I guess one of my predictions was correct. What I see in Nagato's jutsu of the Yin-Yang is the potential for the absolute good to switch to the horrendous, the wretched, the impulsive, just as the criminal has the potential to do great deeds.
I'm shaken, quite honestly, in the sense that we emotionally felt grief and absolute hatred for Pein when we saw those we loved and bonded with in the manga die through his actions. And I think as a reader I begin to understand that revenge, just like it was repeated in history leads to destruction and war.
Sasuke lives by vengeance, whereas Naruto puts his emotions aside to listen and respond through the beliefs passed down by his master, as difficult of a struggle it was.
This was a huge emotional ride, and man, this ending of the arc left me satisfied, both for feeling grief and remorse for jumping into the bandwagon of anger towards what seemed to be a cold-hearted antagonist which turned out to be one of the most tragic and misunderstood characters I have seen thus far, much like Itachi.
It is people like Pein, Yahiko, Itachi, and Jiraiya that fight for what they believe in for peace, and stick with the impossible as their goal to impact their communities enough to create change. Change is the hardest barrier to overcome.
As for the next chapter, my prediction would be the devising of the procedure for the attack against Konoha from Hawk, and retrospective or closure amongst those that have died.
My biggest thing though, is what Sasuke will do when he finds out that most of Konoha has already been destroyed, and how Konan will aid Naruto when Itachi's predictions become a reality, what choice Naruto will make in order to protect those he loves in his village and save Sasuke from his moral decent.
