Kishimoto is doing much better than last year and the chapters have been better due to the story progressing nicely. This chapter was insanely good and probably my favourite of 2014 so far. Gai is going all out and Madara is having fun "dancing". Minato was a boss with his leadership skills and the teamwork by Kakashi, Gaara, Lee and Minato was awesome. I never considered that their abilities could mesh so well but Kishimoto made it work! Also, Naruto is back but even if he is one of my favourite characters, it was nice seeing other characters receive attention during the absence of Sasuke and Naruto. All in all, this chapter was 5/5.

I like the part when Vegeta shows up inside the black sphere and punches Madara thru the back of it, then throws Guy out the back who then punches a now helpless Madara in the back....epic

Maybe he can be hit and momentarily incapacitated but we haven't seen anything that can do him real damage yet. With the senjutsu to heal himself he's still pretty much top of the food chain right now....

So far trading his life for a power beyond the kages, beyond human is a bit of a let down... MADARA IS STILL BULLSHITTING IN THIS CHAPTER! Just like he has been for a long ass time >< I was expecting to see Gai to at least punch a tailed beast out of Madara, do something, have some effect on Madara... but instead we get "I WANT TO HAVE MORE FUN". So we are still getting no where. Man, FxxK you Madara, somebody actually make this guy feel like he's losing the fight and make him die for good. Just end this war, end this arc, end this series so I can get married and go on with life.

It was also said in the past that only Uchiha could unlock the Mangekyo, but Kakashi managed to do that. I have a feeling Kishi is setting up for Obito to sacrifice himself yet again and offer his eye to Kakashi for the 2nd time, only this time, it'll give Kakashi an EMS.

Exactly what I was thinking - it would re-soldify obito's character and give kakashi a power up to compete with the higher teir. Kakashi by himself prob. can't do it but his situation because of obito is unique.

Ok people. Who defeating madara? There's the obvious naruto, team minato,kakashi gai gaara lee, tenten withher new sealing tools, sasuke oro/kabuto maybe or even obito? Or all of them combined?

The 8th gate is truly impressive, even if Madara takes all the blows and survives, he will still be weaker than before which will help out in the long run. I'm kind of hoping that Madara is forced to retreat so that they have a reason to do another time skip, so Naruto and Sasuke can power up to Madara's level naturally, and take him down together.

As cool as it sounds,it would be a bad idea.kakashi doesnt have the uchiha body to fully sustain the eye.it already eats alot of his chakra.having a double mangekyou would shorten his effective battle time.

Anyone who actually believes Guy will have any lasting impact on Madara is delusional. Obviously this is just to buy time until the main protagonists arrive. Guy is getting some glory, and it's really entertaining... but Madara is just messing around, and it's obvious he won't be significantly weakened. He's not getting any Bijuu punched out of him, and he won't lose his Rinnegan.
