The footsteps are probably way more important than we think, why else would kishi spare so much real estate? At some point Sasuke will have to prove/show us how truly evil he has become. Sometimes it's still really hard for us to believe. The stabbing Karin in the chest part, yes but we didn't watch her grow up... so Sasuke will probably kill someone from his class.

i agree those footsteps are a lot more important than they should be. If you look closely, you can tell he put in a lot of effort to show that Sasuke is on one side of the mountains, while the allied forces are on the other side.
these include:
-rain
-reflected mountains
-light beams only on one side
-showing one side has forest and another having sandy dunes or hills w/e
-even the clouds are reflected

@izanagi54 I don't know... Can you send me a link containing proof? I'm personally a big NaruSaku fan and would be very disappointed if this turned out to be true... Plus, Kushina's final words to Naruto was to pick a girl like her, and I think Sakura is A LOT more like her than Hinata.

it's never clear where kishimoto is going with this arc or any arc in the series but it looks like he's trying to seed up the action on the field? b/c isn't sasuke and naruto suppose to be the final fight. i think that someone from cell team 7 is going to die? and i dont think that it's going to be kakashi b/c he already died once and kishimoto brought him back for a reason R.I.P sakura looks like you're going to die. I pray we get savage blood thirsty sasuke the most savage blood thirsty sasuke we've seen. All this goody goody shit is getting boring and old. I want to see sasuke kill alot of people before he gets to naruto. But hey at least we will have some great action now that sasuke is here as some one stated earlier in the post uchihas don't disappoint when it comes to action (Itachi, Madara, and sasuke make this pretty clear) they know how to kick it up a knotch. If there series we're to go on I'd want sasuke to go deeper into the darkness.

To me it seems as though everyone is towards the sun and mountains the page showing a lot of footsteps headed in that direction on page 14 , then it shows a single set going away from the sun and mountains( ie the opposite direction) Sasuke on page 15.
Which means he is between the support and "the allied headquaters" , the manga also gives indication that when Inoichi pushed so hard to send the message to everyone Sasuke also received it (page 15 and 16 and that he turns his head and looks in the direction the message came from..
This tells him two things where the allied headquaters is and that all the support is headed away from him.
My Prediction is that Sauke will attack the allied headquaters.

Good theory there.
As everyone can see sasuke is coming out of the Forrest and away from the sun, now everyone is moving towards the sun and are expecting to go into the forest.
The support is heading to sasuke direction. Naruto is deep in the forest if you can all remember thats where he met Tobi. So the alliance are bound to meet up. Now I think sasuke could sense naruto that is why he has turned round but there is no doubt that the support is heading in sasuke direction.
I hate sasuke but I can't wait for him to **** everyone up and people who say sasuke couldn't take out the support a retards

Thought I liked the flustration/fear, that Tobi/Madara showed us. This was the first emotion we saw from him.

I liked that fake out, it reminded me of a touch of Tobi's original personality.

Good chapter, it was nice to see sasuke but I think they r bringing him in to soon, let naruto madara go on for a while, u don't want naruto and sasuke to battle unless they r both 100%, I don't want naruto coming off whipping madara's ass, and sasuke walking through who ever he is gonna face, to happen prior to the battle which will be the culmination of all that is the greatest anime of all time, Naruto/ Naruto Shippuden
