First of all - WAY TOO SHORT!!! That is my only real gripe about the chapter (I voted 4/5). We all knew flashbacks were coming... Kishi does this every time someone will die or someone needs character development. Personally, I am interested to learn more about the two most iconic ninja ever, although it seems some members on NB were not. Everything in manga is repetitive obviously, so it would be fitting that Hashi/Madara had a Naruto/Sasuke type relationship in the past.
I liked seeing Madara and Hashi use/combine jutsu in ways we haven't seen. I liked the instant rival as kids flashback. The Hashi SM summoning was quite extreme but again he is "The GOD of Shinobi" so I guess that could be expected.
I am curious as to how long the flashback of Hashi/Madara story will continue, 2 weeks, 4 weeks... Who knows? I hope at least more techniques will be shown, more information on the past will be brought to light that is not already known and most of all I want to see how Sasuke as well as Oro reacts to Hashi's tale.
I wonder who will get them and how power-ups will be dispersed, since that is a re-occurring highlight in most member's posts.
I am also interested to hear what Sasuke will ask Minato and what his response will be.
No predictions so far from me other than more Hashi/Madara flashbacks to come, which seems obvious.

I liked the fight, but it was definitely short

Hashirama is a f***ing beast and Madara deserves his props for coating the Kyuubi in Susano :scorps:

I can't wait for next weeks chapter, but I hope the flashbacks don't last too long xd

The last scene with "throwing contest" is GENIUS. Of course, it's covered by the awesomness of their battle but in this flashback, there was whole reason of this fight! Hashirama was always first at achieving something and gives advice to Madara. He was irritated by this even at the very beggining. The same situation happened to Sasuke after Naruto defeated Gaara.
Too bad Hashirama power embarasses Naruto, Minato and other strong ninjas I hope that Naruto will be stronger than Hashi at the end, he must surpass previous Hokage's.

I could never give a chapter like this a 5/5 I am amazed anybody would. I give it a 2/5 which is a shame because I gave the one before this a 4/5. The big fight between madara and hashirama turned aout to be nothing more than a giant game of pokemon or yugiyo ...what a let down. Again instead of classic ninja action this is all about who can summon what and who has the biggest summon. I am heavily disappointed with the fact that the direction is going into the large scale hindu and other eastern gods and myths and I feel like its doing nothing but promoting eastern teaching and has totally abandoned the true ninja and action that naruto mangas had before.

Kishimoto ....seriously stop with the flashbacks I am sure sasuke wanted to hear the truth not sit down and listen to a flashback of when they were kids and here we go again Madara is jealous and feels bitter. Hashirama is care free and friendly. Then the two clash over a girl or over some stupid jealousy competition that gets blown out of proportion .....then they become bitter enemies. How typical can this all get. Now were going to have to brace our selves for what I call manga filler of the two going through everything I described.

The last manga was going somewhere and had us all buzzed in on what the hokages were doing. This one was all about promoting kishis religion and showcasing hashirama has the mystical 3rd eye and the diety with 10000s of arms ......I wanted to see some classic uchiha and senju combat with tiajutsu and swords and flames and moktun style not this crap. 2 out of 5 and lucky I was being generous prepare yourselves for filler both anime and the manga.

Exactly my thoughts. Just a brute strength contest with lots of explosions. What happened to the finese of the old fights where strategy and creativity actually meant something instead of "who can summon the biggest baddest object and hurl it at each other?"

And the madara getting bitter thing is so boring and cliche. Kishi has beat it to death, can't we see something just a little different?

That 1000 hand statue Hashi made was sick!! Its crazy how much Naruto and Sasuke relate to Hashi and Madara. Chapter was too short for my liking but still very entertaining

This chapter was honestly too much. How OP are these 2 going to get? Thousand hands Jutsu is unbelievably OP. This technique puts PS to shame and seems on par with the Juubi.

It's a cool fight, I guess, but I am 0% interested in this. Always have been at the idea of it, always will be. The 1st doesn't interest me and most times, especially now, Madara doesn't either. I dislike how they met when kids. I thought they were adult rivals like grown men, not some BS Naruto/Sasuke thing.

This chapter gets a 1 from me because it's so un-interesting in my opinion.

This chapter is awesome, seeing both jutsu's really way out the others "LEAGUE" they are insane, seems like clash of the God's. I know the chapter is a bit short and a flash back from flash back. What can I say a great story can't be rushed. 5/5 for me way to go Kishi..

So it does appear possible for Hashirama to enter sage mode while in batttle, and without staying completely still. Previously, Fukasaku had told Naruto it was impossible to look right and left at the same time which led him to use Kage Bunshin to extend his sage mode. My theory is that Hashirama is so advanced, that he it doesn't take him long to enter sage mode. On page 10, he does pause briefly in order to enter sage mode.

Kishi is probably alluding to Naruto being able to perform the same feat, because throughout the manga, it appears to take Naruto less and less time to enter sage mode. Compare while he was training, versus when he went after Kakashi and Sakura, versus when he entered sage mode quickly against the speedy third raikage, and you can see that he just might be able to approach Hashirama's level of skill with sage mode.
