Nagato still had to learn how to use the powers of the rinnegan so what im saying is that he could have met tobi and madara and madara could have told him about how to use the full power of the Rinnegan and in their minds that could have been giving him the rinnegan that is a huge part of the story of nagato that no one knows obviously something happen to them after J-man left them nagato had to learn the powers of the six paths from someone because he did not have them when he was a kid or he would not have let his parents die so lets not assume that you have to be Uchiha to gain rinnegan and not everyone is from the so6p line their were people in the world and the sage of the six paths saved them from the ten tails and had TWO sons and not and not everyone in the ninja world came from them.

Tobi claimed he gave the Rinnegan to Nagato. This is proven to be true because of 2 reasons. 1) When the real Madara was summoned, he acknowledged Nagato in his first few words. Tobi and Madara must have formed an alliance prior to Madara's death and may have planned the whole creation of Pain and Akatsuki with the help of Uzumaki Nagato. 2) According to Kabuto and Orochimaru, Rinnegan is the stage after EMS.

Tobi could have killed Nagato's parents and implanted Madara's Rinnegan eyes in him. The attack on Yahiko and Nagato could have been Tobi's doing. Nagato claimed he "blacked out", killed the ninja and did not notice he awakened the Rinnegan.

Tobi needed a perfect host that could be easily controlled, can use the Rinnegan to great extent and can sync with Gedo Mazo. Nagato was perfect thanks to his bloodline.

EDIT: We can only assume the above. For all we know, Tobi could be a Uchiha and Nagato's father. Meaning Nagato could be half Uchiha, half Uzumaki. There is no 100% answer.

THAAAANK YOOUU!!! I've been trying to tell people that forever! He did blackout and ANYTHING could have happened during that time. The only problem is we saw the two ninja kill his parents, but Tobi could've done something to make them head in that direction. This manga isn't about everyone in the entire world. It's about the Senju and the Uchiha, the people of the ninja world. Everyone in the Manga is either a direct descendent of the Senju, or a direct descendent of the Uchiha.

UNTIL KISHI EXPLAINS IT WE ONLY HAVE WHAT THE MANGA TELLS US TO GO BY. THE MANGA TELLS US THAT TOBI GAVE NAGATO THE RINNEGAN. THEREFORE, TOBI GAVE NAGATO THE RINNEGAN.



Because the Rinnegan is an ocular jutsu, the final form of the Sharingan. Only Uchiha can possess it naturally without some sort of an eye implant. So either Nagato is an Uchiha, or it was given to him by an Uchiha.

Not sure why that's so hard for people to understand, especially when it's been revealed in the Manga that Nagato is an Uzumaki (direct descendant of the Senju) and that Tobi gave him the Rinnegan.

Yea its alot of requirements that is why its only been known for 1 person to have those eyes and thats the sage of 6 paths.. remember when we first heard of pain??? he was considered the god of shinobi.. because he possessed the rinnegan an it was suppose to be a myth to possess those eyes.

but to answer your question yes a uchiha needs a eye transplant to progress further than MS!!! that is fact. according to kishi.

Scene switch to a full moon.
Itachi with his gear on near the anbu police.
Itachi: I'll have to take out the police force first.

As Itachi looks through the window, he sees dead bodies everywhere.
Itachi: What? what is this? I never...
A cut slash from far away.
Itachi; !?
Itachi looks in the distance and a man is shown walking out someones house into another one.
Itachi charges at the man. But he vanishes through the ground.
Itachi: What? how?
Itachi: Could ti be...Danzo...did you hire another assasin...Shit Sasuke! Mother and Father!
As Itachi comes into his house he sees blood.
Itachi: No....MOM, DAD!
Itachi opens the doors to see a masked man standing on them.
Itachi: Mom.....Dad......Damn you! (Activates mangekyou sharingan)
Itachi engages at him but goes right through him.
Itachi: Who are you! Show yourself.
???: If you desire my power, find the organization called Akatsuki and pursue them. I will be there.
The hooded figure looks at Itachi.
Itachi: !? Sha--sharingan?
Tobi: until we meet again, Itachi.
Tobi warps away. As he does, Sasuke walks in the room.
Itachi: !!!
Sasuke: Nii-san...why?
Itachi, set up by the masked man!?

I would not be surprised if the next chapter switched to another battle (either Kages or Naruto). I don't know, the end of this chapter seemed like a transition to another battle is likely.

i have a feeling that this weeks chapter may not be based on sasuke, itachi, kabuto, madara, tobi or naruto... i for some reason think itll be based on one of the other battlefields that havent overcome the akatsuki's army aka tobi's army. cant wait and i hope im wrong, cause i want to see kabuto lose soon!

Really really hoping there will be some epic use of Tsuchiyomi. Nothing so far has rivaled its introduction when Itachi trapped Kakashi in a place where he felt like he was being constantly stabbed for days. We need to see Itachi put Kabuto in some crazy mental, living hell.
