Just wanted to through my thoughts out to be tossed about in the forum fray...
I. I am often reading of the five treasures being referred to as weapons, but they are not.
A. The five treasures were TOOOLS used by the So6P and now the following questions...
1. What were these tools used for? I haven't thought to deeply about it yet, but they will be significant to the story.
2. What purpose would the Banana Fan serve to a master of the rinnegan(So6P), remember such a master can control all five elements, sooo uuuhhh, confusion!?!?!?
3. What is the fifth tool? Good ideas with Itachi's version of Susanoo and it's weapons, in addition to Oro's sword, but remember we aren't dealing with weapons, but rather TOOOLS. Two fans (other used by Madara) seem unlikely, but it's possible, I mean the banana fan doesn't seem to really fit with the sealing techs. of the other TOOOLS, so why not two? Lol. The First Hokage's Necklace could be an option, but Naruto broke it! Although, it could have been the fifth TOOOL, but it's broken now, so there are only four TOOLS. However, this is unlikely as I suspect these TOOOLS will serve an important role to the storyteller, Kishi, especially the mooseterious fifth TOOOL!
II. I don't see what's so silly about the Kin and Gin brothers surviving in the Nine-Tail's Stomach!?!?!? I would say that's pretty shhhuuuhhhweeet, and shows how powerful they truly are, even without the So6P TOOOLS.
III. The Second Hokage's past is become more fishy too me! Doesn't he look evil as well? Just playing with some thoughts in my head, we'll see if I can put something together.

... what i imply here is "tool" = as the word's essence could be a "path". i know am kinda jumpin again on the topic...but hell yea... the so6p has mastered the "so called tools" and that "tools" could very well be a way to be a powerful sage. granny tsunade is a "reliable" source to believe than madara...(here i am again), but as samui described the tools' powers...roooockin' the noggggin'!!! there were sealin' and cursin' techs...good jammin...

rinnegan as others say as a path would not make the banana fan as d same.
the banana fan as a source of the 5 elements' affinity powers is diffferent from the rinnegan's 5 nature types' releases.
..i say the banana fan can create..the rinnegan can manipulate and transform.
is the rinnegan a path? --- i say it is not nor the banana fan.
..i could recall a post saying "jutsus" and mastering them as a "path", and i say rinnegan as a "doujutsu" is just one of those eye powers to master.
..the 1st hokage's necklace was broken. we might as well opine that it could be remade. but that it is the 5th tool? - i don't think so.
mine is...a "staff". we have seen shadow pix of the s06p holding one.
the kin-gin bros are makin waves errrr, nice discussion point. but as the raikage said that they were reviled ones -- i think there's sense there ... that they survived the nine-tail's stomach.
...who would want to swallow a defiled soul like the kyuubi's monsterness...hehe-- i mean, an evil would puke another evil without using a drill.
just take a look at madara and kabuto...tell me if they have a "teamwork", like am a kindergarten...

well, the second hokage as mentioned by a, was forging an alliance with the 2nd raikage. that he was evil?...i can't conceive such a thought. madara and tobirama could have plotted a coup to oust hashirama - if tobirama was evil.
tobirama invented "edo tensei" for the good. i believe that was the intention.
it just fell to the hands of an orochimaru...then we know what happened next.

...so, yours is the gedo mazo...hmmm, i kinda liked it. the gedo would very well suit up as a tool indeed. but beware, some are claming it is the "juubi's body". so prepare for more freakin'...hehe
