Interesting, i've heard people talk about the relation between Naruto/Sasuke and Madara & Hashirama. If Sasuke is truly keen on revenge and destroying the leaf village, will Naruto have to kill his friend to save the village? When Hashirama fully understood that there was no room for talk no jutsu, he actually got serious and began to fight out of compassion for the village.

From the beginning this show has eastern influences. I will admit that kishi is making it more like DBZ, but with a fight like hashirama vs Madara, what more can we expect? Small crafty jutsu's rarely work on shinobi of this rank, every jutsu we've seen in this battle so far are S-rank jutsus. The only show the put DBZ to shame in terms of battle scale was Guren Lagen, and until we see Jutsu's the size of galaxies being launched at eachother i'm quite satisfied with how this manga is going. By the time it's over I assure you will be glad for every small piece that built-up to the final chapters.
But maybe sasuke will turn out different compared to madara?
what people seem to be forgetting, Hashirama and Madara were both fighting seriously here, Kyuubi gets taken of madara(maybe used against him too, i doubt that since madara eyes were too strong), both are seriously injured, NO-ONE DIES, WHEN BOTH WERE FIGHTING TO KILL EACH OTHER.. This chapter has single-handedly hinted that Hashirama = Madara in terms of power....

Kid Hashi looks like a freakin rock lee clone without the creepy eyes and thick brows
2/5 didn't like how the chapter was pretty much all fighting, I'd rather see that stuff in the anime

Too many people complaining about this chapter U_U if you don't like what your reading then simply GTFO no one wants to hear the whining 
Anyways it was a good chapter..people shouldn't be surprised how strong madara and hashirama are after all they are descendants of the SO6P and leaders of the 2 most powerful clans.

This was a good chapter i give it a 3/5,since it was all flashbacks and too short.But on the other hand it had awesome fighting scenes.
So what have we learnt from this chapter:
1.The rashoman was originally Hashirama's jutsu,which oro probably learnt by experimenting with the first's body.
2.Madara used the kuubi and shielded it by susanno,but he didn't use its stabilized form,which brings forth the question,did Madara use his stabilized form latter on the battle to bring down hashirama?
3.Hashirama was a sage and could use senjutsu.Since naruto is a toad sage and Kabuto was a snake sage,what exactly kind of sage was Hashirama? Maybe he learnt sage mode from the shikkotsurin forst,or,"Damp bone forest"!
4.Hashiramas and Madara,were exactly like Naruto and Sasuke.This indicates that Naruto would have to kill sasuke if he continues the path of revenge.Hashirama thought of Madara like a brother and didn't want to kill him as a fellow leaf ninja(like naruto),and he knew Madara form his childhood(like Naruto).
5.Unlike Madara and Hashirama,Naruto was always the underdog in every situation while sasuke was the talented genius.In their childhood,Madara was the underdog while Hashirama was the talented genius.
What do you guys think of my points?do they seem legit?
I have a theory that maybe during a battle Hashirama accidentally killed Izuna or for some reason was resposible for Izuna's death.But this could be all wrong.
p.s for all of those who flamed my theory which suggested hashi had sage mode,cuz it seemed the reasonable powerup for him to compete with Madara,SUCK ITTTT!!!

Beautiful. Seems that Madara and Hashirama were best buddies back in the day! Those two were chopping up those mountains like tomatoes. Great action, bit of insight into their relationship. Funny how during that fight, Madara was trying to convince himself that he was better than Hashi, but during his fight with the Kages, he had no problem admitting that he was inferior to the First. That Wood Style is some scary stuff there. Kyuubi in a Susano'o? This manga has reached a new level in OPness.

Well anyone really could of killed Izuna, since madara took his eyes, thus making him blind.
What madara meant in the manga was that Izuna sacrificed himself for madara to protect the clan, when Konoha was formed, Hashirama was selected as Hokage, Madara thought Hashirama would oppress the Uchiha, making Izuno death stand for nothing. Thats what i think anyways

A key point that not many people are mentioning is that we will finally be able to see how Izuna factors into the Hashirama/Madara relationship. Did Hashirama accidentally kill (or on purpose) Izuna which led to the eruption of Madara's great hatred? That is only one theory, but it will have great importance to the final decision of Sasuke of which side to take.
In other words if
Madara=Sasuke and Naruto=Hashirama, so logically Izuna=Itachi.
Did Izuna willingly give his eyes?
If not, what event drove Madara to take them? Or What DID kill Izuna?

But we don't know the circumstances behind Izuna's death. If Hashirama caused it, that would be Madara's motivation to attack. I have also entertained the theory that it had something to do with Tobirama wanting to get rid of the Uchiha. Tobirama might have mortally wounded Izuna, making it not directly Hashirama's fault. Instead, Madara's resulting anger would have overtaken the entire village. Therefore Hashirama still mentions Izuna because he had nothing to do with his death.
