Atlast it came. I swear the 9 tails/Kurama is becoming less and less intimidating by the minute, even Naruto is laughing at his name.

I agree and think they'll be friends, I wonder I Naruto will call him Kurama or kyuubi. The hachibi doesn't seem to mind being called by his 'Moniker'.

Been thinkin. Is this why Kishi showed us the Jinchiriki picture proud with the tailes? Could Naruto set them al free so that they can join the battle and win? Did Karuma do this onpurpose? Did he knew Naruto would enter Goku and set him free? 8 tails is weak, Goku beated him he is too big and way too slow, that's why he said don't judge the strenght upon the tails. Great chapter.

I been thinking the same, I think this is all leading up to naruto freeing the juubis free then the nine tails will finally see naruto is different and really dont want to use his body and chakra selfishly but for a greater purpose

As I said before, it's already been explained multiple times in this thread. You obviously couldn't be bothered to read it, so I'll recap it for you since you are paying attention now.

The word 'roshi' in Japanese literally means 'master.' In Japan, when you have an authoritarian situation, ie, student > teacher, employee > boss, ect, you don't address them by their actual name, you address them by their title. Master Roshi's name isn't Roshi, that's his TITLE.

But stupid Americans who don't understand honorifics in language translated the word roshi as his name, and not his title. So they call him Master Roshi (which is actually redundant) instead of just Master like they are supposed to.

So in Naruto, the Jinchuriki is once again addressed as the 'master' of his bijuu, but the fans who translated it to english didn't pick up on the fact that it's his TITLE, and not his NAME.

The four tails is a giant ape, name Son Goku. One of the four main characters in the 16th century epic is called..... Son Goku. He is a monkey, and Son Goku literally means 'monkey king' or 'king of the monkeys.' The number 4 is significant to Journey to the West because the novel itself is one of four great stories in ancient Chinese literature.

The number 4 is also significant to the story Journey to the west as there are 4 main characters and Son Goku is one of them.

Looking at the panel that was referenced to have krillin and chaozu on it, the scene takes place in front of a 'cosplay' stand, where Naruto is looking at a mask he wants to buy. A couple of the other people standing around are dressed up, one of them wearing monk attire and the other one wearing clown or mime attire.

The coincidence is that both Kishi and Toriyama used characters in their manga that are extremely popular in eastern asian culture.

I don't know how else to explain it to you, but you've obviously decided that Kishi is copying DBZ. You couldn't be any further misinformed.

Some people don't know how to research and don't know many of the Culture or the Legends of the East. Lol you have to take what I said in context. I am an American myself, I've been American for almost 30 years, I know all too well how Americans are.

The specific Americans that I was referring to as being stupid, are the ones that decided to translate DBZ into english for the Funimation company.

As for myself, I studied Japanese language and culture for 5 years, so my understanding of the linguistic differences and culture are a tad bit better than the average Americans understanding.

At this point I am just irritated and embarrassed to call myself an American when I read this thread and continue to see the 'lol kishi copying dbz hurr hurr Krillin hurr hurr Chaouzu hurr hurr' BS by these idiots who don't bother reading the entire thread. If they would read the thread before posting, they would not only learn something they probably would have never known otherwise, but they wouldn't continue to post such nonsense.

This is only my own opinion. But I believe the SO6P separated the 10 tails (juubi) while it was sealed within his body. That was why the tailed beasts can speak about knowing the SO6P on a personal level. He had no choice but to release them on his death bed but they had their own name and separate personalities which made each one unique. Please don't bite my head off because as I said, this is only my own personal opinion and it can or may be wrong.

Seriously people, Son Goku is the monkey king from the journey west. In fact Akira took his original concept for dragonball from the journey west. The monkey king with a magic staff, accompanied by a bandit, a sage, and a shape shifting pig. Along the way they fight a three eyed god.

Besides that, still curious why Tobi has Kurenai's chakra chains. Also, hopefully, this quells the question about a monkey sage, there it is, right there.

I agree with you... i even played a PS1 games based on the Journey west... so its proof that the name is from this mythology!!!

I thought it was funny how the ape was named son goku and the jinchuriki's name for the ape is Roshi. I would say its like how DBZ where master ROSHI trained SON GOKU but it probably has some cultural meaning behind it as well that I don't know about like how all of the MS techniques are derived from ancient Japanese people who were brothers...still I had to lol.
