I don't understand the swapping places they did.
To me it looked like this :The 2nd used the technique to get behind Obito then Minato got in fron and took a hit to distract him.
It seems he didn't get hurt by rasenshuriken combined with the black flames wich somehow hit Obito directly

The 2nd & 4th marked each other. When naruto and sasuke charged in the 4th took the hit while the 2nd appeared behind obito. At the moment the combo attack hit the 4th... The 2nd swapped him out so that obito can be hit.

Don't get me wrong it WAS a good chapter in all but.. I felt it was lacking. It felt very short for one and it was like kishi just put in a new trick just to shut us up. Neither obito nor madara are even trying! I'm starting to get a bit impatient. I don't think I'm the only one when I say, we want to actually see the storyline progress a little! I mean with the massively OPd enemies in the battle you got to wonder, why haven't they just killed them all? They could've done it about 9 times over by now. And what is this trump card of madara? Does he really need any more power? I say this cause I have a huge feeling this is gonna end badly. With either naruto or sasuke dying or one of the allies getting some random immense power source that will turn out to be just enough. Kishis down to the last straw, and im afraid that what he's about to do next will lose a lot of readers...

kishi dug himself a hole by giving everyone on the battlefield all these village-destroying wide scale justu when he basically has to protect the alliance due to plot. there's a trope called plot inspired stupidity and it's in-effect now.

madara or tobi cannot just kill everyone even though kishi's given them the power to. it's kind of annoying.

i think the trump card honestly has something to do with the kyuubi since that's madara's favorite pet. so naruto could be introuble soon if madara is just letting naruto/kyuubi wear themselves out. i mean the whole war is supposed to be about casting infinite tsukiyomi but where the fek is it?? madara might actually need full kyuubi power to join with juubi for it to happen.

I gave this one a 5 once I figured out that beast combo by Minato/Tobirama. Naruto and Sasuke were unknowingly pawns in their plan :leaf:

seriously? if it hasnt been over a year yet then its been damn close and this shinobi world war arc has barely progressed anywhere. we had a couple months of near constant talking then a few chapters with some fighting then nothing again and after a few weeks of talking and near no action we get...1 attack that takes an entire chapter to do. seriously? is it ever going to pick up and go somewhere or is it just never going to end? was it last fall that tobi was revealed to be obito? its been almost a year since that happened and weve barely gone anywhere! come on kishi this is getting ridiculous!

sorry to nitpick at details here, but i believe the 4th teleported himself either to the 2nd or to some other marked location, because the way the jutsu works is like a reverse summoning jutsu. you cant bring things to you but you can go to them. again, sorry to nitpick like that, just couldnt help myself

also, tobirama wasnt trying to hit obito, he was just trying to mark him, which hopefully means get ready for some high speed high flying action from him and the 4th. im predicting that 2nd is going to teleport to obito and then the 4th is gonna teleport to the 2nd and theyre both just gonna unload on him (at which point the 4th will also place a seal on obito for easy access when the 2nd isnt in position). then again, the plot hasnt really progressed much the last few months so we'll see

First off Tobirama ****ing Senju FTW!!!!! This guy is truly badass. He takes Obito's bijuu bomb in his bare hand like a boss and gives it back to him as a gift, after he marked him with the FTG seal, all this done by a clone(the returning the bijuu bomb to Obito). Loved the way he schooled naruto and made fun of minato and his ridiculous namings lol. Now its clear that he is just as skilled in the FTG as Minato and has some good feats, still waiting for suiton though. Him and Minatos coordinated FTG attack was beautiful and genius, this allowed naruto and sasuke to connect their blaze realease rasensuriken after Obito was switched with Minato. Kudos to naruto and sasuke for another great combo attack, wish sasuke would show more lightning techs, but I guess when going up against the 10 tails jin you use your "A" material.

P.S. Sasuke's eyes didn't bleed when he used amaterasu, which meens he's getting more accustomed and powerful by the second, I smell and upgrade cooking.

he already got it, its called EMS. he got that upgrade literally about a year ago.

just checked, the official unveiling of obito as tobi was chapter 599, were about to have chapter 642 release. that means between now (before 642) and then, there were 42 chapters (42/52 weeks in a year) which, along with a few missed weeks where there were no chapter releases, means that in just under a year, the plot has barely progressed at all. ok, i think im officially done with naruto

I loved this chapter!! I like the fact Shikamaru was hinted to have thought of a plan..On one panel he is seen with his eyes closed as he seems to be in his "thinking" position then his eyes open and he looks like hes got a masterful plan. Overall the chapter was great! I like the creativity of the battle and the smugness from all these beasty characters..my fav part would have to be when Tobirama starts using hiraishin..I dont know why but when Tobirama uses Hiraishin it looks so much cooler hahaha

I wonder if Tsunade and the other kages are having a picnic somewhere ...they were moving on gaara's sand !?... also i am unable to understand what that "know it all" Ooooo...ru....chhhiii...marrrru meant when he said 'then "He" has changed'(talking about jiraiya) .... also gamabunta was busy somewhere else??? (Naruto summoned him in kyubi mode... yet gamakichi appeared saying dad was busy somewhere else)...
Slowly but steadily is masashi kishimoto is trying to bring jiraiya back??????????????/

I don't know about the Kages, but here are my thoughts on the rest:

1. I think Orochimaru was explaining that he changed as Jiraya could've changed, if the latter were still alive.
2. The voice actor for Gamabunta in the anime passed away, so I think that Kishi was paying his respects by retiring the character in both manga and anime.
3. It would be fun to have Ero-Sennin back.
