Flashback in a flashback, lol. Oh well, it is what it is. Im at least excited that the back story of the two most powerful characters is being revealed. My money is that their first fight was for a girl, namely Mito Uzumaki. At least that's the trend with Naruto Series. Naruto-Sakura-Sasuke, Obito-Rin-Kakashi, Madara-Mito-Hashirama? Could be. Overall, the last few chapters have been exciting since Sasuke came into the picture. I haven't felt this excited about Naruto manga chapters ever since Kakashi killed Rin lol. That was the highlight of flashbacks, so happy that happened.
I'm still surprised that nobody noticed that the alleged "rasengan" that hashirama had in the previous chapter was just kurama's TBB caught by that wooden hand and used against madara. If u look carefully, u see kurama shooting a TBB and then hashi summons the wooden thing and catches it. Oh and naruto's face paint totally matches hashi's sage look lol

And the story repeats itself again and again and again... So Hashirama and Madara were also on that buddies-rivals-enemies-lovey-dovey stuff? Oh yeaaah, nothing new here
I just hope this seemingly very long talk no jutsu will beat some sense into Sasuke.

Hmm...well, I thought it was a little short and it didn't progress the story as much as I would've liked.
HOWEVER....the content was really interesting for me and it opened up room for loads of new theories.
I'm definitely excited to see how the rest of that battle plays out, and how exactly both of them survived.
Like many others, I'm definitely drawing a parallel with Naruto and Sasuke here. So at the end of the Hashi/Mada battle, I'm expecting one of them to beaten and defenseless, totally vulnerable....yet the other one doesn't kill them. If that does happen, most people would assume that Hashi won and refused to kill Madara (but I'm not so sure. Maybe I just fancy the idea of Madara winning, but not being able to follow through with killing Hashi. Meh.).
Anyway, if it does turn out the way that most people expect, wouldn't it be quite the surprise to find out that Hashi helped stage Mada's death or something like that? xd
Overall: 5/5 (It would've been a 4/5 due to the length, but the irresistible adorableness of young Mada bumped it up a point.)

I said the same thing, I think he enabled it to allow for the summoning of the 1000 hands. No matter how powerful a shinobi is, summoning something about 40x larger than Kurama is gonna take a TON of chakra

Now i'm 100% certain naruto will get kyuubi's chakra he needs a huge power up to compete with the likes of madara and hashirama.

Open question to anyone on the forum:
If Naruto was able to summon the Boss Toad before the time skip, and 3 huge toads in Sage Mode, what could he summon now that he has full access to Kurama's chakra and his own? Could be summon this 1000-arm statue/creature/being as well?

kishi kishi kishi u keep dragging this saga. I have mix feeling about this chap, love it bcos I am a fan of jutsus but the chap doesn't explain anything about what sasuke ask for but if there was anything to get from these we just seen the naruto & sasuke combo jutsu preview from madara. Hashirama is now my main ninja sorry naruto lack of jutsu just bump U off also with all the OVA, pre stories of madara vs hashi and now this kishi needs a back in the day spin off off those two, anybody know's of any kishi japanese english version where fans can give ideas. My best part was when hashi went into sage mode without having hold the fort while he was gathering nature energy he so cool. The other jutsu were cool too but asuma and orochimaru took the surprise away.

Simply the same thing. Naruto can only summon want he has a contract with not at the level he is maybe he would be able to give them kurama chakra too that's it.

Just a question, are there some summons you can summon without a contract? Because Oro and Harashima both summoned those Rashouman gates or what ever. This chapter was great, but I kinda wish there was more dialogue for during the fight. Like, obviously it was going to be crazy, with a Susanoo covered beast, and a giant summon in Sage mode? Wow. completely wow. Plus kid versions hahahaha.

I would probably think the Rashoumon Gates are actually objects, not living beings, so they could be summoned without having to have a contract signed.
