Hey! This is an update to an earlier post I made where I compared Naruto Characters to their moba counter parts. In light of the new Character that came out recently, I thought I'd update the list and include them:
Now, we're comparing them on 3 parameters:
1) If they are like the character THEMATICALLY (for example, slark would be like kisame because they're both sharklike humanoids with pale blue skin.
2) They have an ability that is like that of a Naruto character (note, the characters MAIN move as in their calling card should be like the naruto counter parts signature move like Jiraiya's Summoning and Warlock's Gollum.
3) Their entire kit and theme resonate with a particular naruto character.
Some comparisons only line up in one aspect while fail in others, so some comparisons will be better, but lets see how many we can list. Here's what I have so far
NOTE! NO LEAGUE OF LEGENDS CHARACTERS. We're trying to focus on actual hardcore moba's, so most of my comparisons are going to be Dota ones, but if you see a smite or a HOTS one you wanna throw in, go for it, but mainly its dota
Phantom assassin is Minato "The Yellow Flash" Namikaze Yondaime. Pa's overall kit is reminiscent of the yellow flash's entire style. She throws a knife at her opponent, and then teleports to them and begins attacking. Her ultimate is a very high critical hit, which fits with minato finishing his opponents with a single kunai attak. Also her passive is called "blur" which fits as minato is often described as just a "blur or yellow" while attacking.
Vengeful Spirit is Sasuke uchiha. This is one of my most complete comparisons. Venge's Ultimate move swaps her location with her opponents and is approximately the same range as sasuke's and has a simlar cooldown. Her entire theme is "vengeance" as her passive "vengeance aura" causes her opponents to take extra damage for some time after killing her. Fitting with sasuke's vengeance goal. Her second ability is a wave that lowers the armor of her opponents and comes in the form of a screech, which is very similar to sasuke's similar "whine" he does.
Kunkka is Zabuza. He's a large dark haired man who's general theme is the sea and water and is marked by his signature sword. Kunkka THEM fits better with zabuza, however his actual SWORD is almost EXACTLY like chojuro's. It has a wattery edge that can attack people at a much larger range than his actual sword.
Invoker is Hiruzan Sarutobi the third hokage. Invoker is very old (although he appears young as he's immortal), and is the most knowledgable of all in dota. He can use every element (as can sarutobi) and has every every skill memorized like the professor does.
I know a bunch more good ones that i'll add in the comments with you guys, but I wanna add the new entry real quick here:
Zet the arc warden is Madara uchiha with rinnegan. His ultimate ability "tempest double" is just like how madara could make the exact copy of himself that acted in another realm, just like arc warden creates a clone of energy that mirrors all of his moves for a short period of time. He can also burn his opponents and wants to end the world essentially. Technically Elder titan's remnant is similar in that it exists in another plane, but its impact in battle is much less than arc wardens.
Anyway have fun with this. Just remember, use any moba like Dota smite, strife, infinite crisis, hon, hots etc, just no league of legends. I want this thread to be taken seriously and i don't want a bunch of little kids all shouting their waifu and how they're like hinata or some shit.
