[Predictions] Naruto Manga Chapter 639 Discussion and 640 Predictions

This was a great chapter; there was just enough action and talk to spread the chapter out, and I actually feel like I got a lot from it. It's so cool seeing the other Hokages finally do something. Tobirama was pretty awesome with that technique, but Hiruzen? Yeesh, I felt for the man when his face got tore up, but then remembered "oh yeah, he's dead!" Haha.

Sasuke saving Naruto completely took me by surprise; I had to re-read the panels to make sure I wasn't seeing what I wanted to xD And his arrogance is just becoming so adorable to me. He doesn't know if he wants to play the good guy or the big bad wolf; he's just so confused, it's ridiculous, but I can't help but want to hug his face in my boobs and tell him it's going to be alright :yayy:

For people saying Naruto is going to kill Sasuke?

Have you forgotten who we're dealing with here? Mr. "King of Naivety" himself; he's too in love, obsessed, whatever you want to call it with Sasuke to take his life and still live himself. I believe the final battle will result in A) him talk no jutsuing Sasuke into having a change of heart and going for Hokage together or B) they die side by side after battle like Zabuza and Haku did. I have one other theory...but I'm going to keep that one to myself, and if it happens, I'll be like "AHH YEAH BISHES!"

Yeah, chapter got a 4/5 from me; it was pretty great, and I'm definitely anticipating next week.

I agree completely with this... He's never consistent with Narutos character... 1st he makes him repel 6 bijuu bombs to save Kakashi n guy with his new form, n now he can't or isn't doin shit.. Smh.

If you look closely you'll notice he's not in his full bijuu form -- he's in the first one cuz he doesn't have full access to the chakra as kyubi is quietly recharging. the other form is strong but still not as powerful as his full bijuu transformation.

Sasuke really confuses me man the guy can't make up his mind... First he wants to destroy Konoha, then he hears the truth about Itachi from like 4 different people including Itachi himself so then he wants to save Konoha and become Hokage, now he saves Naruto because he wants to be the one to kill him or whatever?

Um...he is kind of the most emotionally scarred character in this series. Itachi already told Naruto Sasuke was a blank canvas that could be painted any color at any given time, or something to that extent. He's confused and been misguided damn near his whole entire life. Experiencing what he did at such a young age and having a false image about the person he heavily admired and was closest to?

Yeah, he's screwed up which is why he's so wishy washy. It honestly makes sense.

Wow! What a great, action packed chapter. 5/5 for me =D I really enjoyed it this week. Juubito showing his beast powers, maybe a little too OP but we all know our heroes will come up with something to stop him eventually. The Edo Hokages getting into the action was awesome. Their analytical skills are stellar. I am very curious to know what's up with Sasuke as many of us are, is he really good? Is he really bad? Is he just still confused? What exactly is his end game? The writing on the wall from the last few chapters is that he has some ulterior motives and it seems Naruto is definitely involved with his plans somehow.
I am also interested to see what the Hokages and Oro will do once they arrive. A lot of people are saying Jiraiya will be coming back, I am not sure and I really don't think it is necessary but who am I to say. Oh well, I am excited for next week. Can't wait to see how Naruto and Sasuke will recover from that double face palm...

That have to and need to hate on Sasuke cause you can boost your favorite character up "beside it titile Naruto, so Kishi want me to be a Brainless, Drone, Sheep that I am and to be a cheerleading frontrunner for the guy who should end up the best, cause the manga is name after him, if it was name Sasuke I would have love Sasuke".

Sorry to tell you Kishi said at one of his Naruto convention, that Sasuke is meant to be a true rival to Naruto, not beneath him, fake rival like some manga write. But a guy more of a L to Light from deathnote type rival, that certain time in the manga Sasuke will be stronger than Naruto and at the end when it come to their final fight, it will be a A1 ninja vs A1 ninja, not main character vs a guy. That why he made Sasuke the genius of the manga and Naruto more of a underdog compare to him and the reason he let Sasuke beat Naruto two times in a row already in a fight (which he said he think never been done to a main character in a manga before), to help motivate Naruto to keep up with Sasuke and show, the fans of the manga, that you can compete with a genius or with a talented person through hard work (that another fact" so I guess you hate Kishi now to).

So you are right on the point, that debating you is a waste of time, because you on here to text debate your opinion about how much you love a character and how you want him to get power up to become better than everyone. Not to debate the fact's of the plots and storyline so far, or to debate theories base on fact's, but to just Naruto Balls Boy the forum (there are Naruto character fan clubs or groups for that) and I am done thinking I can have a real debate with you, so I want (you have to much of Naruto white chakra in and all over your body).

I sincerely hope that you aren't being serious right now. You have good points, but your methods of sharing them are substandard. Dude cut it out with the Naruto Balls Boy delusion (you must be caught up in a Naruto love genjutsu).

Naruto have never been a great analytic skill fighter and he is far from genius. that why Kakashi told him, he need cheat jutsu ( that he can do because he has so much chakra) to learn how to do element jutsu, without needing a year or two trainning, unlike Sasuke who is a genius and truly analytic fighter.

Naruto have great battle instinct, heart to fight anyone, abundance of chakra (which make him be able do thing other ninja couldn't and make his ninjutsu so powerful) and a strong love jutsu he can cast on people, but genius and analytic skills please (battle analytic are totally different from what Naruto have in battle instinct). Sasuke and other analytic fighter start off doing jutsu just to figure their opponent out and by mid fight, he know he have them beat and is just setting them up into his trap. Naruto is in the moment fighter and have great gut instinct to pull jutsu out at the right time. So stop trying to make Naruto like Sasuke, Itachi, Kakashi, Shino or Shikamaru cause he not, but is a great ninja in his own way).

Yes, he was getting owned, but without his plan, Kakashi wasn't going to get freed. I could bring up other points in the Manga where he has shown this same skill but on a more effective scale. The only ninja who's "clone can protect an entire village" quoting Hokage Tsunade Sama. In Naruto episode 339 titled run Omoi. The only ninja who's shadow clones turned the battle around and defeated the undetectable white Zetsu, the only ninja that his clone could defeat the third riakage, the second ninja and only living ninja in narutoverse that ever befriended all the bijuus, the only that his clone could use sage mode. The only ninja that could ever master the frog sage mode, the only ninja that turned undeserved Hated to Love through hard work, the only ninja that believed in the good in sasuke even the whole world including sakura gave up on sasuke and declared him a rogue ninja. The only ninja who didn't know his parents at all but achieved a lot and only met them in his mind, yet trained and got rasen shuriken, I could go on and on about his character and sacrifices and achievements. Sasuke I like his cool calm calculated character until he became a cry baby I guess all uchihas are except itachi and his dad and mum also suishi but all the other have the uchiha power madness disease and sasuke is no exception. Finally I don't hate the character I only hate the character of the character (lol) and his lack of a big heart to grow up and be matured.

Yeah so it seems, but I think kishi is forgetting he made naruto almost as fast as minato I don't know why he hasn't used that after against A the 4th riakage. I mean he should have used it when fighting obito or against the juubi and also so many situation he is been watered down. Stop it with the Naruto is a genius crap, how long and how much of the manga have you read cause you need to start over if you have that opinion. You don't have to take my word on it, go google up Kishi quotes and see if the quote is still out there from the early stage of Naruto. Kishi said that Naruto is not a genius, but his love and caring of people pushes him to unbelievable level and that what make him speciial from the other great ninja's. There are alot of genius in and was in Naruto manga, but Naruto is not one of them or ever was (why can't you Balls Boys get that), unless he a genius when it come to caring about people (now we know Kishi had strong characters more caring than genius, like that in the first Hokage and one of the Sage of six path sons).

What you quote as battle analytic skill, I text as great battle instinct or cunning (I don't think that it is a lesser skill in a fight, because it make Naruto unpredictable in a fight). I am not saiding Naruto is dumb, but he not a genius (just like most people in the world, so he is more relatable to people) and in the right time in his fight, Naruto have a nich of pulling out the right ninjutsu. But that not act like Naruto don't know his other element jutsu and can't do rasengan without a clone (just like him being cunning in fights, Naruto is also cunning on finding easier ways to do jutsu, because he have so much chakra, also like how he learn to do sage mode) and that he don't need help or someone to bail him out in every fight he had.

Look Minato Naruto own dad put this issue over the top for me, by noticing Sasuke analytic skill and being impress by this young 16 year old ninja, over his own son (because that is and was not ever a skill that made Naruto special or impress ninja's about Naruto, his heart and caring is what impress people when it come to him).

Also Lee is a true genius at hard work and training and Naruto is no where near his level when it come to that (the guy body become great just cause he can physically push it, without using ninjutsu, but taijutsu), so again stop trying to give Naruto someone else title, for what they are skillful at doing or genius of.

I really believe that the only people that will matter in this fight in the end are Karuma, Kakashi, and Madara. I took a long time to think this through and I believe Karuma might be one of the few to find a weakness in the 10 tails. Or maybe with his full assistance, it can change the course of the battle. Now Kakashi is still in the other dimension somewhere. He might come out of nowhere and use some technique to severly damage Juubito. If I was writing it, I'd pluck his sharingan eye out on some Kill Bill sh#t and seal him into the other dimension. But we all know that's not going to happen, whats more likely is that kakashi will play a key role in killing him and come close to death... As for Madara. Yeah we all know he's crazy with power and he's as obsessed with hashirama as sasuke and naruto are obsessed with each other. However, I think his arrogance is so great that he's overlooking the fact that Juubito is practically immortal and isnt really fighting with him anymore. Even if he kills hashirama (highly unlikely but kishi might do it anyway) and kills nearly everyone else, he has to face the problem theres no one to really resurrect him via rinne tensei... AND even if he kills everyone else, he'll have to deal with juubito and if its a 1 on 1 with him, madara will lose... even with senju dna... So EVENTUALLY, in order for him to even have a shot at living as a regular person and not just a edo tensei resurrection, he's going to have to join teams with someone to kill Juubito first... or else, everyone dies and the world is over.

Other stuff. Minato will probably die saving sasuke and naruto. But then again he's just an edo tensei creation so we may see him again. The ONLY person I left out on purpose was Orochimaru. He might also have a key role but he's the most unpredictable character so I have no clue whether or not he will have an impact. But I dont see Juubito dying without either Madara, Karuma, or Kakashi (or all three) pulling a bunny out of their hats at the last second.

As for main plot, I think Kishi tried to make the syllogism too clear between Madara vs Hashi and Sasuke vs Naruto. That being said, I think Kishi wont have naruto kill sasuke because that would just leave an opening for another similar two characters to come up in the future. I think Kishi's main message is about ending the cycle of evil and hatred. So a cliche ending wouldn't really solve anything he's been aiming for as a writer. I believe he's created Naruto to be the character to be the end of this cycle of evil in the world, having the SO6P as the beginning and Naruto as the end. So I dont see Sasuke dying. If anything, I see Naruto dying (temporarily) to prove his point. Another theme thats been reoccuring is that dying for someone is the ultimate expression of love. With Sasuke being the embodiment of hate, I think Naruto will try and die for him in order to counterbalance Sasuke. But knowing Kishi, Naruto will be brought to life somehow. I dont see Sasuke converting any other way. The only evidence I can point back to is when Hashi almost killed himself so Madara could trust the Senju. He believed his life was worth being sacrificed in order for the greater good to prosper. Of course this didnt stop Madara for going evil again for apparently no reason later on, but then again, Hashi never actually died. I believe if Naruto actually dies, it'll change Sasuke. Maybe Sauske would revive him with Rinne Tensei, maybe he'd come back somehow.. But I dont see the series ending without Naruto becoming Hokage... Or maybe even leader of all of the Ninja world. Remember, this is the first time in the Narutoverse that everyone created an alliance. That being said, with Naruto's dream goal being unity and peace, I think he'll end up another figure similar to the SO6P as leader of all nations after he sacrifices himself for sasuke.
