imo, Neji is under genjutshu....neji was at the top of the cliff when he fell down. someone( may be itachi) must have put him under genjutshu at that moment....with itachi's talent it is possible to keep the chakra level undisturbed or slightly disturbed making it impossible for normal sensor's to detect.

Fine chapter, I really liked the Itachi's and nagato's part!!
I don't think Neji was captured and the evil one is a Zetsu's clone, I think he's the real one caught in a genjutsu probably by Itachi's MS (if not why would Kishimoto show us Itachi and Nagato??)
I also think that Sakura would solve Neji's genjutsu, doing something useful for once!!!

Seeing Itachi (and Nagato) again was the best moment I've had for more that 5 weeks ago and the thing that Neji went evil makes it even better

Neji Vs Neji will be awesome. I hope that is what happens and that the real neji is alive and ok.It's a Zetsu clone clearly.. but where is the real Neji then?That is the real question.
Neji hasn't been shown fighting anyone with strong genjutsu, genjutsu strong enough to control a Byakugan user. So Neji has probably been captured and a Zetsu clone as transformed into him. I'd understand if it was some random shinobi, but Neji?
Maybe the real Neji is somewhere there too, they haven't met maybe ^^ Next chapter, Neji vs Neji?

he did use Gentle Fist..... i caught that too. I personally think Neji is under Mind Transfer Justsu. think about it...... he can use his techniques like Gentle Fist, but not Bloodline techniques. there isnt anyone i can think of that is dead or rezzed or otherwise that can do Mind Transfer. thats the only gap in my theory. it would be weird for him to be under Gentjutsu and have that evil smile on his face(unless he is slaying puppies in the illusion and he is into that, lol.), so i scratched that idea. being a Zetsu clone is a decent idea in the sense of a dramatic, but over-used twist, but Sakura patched him up so wouldnt she have noticed SOMETHING? and another thing is, Neji vs, Neji has been done before if you remember back to the beginning of the Shippuden series when he was with Team Guy and they were helping Team Kakashi get into the Akatsuki hideout.

clearly zetsu has transformed into neji, he copied his charka (he can copy charka to the nearest detail) when neji ( he was sucking neji's charka) and hinata were fighting the zetsu's.

I think you were 1 of only a handful of people that mentioning the moon in this thread.Well guys hello first cause this is my first post in the forum ! As for this weeks manga. I think that Neji is not a clone and i will explain.
First of all nejis killing spree is happening at the same night so Tomorrow as stated by madara is yet to come (Manga 538). That means that if his moon plan is going to be realised tomorrow its gonna happen tonight right ? Then notice that neji looks at the moon and then passes away. Sign of being under Genjutsu or at least a mind controling technique ??? Moreover when Neji kills the first Medi Jonin there is a picture of the same moon again. Is it coincidence ? I dont think so... I am pretty sure Neji is the first victim of The great Moon eye plan. Sakura also said that the spy must be under a powerfull technique. At first i thought that Itachi was behind the Genjutsu cause of his appearance but then it became clear when i saw that Neji is always followed by a... moon
As i noticed when trying to post the reply i can not post links in my first post... but if you want you can check it for yourself
1. Actually Neji was not looking at the moon when he stumbled.
2. There were 3 pictures of the moon in this chapter, page 3, 8 and 9.
3. It's possible that Neji is being controlled, but if he is then it doesn't make any sense if he targeted Sakura now. Why didn't he did it earlier when Sakura tended him?
4. On page 12 Neji : "......!", and on page 13 Neji : ".........". Those represent thinking and or finding something, it's not something from someone that's being controlled.
5. So I think there is the possibility of the zetsu clone. Neji vs Neji would be very possible.
6. Page 7 showed Neji in front of tent 3, he didn't enter the tent he walked pass it so Sakura was not in the tent 3, but on page 13 Kishi made it look like Sakura is in tent 3. Which is the correct one?
7. 3rd possibility is Neji found the spies and dealt with them.

It's not the real neji neither is he under a genjutsu, it's obvious a zetsu clone and there is no debate needed about it.
1. That neji has undergo a sensor ninja check up they couldnt find anything wrong, but when a person is under genjutsu they can detect it (any kind of genjutsu even sharingan ones)
2. neji is not a evil person
3. neji would never NEVER attack with kunai have you ever see him using em?
So it's a zetsu clone, hes a perfect clone all the way to the chackra....

if that was a gentle fist then zetsu clone is out of the game since zetsu cant copy KG and gentle fist is a style that can only be learned by byakugan users ........ now comes the part that he is under genjutsu..... well "where is shisuis 2nd eye?... think about it... neji did some awesome thinking back when he was told about the deaths..... so ... he is controlled like mifune by someone with above average thinking capability... and the fact that we didnt see him using byakugan is cuz the controller would gain nothing from it since he cant see what neji sees....and he hasent been in a fight that requires it....U_U

Quite enjoyed a few parts of this chapter, Especially Nagato and Itachi Bit, However i do think Kishi is either got a plan up his sleeve or his delaying us certain details on Purpose, Like Sasuke's EMS its been a fair few chapters since he got them implanted, But all in all half decent Chapter.
