@Tsuchi It's funny how in this forum the moment you say something you don't like about Naruto everyone starts saying I'm bashing/flaming Naruto, and then I should stop reading and such things.
One Piece people don't get power ups out of nowhere and even so if you're talking about Blackbeard then so be it, powers are all about Devil Fruits so the guys get stronger (depending what kind of fruit it is...) but in Naruto the case is different, in Naruto there isn't such thing as a food that will grant u a specific power and that's why the "powerups" as you say makes more sense in One Piece. I don't know what you mean about the Haki thing but I do know Shanks is feared by the whole world almost and all he has is a arm and Haki, even Blackbeard with his Devil Fruits didn't want to fight him. But then again One Piece has also its downsides, it just dissapoints me alot less then Naruto..

Because you were bashing. You didn't gave any ballanced overview of the manga Naruto but jumped in criticising it and declaring that you don't like it and proceeded to give a fanboy praise of another manga in detail. Obviously people are going to ask you what are you doing here in such a case.

One piece people do not get random power ups? What can be more random that getting a devil fruit out of blue and getting stronger instantly. It's not like that they are shown to be searching for it even. They just get it. (Only blackbeard seem to be spending time waiting for it).

One day Alvida is defeated and next time we see she is strong. Backbeared steals the power from another dead body. Luffi needed to be stronger to fight CP9 so he declared on top of Ennis loby that he was training to be stronger though we never had an indication of it beforehand nor explained when he got time to do so. It was required for the plot and just saing that was enough.

You didn't reply how everyone was getting stronger in OP and not in Naruto. Konoha's new generation is strong- even if all of them are not as strong as Naruto or Sasuke. Do you think OP will be that much different when they reach that junction in their story? Do you think all of the charcters would be as strong strawhat crew?

SH crew is getting powered up because they have to face much stronger foes and all of them will be fighting them as a crew. Still someone has to defeat Blackbeared someday and I doubt it will be Nami to do the job. By the end of series some people will be gaining much more power than others.

There would be no way to have a coherent chapter if you were to skip constantly between the different fights, plus I imagine it would be far harder to draw. How could Kishi develop the story if he only dedicates a few panels for each sub-plot, and tries to advance them together? It makes more sense to dedicate a few chapters to each fight, to get the story to some logical stopping point, before switching to another scene.

Describing a war in a manga (or any story) is far harder than following a small team doing a mission, both in terms of plot development and artistic effort. You have a larger scope and have to sketch many more characters and different scenes, linking them together. There is no way to create these slow emotional sequences that consist only of a few familiar characters, like Team 7 search for Sasuke, Sasuke's fight against Itachi, etc. Reading one little driblet at a time also makes this hard to follow.
On top of that, Kishimoto has to deal with tying up a lot of loose ends as he is moving the story towards the conclusion.

It may not be perfect, but producing 15-18 dense pages each week with fights, character development and a consistent and engaging story is quite a fit. Kudos to Kishimoto for a great job!

Yes. But there are some valid issues. People are dissatisfied because they wanted more details of war- basically the discription of each fight. At the same time they also want to find out what's going on with Naruto and Sasuke right there... They do not like that the manga has less pages than some other ones as well which would have helped in getting more deails. Though it may also be related with publication strategies.

And some of them are just used to be literally guided about events of the manga- for example OP is more detailed and uses extra pannels to describe what they are showing in the manga and it's convineinet for many.

I personally like OP style where the first page often gives glimpse of what missing characters are doing at this time. Naruto has teasers at the last page at times but they are less frequent and not as an extra page.

One Piece has far less plot holes than Naruto...

OP has less of a plot as well so far. Oda laughs plot holes off with a joke(if pointed) and readers ignore them because of its comedic aspect. Otherwise Frankie is making instant stairs and at the same time climbing it ( hangingin air without any support) and we are told he had tools in his underwear(SBS).

the difference is that one piece doesnt take itself seriously.
either i create something that is to some extend a gag manga-shonen-mixture which is supposed to make fun, be a bit dreamy and have some cool characters. then plot holes that arent to obvious are okay. who cares if in 16 pages full of absurdity one action doesnt make sense?

or i create a serious, intelligent story. it's more fascinating, often more touching and thrilling. on the other hand, if the story is intelligent, then it should make sense, or i cant take it serious. that's why the second ending of death note is such a letdown. in one piece, it would have been fine if the evil guy does something stupid. in deathnote it's absolutely not.

The real problem of naruto manga was the 2 year that naruto pass we jiraiya he dont create i good naruto he bring i naruto ho dont use ninja element event he speed was sh,ip, that wy wen this war start naruto dont got nothing to show and kishi has to make him better in 5 day he star to creat rasengan that we never see mini rasenshiruken next 2 day bijuu mode super speed,this is were kishi fail in naruto that,we dont see naruto became i real ninja..

How about this: When you start financing Kishi's manga, or create a better, succesful, more suspenful one, then you can be a bitch about Naruto.

Ever thought that if Kishi packed a bunch of stuff into one chapter, the series might stumble and be messy or it'll end faster? Then what, you'll bitch about the series not lasting or being messy? Jesus, I wish people like you would think before you decide to critisize Kishi, I mean he's rich offa Naruto, obviously he's doing something right.

The chapters are merely part of the entire volume. 1/8 - 1/10 to be exact, what your doing is the equivalent of raging and bitching a bout a book because 2 chapters in the middle didnt tickle your fancy.
