunai on their back-waist pouch and threw it at her dad, Naruto Uzumaki.
Naruto: Heh heh… Don’t underestimate your old man!
Naruto: Wind Style: Great Breakthrough
Using his wind nature affinity, Naruto created a gust of wind by exhaling the air on his lungs through his mouth. The gust of wind repelled every kunai back to Akemi’s shadow clones.
Makoto: He repelled that many kunai? Sensei’s really strong!
Isamu: Huh? Akemi’s is going to get hit by the kunai!
Makoto: Damn it! Take her out from there; you’re the only one fast enough to do it!
Isamu: Right! You take care of Sensei! Make sure he doesn’t attack me!
Makoto: I will!
Isamu changed his route to save Akemi from the kunai. Meanwhile, Makoto launched one last attack to get Naruto’s attention.
Makoto: Here it goes!
As he was running towards Naruto who had just landed his feet on the ground, Makoto concentrated his remaining chakra into his right arm.
Makoto: Earth Style: Earth Fist
Makoto’s right arm was encased in rock and increased its size to the double.
Akemi (thinking): Damn… These kunai are coming straight at me… It’s too late to use any Jutsu!
The hundreds of kunai Akemi and her Shadow Clones had threw at Naruto, which the latter repelled, were about to hit Akemi and all her Shadow Clones.
Akemi: Uh? What are you…?
Before Akemi could finish, Isamu had appeared in front of her with a sword on his hand, a sword similar to Sasuke Uchiha’s Kusanagi in terms of design.
Isamu: I got you!
Isamu deflected every kunai headed towards the real Akemi only by using his sword, sawing it at such a speed that the human could not keep up… However, all the Shadow Clones vanished after getting hit by the kunai. From the ground, Naruto witnessed all this and was surprised with Isamu’s speed.
Naruto (in thoughts): He’s fast!
Kurama: He summoned his sword from a formula in one of those things in his wrists and got to the little girl's front all in a matter of seconds!
Makoto: I got you now, Sensei!
Naruto: Uh?
Before Naruto could react, Makoto managed to hit Naruto with his powerful hardened punch due to his Earth technique.
Naruto (thinking): Damn, this kid has a powerful arm!
Naruto was sent flying several meters away from where he was standing until he fell on the ground. At the same time, Isamu and Akemi landed behind Makoto.
Akemi: Nice one, Makoto! And… thanks, Isamu…
Isamu: Heh heh…
Makoto: I’m out of chakra!
Isamu: I only have a little left!
Akemi: I still have tons of it! We can still pull this off!
Naruto: Nice work, guys!
Naruto was getting up on his feet after taking a direct hit from his student’s teamwork.
Naruto: But…
As he said this, Naruto suddenly vanished into smoke, right in front of the three genin…
Akemi: It can’t be!
Naruto: I told you not to underestimate your old man…
Coming from their right,walking towards them, was Naruto Uzumaki, the real Naruto!
Akemi: It can’t be!!! The one we fought all this time… was just a Shadow Clone?!
What?! All these attacks and chakra… … just to take out one Shadow Clone?! Is Naruto too much for these three young shinobi? Can they really pull this off?!

-> So... This chapter doesn't feature any OST for a simple reason... I would have to use the same OST more than twice in this, so I thought it wasn't worth it... And honestly, I'm thinking of keeping the chapters clear from OST's.
