Unfortunately we didn't have a proper 1 on 1 fight in a long long time. A lot including myself were looking forward to this chapter, too bad it didn't deliver.

but needed . The most important fight in the whole story and no background to that would be more disappointing

that conversation didn't really change anything, so it's almost like it should've been left out anyway.

Naruto and Sasuke....

Today's chapter made clear what are Sasuke's intentions of becoming Hokage.

Sasuke wants to burden all the hatred as being the Hokage. Same as what Naruto once told him,

Sasuke is willing to do the same. He knows, that hatred won't disappear from this world no matter what. So instead let's control this hatred.
By killing all the Kages, and letting the people know about the situation, he'll indirectly make the people focus their hate towards Sasuke.
When everyone will focus their hate on one person, they will be like friends among themselves. Similar to how Itachi killed the Uchiha clan and become the center of hatred for Sasuke as well as the people of the Leaf.

Sasuke said that Itachi made a mistake by letting him leave alive because Sasuke was the capable person to kill Itachi and destroy Itachi's efforts of storing the hatred.

Sasuke thinks Naruto as equal to him and the person who is capable of stopping him (just like Itachi - Sasuke case)
And he doesn't want to repeat the mistake of leaving Naruto alive (same as Itachi did by leaving Sasuke alive)
If he leaves Naruto alive then because of Sasuke's actions, Naruto will have to kill his best friend.

Some Nice character development and we finally get to know what Sasuke Wants. The bad thing was that there was no action which A lot of people myself included wanted.

Sasuke's defeat is forshadowed even more so in this chapter he is following Itachi's old ideals where as Naruto is following his new ideals where Itachi told Naruto that the reason he failed protecting the leaf from the shadows is because he didn't let those close to him help him

it's BSM....BTW...they're probably going to start with taijustsu. Remember Kakashi Vs Obito in Kamui world?. They start off with Taijustu, then bring out the big guns later on
