Honestly, this chapter for me was bogus... I do not feel any sadness for him.
Sasuke actually killed Karin. This is it for me as Sasuke goes. I remember when he was training with Orochimaru and he didnt kill the people he battled.. but to coldly kill Karin just made me hate his character..

Im so glad this Danzo v Sasuke nonsense is over.. Sasuke's story should be more involved with the his konoha peer group rather than pointless epic battles. by battling or whatever rather than a constant suspense on when they may meet in the future.

I suppose im more annoyed at madara though. his ability to do what he is doing spoils the fun of the manga sometimes.

Glad to see its over. Time for Tsunade to wake up!

I was about to write the same thing, Kishi is contradicting. But I guess no one can become Hokage at the age when Sarutobi was in chapter 123 the recent flashback showed him as a teenager which is more likely when he became Hokage. Anyway can't believe the Second Hokage died being a decoy not being able to kill 20 enemies. I mean as far as I know now Sasuke or Naruto can kill 20 jounin class ninjas without making a special effort. Kishi should have showed it a bit different way. Also a Hokage in a mission with 6 teenager????? I don't know whether they were Jounins or not but that doesn't make sense Hokage on a mission. But it doesn't matter it is nothing important now lets hope to see Naruto in action FINALLYxd

First point; there's nothing to suggest that Hiruzen's memories of being a child, and remembering things said to him by Hashirama & Tobirama happened at the same time. He was looking back over his life when nearing death, he may have just picked out different notable memories.

Secondly; what's so odd about the Hokage being on the field with those six ninja? It was clearly happening during on of the Great Ninja War's, due to Kumogakure being their enemies. These "six teenagers" as you view them, are all highly skilled members of the Hokages' teams. Hiruzen, Koharu and Homura as Hashirama's students, while Danzou, Kagami and Torifu were likely Tobirama's. They're probably more like S-rank Jounin.
Also, the twenty ninja surrounding them from the Lightning village are described as "Master Bounty Hunters", to me, that suggests that they're far more skilled than your average Jounin.

(Also, was I the only one to notice the bad translation for Sai; "This shit just got real", is a reference to the film Bad Boys? )

It was ok. The plot moves forward which is good.
Sasuke is off the deep in now, no going back. Poor Karin saved his ass multiple times only to be coldly killed off.
I feel sort of bad for Danzou actually. All he wanted is what's best for the village, he just had a different way of going about it. And in the end it was his undoing.
Sakura is retarded lol. She knows Sasuke and Tobi are there and still wanted to go alone. Even when tobi completely whooped like seventeen people.
And I loved the fact that at the end the manga name said Sasuke. Credit to who did that lol

I actually quite liked this chapter.

Sasuke is confirmed as an idiot...honestly the whole hostage burden line? He only beat Danzo because of Karin. What a way tosay thanks. What happened to not wanting to see his comrades die in front of him? (and I would say she is most definitely dead following that sealing jutsu from Danzo) Stupid Sasuke.

The flashback of Danzo as a young man alongside Hiruzen was kinda neat...it made me hate Danzo a little less. While his methods were not the best, I guess he really did have Konoha's best interests at heart. He did try to be a good guy...he just didn't always go about it the right way. I am kind of sad that he is gone...he could have been an awesome obstacle for Naruto to overcome with the Sharingans and the First's jutsu.

And Sakura...is also officially stupid. She and Sasuke deserve each other. How she could honestly think she has the ability to defeat Sasuke alone, let alone both Sasuke and Madara?...she needs a reality check. Maybe Naruto needs to yell at her some more. I agree that if Sai can prevent her from putting them all to sleep, she doesn't stand a chance against Sasuke...especially considering he just killed Karin, so I doubt he would hesitate to kill her.

Really hoping we get to see Naruto next chapter. It has been far too long. At least, since we saw Kakashi and Sai's clone, we can assume Naruto is on route to Konoha with Yamato as previously planned.

Discussion: I was very disappointed with this chapter but when I had some time to think it over I wasn?t as much. This chapter shows a little bit of Danzou?s past and how/when he first snapped. Take a look below:

Here we can see where Danzou gradually began to slip into insanity and how he was never the same.

I will admit that Danzou at childhood was good but when Hiruzen was told that he would be the next Hokage its as if his psyche could not cope with Tobirama?s choice and is where he started to lose his scruples. Ever since then, he grew to become this current Danzou. I don?t understand how people are now are actually saying that Danzou is good just because we get a glimpse of his past. What this showed was simply the origin of how he became a lunatic. Danzou simply wanted to be the Hokage and was why he founded Root.

Although, it is like he himself did not know right from wrong thus would be running as Hokage sacrificing innocent people if it furthered his ideals (this is evident when he killed Kousuke and welcomed Akatsuki to destroy the village Tsunade/villagers so that he could become the new Hokage). I honestly didn?t think that Sasuke would have wounded Karin as she has helped him the most. Although, this is simply revealing how demented he is becoming through every battle he has faced. I don?t think that he is evil but has rather stepped into insanity and since he has that mind set of achieving vengeance anybody in his way will be dealt with and in his logic; Karin was becoming more of a burden. The reason why I say that he is not evil is because of the emotional Amaterasu that was unleashed as a way to protect them seeing as how he saw his former team in Taka.

In my opinion I do not believe that he simply tore his feelings at the seams but simply is transcending further into lunacy. Although, I am displeased with the way Kishi is depicting Sasuke. I mean his morals and ideals were not at all this way. He could have killed Naruto for Mangekyou way back when and decided against it and has tried the best he could to spare the lives he has come in contact with through his path of vengeance and now suddenly Kishi has Sasuke harm Karin who he grew to care about and who has healed him at times. It just doesn?t make a bit of sense.

Anyways >.> I think that it is safe to assume that Karin (who could have still been alive as it is still undetermined whether or not the wound inflicted by Sasuke was fatal) was sucked into that final juin of Danzou?s due to her body no longer bing visible next to the old man?s body. What is Sakura thinking attempting to reach Sasuke alone? It does appear that she isn?t thinking with her mind but rather her heart.

Prediction: Madara will take Shisui?s eye since there is no longer anything to stop him, I suppose. Sasuke?s mentality is shattered even more so than Madara/Nagato and because of this it is possible for Madara to finally manipulate him to his desire. It seems as though due to Sai, the team will arrive late as Madara/Sasuke take their leave but if somehow they make it in time will Sasuke be forced to immobilize/kill Sakura if she became a path blocker? Or will Madara impatiently suck him up? If Sasuke does the unthinkable and kills Sakura I do believe that it will not stop Naruto from bringing him back or else the manga plot and Naruto will have failed in my opinion.

About Naruto; is he still collapsed? It is possible as he hasn?t been shown yet but has Yamato taken Naruto back to Konoha? Or do they still remain in Tetsu no Kuni? I wonder what will happen when Naruto awakes. I also wonder what is going on with Kabumaru and Anko/ANBU Root members. Will the juin placed by Danzou on all of the Root members disappear due to his death? Or will it remain as his way of taking his secrets to the grave?​

After the shippuuden part started I couldn't tell whether Sasuke was bad or not. After he joined Madara I wasn't sure but when I said Sasuke being a bad guy but not evil even though I myself wasn't sure few Sasuke fans gave their logic and up to an extend I agreed because there wasn't proof that Sasuke was bad. But now he killed Karin just to kill Danzou also he said that the moment she was taken hostage she became a burden WTF I mean Karin saved his ass couple of times. The time he was fighting Killerbee it was Karin who gave him her chakra same case now fighting Danzou if it wasn't for that extra chakra Danzou would have won. So when Sasuke told Karin not to move that was to make sure he doesn't miss Danzou. Now no Sasuke fan can justify that. Kishi has finally made his intentions clear about Sasuke he has entered darkness and he will follow it till the end or MIRACULOUSLY saved and convinced by Naruto(I don't know it will happen if it is to happen)

Well you may be right about Danzou but still we are not sure about it totally. Now as for Sasuke you said that Karin became a burden??? She saved his life a couple of times and every time Sasuke was in danger she always helped him out. I know Sasuke knew that Karin liked him a lot and thats why she was constantly saving him when needed risking her own life. And you said that Sasuke isn't evil because he unleashed a emotional Amaterasu to protect his teammates. Well that was a LONG LONG time ago considering now how he has changed. I am not talking about if Sasuke was evil when he joined Madara, now officially he is evil. He will do whatever it takes to accomplish his goal. For the other thing you said that Sasuke could have killed Naruto for MS but then again that was long time ago he has changed a lot now he is in the darkness or simply he is evil. Also Naruto is the main character either he will not die or if he dies it will be the end of the manga. Kishi had to made this decision because the moment he joined Madara going against Itachi's wish it was sure that sooner or later he will become a villain. If you look at it another way Danzou ordering Itachi to kill the Uchiha prevented a civil war and also a most probable 4th Ninja War. So just for his own selfish reason Sasuke wanted to kill Danzou. Now he says Konoha is next that definitely makes him a VILLAIN.

I completely agree with you sakura has no chance of winning this fight and you can see now that saskue is all about revenge and hatered she has no way of winning this battle hopefully kakashi can stop her or it could lead to her death which will really change naruto.

I guess Madara will not be able get Shisui's eye because of Sakura and Co. Furthermore Kakashi will interrupt. My prediction is:
Kakashi taking Shisui's eye Sakura already there for eye transplant
Later Kabuto taking some cells of Danzou then mixing it in his body so we will have Orochimaru plus Danzou's powers in Kabuto's body

I don't know why I have this feeling the first one I mentioned will happen the second one is highly unlikely however if it happens it will be something to see. Sasuke common beat the hell out of Sakura either kill her or take her to a near death situation so it will be interesting to see Naruto's reactions

I actually enjoyed this chapter. The best one since the Pein arc.

Just a wild guess. Maybe Sasuke is deceiving Madara making him believe that he killed Karin to please him? From the looks of it, he pirced her right through her body below the neck, but maybe he somewhat avoided a lethal wound, and that he didn`t need her anymore and instead of killing her, making her pass out. If so. Then he`s not so evil after all, and Naruto still got a chance of "saving" him And Sakura and co. or Kakashi and co. will find her and find out that Sasuke and Madara is going after Konoha.

Did you guys see how cold Sasuke was btw? Like: Madara: phju! We avoided death! Sasuke: Konoha next! Whats up with that? Like he didn`t care that he almost diedxd

And about the 2nd Hokage. As someone else said. Imagine those 20 ninjas being Deidara, Sasori, Kakuzu, Kisame, etc. level? No wonder he wouldn`t stand a chance:-/ I don`t think anyone else would either. I remember reading that he died in battle like the first. This was proboly it, since he told Sarutobi to become the next Hokage.

Two more things crossed my mind too. What if the real Sai is actually with Kakashi? That would have been awsome seeing Sakura punch him out only to find out that it was a Bunshin. And since Sai knows the localation of Sasuke and Madara, maybe Kakashi and he will arrive there first? And then Sakura and co. will meet up with them there

Lastly. My guees is that Kakashi and Yamato agreed on that he and Sai would go after Sasuke and Yamato would take Naruto back to the village. And while Kakashi, Sakura and the rest decide to go back to Konoha...

Naruto will wake up on Yamato`s back and then they would suddenly run into Sasuke and Madara That would have been awsome. Cause then the roles would have change from last time they meet, when Naruto was exhaused. This time it will be Sasuke

There's a difference between a single ninja fighting and a ninja fighting in order to allow his comrades a chance to escape. It sounds as if the ninja that surrounded them were powerful, some sort of elite group like Akatsuki but affiliated with a village- not a large group of middling ninja like those Sasuke defeated in the scene you are refering to...and it is also likely they were already worn out. It was a war after all. So the Nidaime was the 'decoy' and fought those 20 powerful ninja (imagine Sasuke or Naruto fighting all of Akatsuki at once...Sasuke was nearly killed fighting only Deidara) in order to allow the six younger ninja to return to the village and carry on the will of fire. He sacrificed himself for them. It was a fitting end for a Hokage in my opinion.
