With the showing of the full moons Neji would most likely be in some kind of genjutsu. And Itachi said "Of course the user will use my illusion powers at the perfect moment" Neji wipping out all the medics seems like a good moment. Kabuto just struck

before i read this chapter i was reading through the start of the war to this current chapter, and i noticed something that might be helpful to this discussion. when neji was first seen fighting (along with hinata, shino, and kino) against the zetsu's. one zetsu managed to grab and attempted to consume neji, but he used a full body explsion(its more then likely called something diffrent, sorry.) when he did that zetsu fell down, but as he was falling. flakes of his body were flying through the air. i think that zetsu got his spores on neji, and has been controling him ever since. great chapter, can't wait to see what itachi and nagato do.

remember these are NOT itachi's and nagatos body. they are reanimations of their bodies. and itachi and nagato both had their eyes. if the technique just re made their bodies how they were when they got summoned then people like the previous kage and the seven swordsmen would be rotten corpses or skeletons.
they are reanimated at to the state they were when they died by the looks of it and they died with their eyes in their sockets.

looks like a pretty good scene for those with a good sense of nostalgia. provided kishi went for that.

i believe this "neji" is a zetsu clone because not only do i believe neji isnt evil, but because i remember this

all generals would love to have the ability to stir up trouble in the enemies camp at night and cast suspicion on their comrades before a confrontation.Sun Tsu said:

as we saw. both armies have suffered around the same % in losses. if tobi could get that little extra 1% he would take it because it means he is 2% better off. the 1% they have lost and the 1% he gained from not losing any.
add a demoralised enemy into the mix and his gain would be more like 20-30%.
right now this move has the potential to be of greater importance than all of the battles in the first day.
if the JSA doesnt quell this in the next chapter it is going to wreak havok for them in later chapters.

Best theory I have read on this Evil Neji thing. However I think that guy was just used to make us believe he was the spy, when clearly he's just obsessed with Sakura ^_^ Hope that Sakura will be the one who fights Neji and snaps him out of the genjustsu control if it really is that. Time for the female ninja's to shine and break our harsh criticisms. Also have you guys noticed that "eyes" was mentioned alot in this chapter? Foreshadowing perhaps?

Oh my god everyone I just got even more evidence that it's a zetsu clone even though it's kind of obvious.
Okay in the early stages of the war a white zetsu latched onto Neji before Neji blew him away with his chakra ("Gentle Fist Style One Blow Body") the zetsu was of course touching him and in doing that was able to make a clone of Neji without his knowledge. That white zetsu that did that was probably damaged but not killed and during the heat of the battle incapacitated Neji and impersonated him while fighting.

that is a good point
but itachi will have to tell naruto first and nagato will tell naruto they are related and give hime some info about a family jutsu they have.O.O

Ok this for everybody that dosen't know with the justu kabuto is using you can bring back to life anyone with dNA and even you have your eyes took.. when revived you will have them back.
It started great but at the end its kinda lame i tought i would never say that but bah he shouldv stayed with nagato and itachi i wanted to know how that conversation wouldend what there talking about and so on but not this this is kinda lame

I won't do too much theorizing, since I like to be surprised, but my first thoughts is that it's Zetsu or one of his clones.

OK, that was pretty weak. With all the stuff they could talk about, they pick that? COME ON!! You call Neji killing innocent people him being in "action"? At least show him fighting in the war. Hopefully next week will be better. The part with Naruto and the 9 tails was kinda cool though.
that's a good theory. i had completely forgot about that scene. i had a feeling it was either a zetsu clone or someone controlling him, which if it were that i wondered when he would have been controlled. that's a good idea as to when the technique may have either been planted, since we know zetsu's techniques can lay dormant for a short while before activating, or could have been first activated.

I loved the chapter.
To me everyone knows Neji is not himself, but it is a good mystery as to why. My guess is Kabutomaru is transformed as Neji (with some kinda of chakra control) & wants to get Sakura somehow for the same reasons Oro wanted Kabuto's healing skills to prepare for his next body.
just my crazy thought mainly based on how Neji looked at the very end & how he acts around Sakura.

Exactly it could be activated at anytime in theory that is. That being said, and if we assume that my theory is true. Imagin how many people all the zetsu's infected with the spores. This could be the next stage in this war.
