Tobi is most likely the brother of Madara, Izuna. There seems to be a 'We' to this plan. The biggest tip-off was when relating the history of how Madara received his brother's eyes (willingly in his account to Sasuke--by force in Itachi's version), Tobi clutched his folded arms as if the memory was still painful to him (as Izuna).

He could be named Nagato.....the original Nagato, the one that Edo Madara referred to as 'That little brat Nagato finally grew up'. This could explain why Tobi said he 'gave' those eyes to Nagato (a sort of step-son with the genetic ability to handle the Rinnegan) and they were 'his to begin with'. The other possibility is that Nagato (that we know) is the son of Izuna and an Uzumaki (sister of Mito?) A mating forced on the Uzumaki with the sole intention of producing a pawn with the Rinnegan to re-incarnate Madara and enact the Eternal Tsukyomi (sp?) Moon's eye plan. The Uzumaki village was (in this hypothesis) wiped out as punishment for resistance or as insurance against opposition.

We see revealed in flashback that Madara survived the fight with Hashirama. He could have, upon reading the stone of the Uchiha, with his EMS, learned of the possibility of obtaining the Rinnegan. BUT::: How does Madara know of the 'original intention' of Edo-Tensei? Did Tobirama (said to be the originator of Edo Tensei) use it in some form (possibly re-animating Hashirama) to take out Madara the 'second' time?

I BELIEVE KISHI WOULD NOT BE DUMB ENOUGH TO INTRODUCE A NEW CHARACTER AT THIS STAGE.when we all are deducing possible theories he cannot just jump up and say"HA ,YOU FOOLS,HE WAS THE Nth Son Of HIS Nth BROTHER".
The others are a possibility,but the uzumaki clan was viped out due to other villages' fear of their powerful fuinjutsus in the world war(s).tobirama was most probably an infant or not even born when madara and hashirama fought.(though i believe madara lost deliberately to hashirama).plus i don't remember madara saying anything about edo tensei.he said he thought he was revived using samsara technique.(if he did,please tell me the page).

WHERE DID IZUNA GOT HIS PAIR OF SHARINGAN FROM?otherwise theory is good.and what will be the PURPOSE OF HAVING A MASK WITH A DISTINCT ONE HOLE PATTERN?if you go by my theory because he had only one sharingan when he fought minato and later acquired another(during uchiha clan massacre.)

guys if madara coudl use izanagi... he could even create a second ten-tails... no need for Tsuki no Me plan and other shit... so6p used izanagi to create ten-tails if madara could use izanagi i dont see any inconveniences to create another ten-tails

so6p did not create the juubi.... so6p used izanagi to divide the juubi into bijuus...

OOPS.my fail,i thought that tobirama was his son.but all the same i don't remember madara mentioning edo.did you?post me the link if you did cause i can't go through the manga again.but my questions remain unanswered.their has to be a theory which explains EVERYTHING.i tried out answering the maximum i can with mine(like purpose of fighting hashirama,purpose of uchiha massacre,the mask of tobi,who could be tobi,etc.)but i failed at 2 instances.i need help.

THANKS.damn i oughtta quit multitasking and concentrate more.
But madara said"isn't that the technique"which implies that he has never seen it by himself(fighting an edo is too far fetched).if he had done so he would've said something of the sort"huh,that technique.what a disgrace." or "i wonder who ELSE could've known THIS jutsu.(other than tobirama).he was alive the 60 years before nagato's birth.maybe HEARD about it from somebody.

These comparisons on who can take on Madara are making me laugh.

Snap back to reality and realize that this Madara cannot 'die' - to be defeated he either has to be sealed or the technique controlling him must end. This is why the next chapter should fill in the blank spaces on the whereabouts of Itachi and Tobi.

We have only seen Edo tensei Madara ( real madara) use only one EMS technique (susanoo), two Rinnegan techniques, (Absorbs Rasen Shuriken, dissolves sand,) and Chibaku tensei- like thing (big Meteor). Wood Release, and a Katon jutsu. We as the audience have only seen like 3 or 4 of his techniques and already understand the magnitude of his abilities. Assuming he won't let gaara pull him out of his Susanoo he is virtually unstoppable. I can only see Gaara and possibly A making it out of this fight alive. Tsuchikage, Tsunade and mei will most likely die, and the edo madaras corpse will probably be injured in some way/ regenerated. Muu will prob be resealed.

Yondaime( the FOurth Hokage) is still the BEST! Kabuto should REvive Him! THat would so COOL!!!

Yondaime( the FOurth Hokage) cannot be revived with EDO Tense... coz he sacrificed his own soul to death god while sealing nine tails... but yes he is the BEST!!!

Tobirama was a similar age to Hashirama, he was also present during the founding of the leaf. So he probably knew Madara personally.
