just because tobi has obito's eye doesnt mean tobi is obito.you guys are forgetting that tobi has a laboratory full of sharingan eye balls.zetsu probably helped tobi collect those throughout the ninja wars and thats probably how tobi got obito's eye.

Not that simple. The knowledge that Minato is Naruto's dad is not common knowledge (though it SHOULD be common sense). And even though Jiraiya wanted peace, he never expressed it to people as explicitly as he did to Naruto and Nagato. Tobi knows WAAAAAAAAAAYYYYY too much. His level of mindrape rivals Itachi's and he's not even using Tsukuyomi.

Tobi never actually said anything about Naruto being the son of Minato, but it's obvious he knows:

He was there when Naruto was born, and Kushina there screaming "NARUTO!" makes it pretty obvious.

Don't forget that Zetsu records everything for Tobi. Tobi knows about Jiraiya's ideals through Naruto, Nagato and the Zetsu recordings. This is all stuff he should know, given who he is and what he does.

Tobi said he got it at the battle in the kannabi bridge... Obito was dead already and kakashi said YOU like if he knows him. Maybe he's someone they fought at the bride and was presume dead and somehow got into the rubble where Obitos body was. There he might have just stolen the eyes or something... Yet it could be him but I'm neutral on this.. I don't mind who he is as long as we get a good fight and explanation on how he survive or who he is

the 'it's too late for regrets' line has me thinking that it really is obito. or at least, someone using obito's body. there probably will be a few twists left along the way.

i must say, kishi's handled the tobi mystery masterfully :O that and the 6th coffin have made the war worthwhile imo

Maby it isn't Obito's eye. Perhaps another Sharingan was transplanted into Kakashi's eye.

I am still with the guys who say it is izuna. And I remember the time when tobi tried to prevent kakashi and naruto to reach sasuke and at that point he said them "children" and he speaks about uzumaki mito like they are best friends that means he's an old bastard Unless uchiha madara erased obito's memory or Obito had some brain concussion after he gave his eye to kakashi?) Btw I believe Tobi's mask is for to control tsukyomi or rather to prevent its effects on himself.

Who says the guy who fought Minato is the same guy behind the mask now known as Tobi? I believe it was Madara who discovered and rehabilitated Obito's crushed body, and I also believe that it was Madara not Obito who fought Minato! I reckon under Madara's supervision, he became Madara's pupil and begin to learn all the forbidden jutsus and gaining full control of his sharingan. And if it's one thing Kishi has taught us is that whoever your sensei is, their ideals and goals becomes your own. And after Madara died I believe it was then that Tobi decided to finish what Madara started, started wearing that same exact mask Madara wore whe he faced Minato, and even went to the point where he wanted to be refered to as Madara himself
