Wrong section but I believe Nagato awakened the Rinnegan on his own? I don’t remember but he had it since he was a child so... it’s only possible that Madara gave it to him or the necessary genes to unlock it.

I’m not your bro and I really rather not. It’s been years since that chapter. Series is over. Not going back to find out something irrelevant and unproven. So unproven it’s still being speculated about hints this thread. It’s literally and highly unproductive. So there.

The authors really did well in matching these qualities of theirs.
