Pretty good chapter even though i feel unsatisfied with what danzo has produced.Remember he was the leader of the root(where the most gifted people join) and he fought the third for the hokage position which confirms he was an elite ninja.Yes he was old when he faced the powerful sasuke but that is where the experience and the experiments(with oro and the obtained eyes) should have come in.So he didn t really fulfill his potential. But the flashbacks were cool and we saw that danzo was not always evil kinda like sauske...


We all knew sasuske wouldn`t die since he is the main antagonist and we are all waiting on the fight against naruto( i am surprised i still remember his name lol).I think sasuke made the point of no return with todays manga.He started of as an egdy good guy(which i liked) with a troubled past who wanted revenge but didn t act on it.Then he became a criminal(but still not evil) after joining oro who killed the third hokage and now he has become evil after he killed karin.She was a team mate and she saved his life numerous times.The means does not justify the end, and sasuke slowly stopped thinking about the consequences of his action and started only seeing darkness and hatred.

As for sakura...well she is just stupid.No logic go through her head.She is worse than naruto when it comes to acting on emotions(and without his strenght she is the real burden).

I agree with almost all of you.

Danzo showed some dedication to the village, even if it was only early in his life and before he became power hungry. I guess he knew that Sasuke would be the villages downfall and I understand (kind of) why the hokage's and elders let him get away with what he does.

I'd like to think that Karin is still alive and the entire attack/separation/sacrifice thing was planned by Taka to get Madara to put his guard down, however I really think that Sasuke has gone off the deep end and will eventually lust for more power because he fails at fighting alone in majority of his battles.

I used to like the direction Sasuke was headed in and I think Kishi is messing up an epic tale by just trying to make him heartless instead of making us relate to the pain he is feeling. We should want him to see some sort of success even though he may need to do some horrible things. I guess if it was someone else I wouldn't mind as much, but sacrificing Karin was too evil and a side of Sasuke that I didn't expect.

Sasuke had/has this incredible grudge against Itachi and the others who helped wipe out the clan, but even though he is still trying to exact his revenge, he seems totally cool with helping Madara get what he wants. It probably would have went over much better if Karin sacrificed herself for him and it enraged him to the point where he wanted to go straight for Konoha. I guess making the readers hate Sasuke was inevitable if he wants to end it with Naruto vs. Sasuke.

Sakura is just stupid. She must have some kind of special jutsu like the one Sarutobi used on Oro just to take him out. Still, without assistance she had a much greater chance to fail. It just seems idiotic to me.

I doubt Kakashi will get Shisui's eye because if it could still be used, Madara would just take it.

Well since Kishi apparently wanted to make the story move along, I hope he gets straight to it. There is no longer a need to drag it out any further.

I knw this is a bit FAAAARRRR fetch, but i always had a feeling (or desire) that the show would come down to Naruto and Sasuke fighting but in the end, neither of them would b able to kill each other. Naruto would have the upper hand and the village would be screaming behind him saying kill sasuke, but he would refuse. Then he would escape with Sasuke, and they would become infamous rogue ninjas until the nxt part of Naruto when everyones grown up. lol that would be beast!

and also, i think if Naruto and Sasuke fight right now, Sasuke would destroy Naruto, even in extended sage mode. He will need to learn another beast jutsu in order for this fight to b interesting.

But i think Naruto will learn the 4th's teleportation jutsu and master it to a point the fourth couldn't (like he did with the rasengan). which will make him a suitable match for Madara. Now THAT would b a beast fight to watch.

I think the chapter was really good, i mean, its not often that we see such a far off flahback, and it was quite interesting, to tell u the truth, i now see danzo with diferent eyes, not as a guy who hated the third hokage but more like someone who looked up to him!!! anyways great chapter!!!

But the flashback is actually incoherent with previous chapter.

We have already seen how Sarutobi became hokage in chapter 123

In that chapter he was much smaller than showed in this chapter and the 1st and 2nd both were with him.

That isn't an inconsistency. The 2nd Hokage was the team-leader for Team Tobirama which included Sarutobi. The 1st and 2nd thought Sarutobi was their best student, so they preselected him to take the position of Hokage when they both died (afterward, which is shown in your link, the 1st and 2nd were "advisors" to Sarutobi when he was younger to help train him up to be a good Hokage). So when in the flashback it was just showing the moment where the 2nd was about to die and Sarutobi was going to finally take the Hokage title.

so after danzo died, who will be the new leader for root anbu? now i am wondering what kind of tech or jutsu that those two old advisors have? are they next of sasuke's list?

if sasuke and tobi will go to konoha just after his fight, he might end up meeting naruto and yamato in konoha or sasutobi will get there first, destroy konoha and then naruto will show up. wait, it will be like when pain invaded and destroy konoha before naruto showed up. and at the end pain destroyed and nagato died.

I like your prediction, but I don't see Kishi matching up Sasuke and Naruto at this point in time...true it has to happen sometime, but maybe not yet...I think Sasuke is "evil enough" to be at that point of fighting Naruto, but we haven't seen much improvement of Naruto since Pein, we have only seen tons of Sasuke getting stronger

I feel sort of bad for Danzou actually. All he wanted is what's best for the village, he just had a different way of going about it. And in the end it was his undoing.

There are a lot of characters who are like that. We all thought Oro was completely bad, but when you see some of the episodes of when he was growing up he wanted to find out about immortality because of the death of his parents. He went about it all the wrong way. Everyone thought Itachi was bad, but after he died, you learned that he did what he did because he loved the village and his brother. Hell, even look at Pain and you see the same thing. He thought he was doing the right thing too, just went about it the wrong way.

i actually quite liked this chapter.

Sasuke is confirmed as an idiot...honestly the whole hostage burden line? He only beat danzo because of karin. What a way tosay thanks. What happened to not wanting to see his comrades die in front of him? (and i would say she is most definitely dead following that sealing jutsu from danzo) stupid sasuke.

The flashback of danzo as a young man alongside hiruzen was kinda neat...it made me hate danzo a little less. While his methods were not the best, i guess he really did have konoha's best interests at heart. He did try to be a good guy...he just didn't always go about it the right way. I am kind of sad that he is gone...he could have been an awesome obstacle for naruto to overcome with the sharingans and the first's jutsu.

And sakura...is also officially stupid. She and sasuke deserve each other. How she could honestly think she has the ability to defeat sasuke alone, let alone both sasuke and madara?...she needs a reality check. Maybe naruto needs to yell at her some more. I agree that if sai can prevent her from putting them all to sleep, she doesn't stand a chance against sasuke...especially considering he just killed karin, so i doubt he would hesitate to kill her.

Really hoping we get to see naruto next chapter. It has been far too long. At least, since we saw kakashi and sai's clone, we can assume naruto is on route to konoha with yamato as previously planned.

No wonder he wouldn`t stand a chance:-/ I don`t think anyone else would either. I remember reading that he died in battle like the first. This was proboly it, since he told Sarutobi to become the next Hokage.

Correction: The ambush was from Kumogakure-nin, aka Raikage and Bee's village, not Akatsuki ninjas.

But I do agree ... definitely a death sentence for any Hokage (well maybe not the 4th! )

lol naruto and sasuke against the world? That would definately create some funny moments.But on a serious note he will have to choose between an old friend and he safety of the village. I can already see all the flashbacks naruto will have of sasuke when he was a kid.

I agree that sasuke got the upperhand right now but hopefully naruto will get a lot of screentime now and we will see him train,train to perfect his sage mode and create new powerful jutsus.

Discussion: I was very disappointed with this chapter but when I had some time to think it over I wasn?t as much. This chapter shows a little bit of Danzou?s past and how/when he first snapped. Take a look below:

Here we can see where Danzou gradually began to slip into insanity and how he was never the same.

I will admit that Danzou at childhood was good but when Hiruzen was told that he would be the next Hokage its as if his psyche could not cope with Tobirama?s choice and is where he started to lose his scruples. Ever since then, he grew to become this current Danzou. I don?t understand how people are now are actually saying that Danzou is good just because we get a glimpse of his past. What this showed was simply the origin of how he became a lunatic. Danzou simply wanted to be the Hokage and was why he founded Root.

Although, it is like he himself did not know right from wrong thus would be running as Hokage sacrificing innocent people if it furthered his ideals (this is evident when he killed Kousuke and welcomed Akatsuki to destroy the village Tsunade/villagers so that he could become the new Hokage). I honestly didn?t think that Sasuke would have wounded Karin as she has helped him the most. Although, this is simply revealing how demented he is becoming through every battle he has faced. I don?t think that he is evil but has rather stepped into insanity and since he has that mind set of achieving vengeance anybody in his way will be dealt with and in his logic; Karin was becoming more of a burden. The reason why I say that he is not evil is because of the emotional Amaterasu that was unleashed as a way to protect them seeing as how he saw his former team in Taka.

In my opinion I do not believe that he simply tore his feelings at the seams but simply is transcending further into lunacy. Although, I am displeased with the way Kishi is depicting Sasuke. I mean his morals and ideals were not at all this way. He could have killed Naruto for Mangekyou way back when and decided against it and has tried the best he could to spare the lives he has come in contact with through his path of vengeance and now suddenly Kishi has Sasuke harm Karin who he grew to care about and who has healed him at times. It just doesn?t make a bit of sense.

Anyways >.> I think that it is safe to assume that Karin (who could have still been alive as it is still undetermined whether or not the wound inflicted by Sasuke was fatal) was sucked into that final juin of Danzou?s due to her body no longer bing visible next to the old man?s body. What is Sakura thinking attempting to reach Sasuke alone? It does appear that she isn?t thinking with her mind but rather her heart.

Prediction: Madara will take Shisui?s eye since there is no longer anything to stop him, I suppose. Sasuke?s mentality is shattered even more so than Madara/Nagato and because of this it is possible for Madara to finally manipulate him to his desire. It seems as though due to Sai, the team will arrive late as Madara/Sasuke take their leave but if somehow they make it in time will Sasuke be forced to immobilize/kill Sakura if she became a path blocker? Or will Madara impatiently suck him up? If Sasuke does the unthinkable and kills Sakura I do believe that it will not stop Naruto from bringing him back or else the manga plot and Naruto will have failed in my opinion.

About Naruto; is he still collapsed? It is possible as he hasn?t been shown yet but has Yamato taken Naruto back to Konoha? Or do they still remain in Tetsu no Kuni? I wonder what will happen when Naruto awakes. I also wonder what is going on with Kabumaru and Anko/ANBU Root members. Will the juin placed by Danzou on all of the Root members disappear due to his death? Or will it remain as his way of taking his secrets to the grave?​

I agree with hings that of alot of things that you have said but the reason that saskue has complete changed to kill is because he foundout all the hatered he carried so long against his brother was wrong. That would change
anyone now we see why itachi was so set on never having saskue and madara meet. Because like itachi said to naruo saskue can easily be persuaded

Personally I thought this chapter was really good, it allowed the story to start moving again and gave a proper insight into Danzo, altering his body due to his feelings of inadequacy.
My main problem with the chapter was the implied death of the second hokage against twenty men. Granted they were master bounty hunters, and for all we know he managed to defeat all of them sacrificing himself, it still seems like a poor way to die.
I also hate Sakura's quest to find and kill Sasuke, someone mentioned earlier that if Sai can stop her plan as easily as that how is she going to defeat Sasuke and Madara, I guess it has to be done for the sake of the story but its still a pointless vendetta. However I'm looking forward to seeing Lee kick some sense into Sasuke

Danzo died as a true shinobi i hope that while sasuke heads for konoha, he wud meet sakura on the way and they should battle. it wud be interesting to see the two confront each other. also i cant believe sakura plans to fight sasuke alone. it wud be better if she wud go with lee and kiba. She doesn't even stand a chance now since sasuke is more evil and he wouldnt hestiate to kill her.

Weird enough, I liked this manga.

It showed Danzou's loving side towards him dying for his village and trying to surpass his friend who became Hokage. Looks like all that talk he made about, 'it was for the better of konoha and etc' he meant it from the bottom of his heart.

This chapter made me feel sorry for Danzou and having sympathy for him,
but oh boy did he look cool when he was young.

This manga also showed how a bitchz0r Sasuke really is, I hope that prick gets sacrificed by Tobi...

Overall, loved seeing the 2nd Hokage, Danzou and Hiruzen when they were young.

Can you please read someone's post before you quote it and tell them why they're wrong? Ruler Michael at no point said Tobirama was attacked by Akatsuki.
