After a mission failure in the Land of Iron, Team 4 had been on multiple missions which were successful missions. All the missions were D ranked and just around the village. Team 4 had no trouble completing the missions even though Sakumo acted on his own terms. Akuto and Miaha have become even more frustrated with Sakumo and Naruto is becoming less involved in the missions as well, a sign of growth for Team 4. Now, Team 4 is in the Hokage's office receiving their next mission...."Congrats on making this your 10th consecutive successful mission, but now it's time to amp it up a bit. For your next mission will be a C ranked mission that requires you to travel to the Hidden Sand Village and locate the Sun Sandpetal Flower and bring it back to the Leaf Village." The Hokage says.
"Understood!" Naruto says with confidence
"Whoa!! We have to go all the to the Hidden Sand Village to find a flower?? Isn't that a little bit crazy??" Akuto yells
"The Sun Sandpetal Flower is only found in that desert next to the Sand Village, so yeah we have to go out there." Naruto says with a tone
"You also need to ask the Kazekage, Gara, if he has seen any recent foreign activity in the area." the Hokage says
"By that you do mean the activity of the Missing Iwagakure Organization?" Miaha asks
"Exactly. Get used to these missions because you will be assigned these types of missions a lot in the future." The Hokage says with authority
"Yes, My Lady!! We are going to get ready for the mission and report back to you when all is done." Naruto says calmly.
Scene: Team 4 is standing out in front of the Hidden Leaf Village gates as they wait for their sensi to show up. Then a stranger with thick black brows and a chili bowl walks up to to them. He makes eye contact with Sakumo and walks up to him. They exchange looks for awhile then the stranger holds out his hand with a smile and begins to speak. "So your Sakumo Hatake, You look...." Then is cut off by the voice of Naruto..."Well if it isn't old bushy brows, how have you been?"
"I have been great!! Just have been doing a lot of training, same old same old. What about you??" Rock Lee asks
Miaha and Akuto begin too laugh because they think that is a great nickname for him..."Well I have been doing good, seeing old friends, and watching over my new team." Naruto replies
"Have you seen Sakura yet?" Lee asks another question
"Yeah we have been talking everyday after missions and catching up. But I am about to head out on another mission to the Hidden Sand Village to see Kazekage Gara." Naruto says with excitement
"Oh really?? I am headed over there as well! I have to pick up a parcel for the upcoming Chunin Exams." Lee says with excitement as well.
"Well then yu should just travel with us then. It will be nice to have someone else around." Naruto says
"Haha!! Yeah, besides we can train together on the way up there, just like old times!!!" Lee says with uber excitement this time
"Oh great, this sounds like loads of fun..." Akuto says with saracasm
"Shut up Akuto, this will be a nice change of pace for us." Miaha says
"Besides you need the extra training if you want to keep up with me..." Sakumo says with a smirk behind his mask...
"Alright, Let us go!?" Rock Lee says as he jumps in the air
Scene: Team 4 is walking with Lee on the way to the Sand Village. They are still in the forest but have made pretty good progress. They are walking as Lee and Naruto talk about past adventures and Miaha and Akuto wander what it would be like to be like Naruto. When all of a sudden Rock Lee jumps on to his hands and yells..."Well, let us train!!"
"Alright!! Let's see if your still the same bushy brows I know!?" Naruto exclaims
"Oh boy, here we go..." Akuto says with a exhuasted look
Akuto joins in the training and Sakumo walks to a try and lays against it. Miaha walks over to him and she begins to speak, "So, why do you always have to do everything on your own?" Miaha asks. Sakumo just keeps looking away not even saying a word. "Please, just answer my question. I really want to know more about you. I am tired of feeling like I don't belong on the same team with you..." Miaha says with a sad expression
*Sigh* "I just want to get as strong as I possibly can. Sometime soon I will have to find the person or people who were involved with my fathers death and I will make them pay for it. I need to get a lot stronger before then. I don't need others getting in the way of my goal." Sakumo says
"Isn't that just selfish? I mean I understand what it's like..." then Miaha is abruptly interrupted by Sakumo..."No!! None of you understand....the mental torture I have been through. It's nothing compared to what you have or Akuto has. I don't have anyone to go home too or help me when I have issues to deal with. I have to figure it out and overcome everything on my own and all because some crazy bastards killed my father. Now all I want to do is make them suffer." Sakumo says with furiousity
"Oh my...I didn't..." Miaha says with sympathy
"I know...I wouldn't expect anyone to know how this feels. I have raised myself and that is just my mentality." Sakumo says.
Naruto then walks up with his arms raised high like he just walk up from a cat nap. "Ahhh...that was great, looks like your still in pretty good shape bushy brows." Naruto says.
"You have gotten a lot stronger, Naruto. But what's even more impressive is Akuto's ability to keep up with us." Lee says
"Haha! It really wasn't anything. I workout a lot to stay in peak physical condition." Akuto says with cockiness.
"I kinda want to see what Hatake can do then." Lee says.
"Don't worry, you will get plenty of chances to see what they all can do soon enough!" Naruto says
"I think we should hit the road guys" Miaha says
"What!? You two get to take a break while we workout? Though ninjas never take breaks, Sakumo?" Akuto says
"I was mentally preparing for the mission. You can't do the same training everyday otherwise you don't go anywhere.." Sakumo says
"Alright Alright! Let's just get going before you two start another debate." Naruto says
Scene: It is nightfall and they finally reach the Hidden Sand Village. They are in front of the Kazekage's mansion and the doors are open warmly for visitors to come in. As they enter, they are greeted warmly by three sand ninja. "Hey! Temari, Kankuro, and my good friend....Gara!!! I haven't seen you guys in a long time. I was wandering if I would ever get to see you guys again!!!" Naruto says..
"Hey Naruto, Shikamaru hasn't talked to you yet either, he said he is really eager to see you again." Temari says
"Oh yeah! I haven't seen him yet. Where has he been at all this time?" Naruto says
"He went out on a mission to the Hidden Rain Village." Kankuro says
"He took orders from me to go and look for intel on the Missing Iwagakure Organization." Gara says
"Yes, we need to discuss that by the way." Naruto says
"Let's wait on that, we can discuss that over some tea one day! or Ramen whichever you prefer. Right now I bet you are tired so I will show you to your rooms." Gara says
"That would be nice!!" Akuto says
"Yeah my eyes are about to shut!!" Miaha says
"Oh man....I expected more out of you Akuto!!!" Lee says
"Geez...where do you get your energy from? You never seem to get tired." Akuto thinks to himself
"Alright, that will be good. We will head out early tomorrow morning." Naruto says
"What!? Early? But its already pretty late.." Akuto says stubbornly
"Would you shut up and act like a ninja for once..." Sakumo says
As Team 4 and Rock Lee find their rooms and prepare for sleep tomorrow brings a new challenge. Early tomorrow morning, Team 4 will be looking for the Sun Sandpetal Flower but will it be an easy task like the previous missions or will it be a handful? Finally, Sakumo opens up to Miaha but what does she think about Sakumo's attitude??
