madara using the fox to counter yondaime's jutsu is the same as when sasuke and lee fought. even though later in the fight sasuke could read lee's movements, his body wasn't fast enough to counter lee's attacks.
so even though madara could read yondaime's movements he still couldn't keep up with yondaime's body which is why he used the fox to fight the 4th.

That's not awesome, it means Naruto will never be alone... and have no privacy.
Maybe if his chakra is out, he won't appear again. Which means he will not live inside Naruto.
agree! i don't think Madara is stronger than the 4th; about the space/time ninjutsu probably madara copied from the fourth. it is just like CELL in Dragonballz who copy the instant transmisssion from Goku.
Plus, when the 4th sealed the fox into naruto, i think madara also lost some of his chakra (half of it goes to yin or yang whatever this thing are) otherwise madara will not retreat.... and the victory goes to yondaime.
I don't think that the 4th's Space / time Jutsu Body Flicker is copyable by the Sharigan. Normally to summon something you have to have a contract which is why Summonings envolving contracts aren't copy able by sharingan. If a sharigan user got a hold of the contract then it would be different. Now I know body flicker doesn't envolve a contract but from my understanding of it .. it does envolve a seal of some sort being placed on an item or area first and then you summon yourself to that seal or area where the seal is placed. Not sure where I read that but I did. So the sharigan user would have to know first off the way the placeing of the seals works before he could copy the jutsu. Something that also suports this " summoning to a seal " is when he gives Kakashi that special kunai with writting on it .. could be that he used that as the item he summoned himself too. I also read that he used to throw those Kunai in large battles and summon himself to them whiles killing Shinobi ... but again not sure where I read it. If it is just a regular hand signs Jutsu though then it would be copyable.

I think we have forgotten that Madara is able to change his body in another dimension so that any attacks will just go right thru him. Plus he is able to teleport and has the power Itachi had. Madara is way more powerful than Nagato if you think about it. Nagato has a lot of chakra, that's all. But in a fight between Madara and Pain, I think Madara will win because any attacks from Pain will go right thru Madara. Madara has the ultimate defense/untouchable. Plus there might be more powers that we don't know Madara has. Right now Naruto, even with his current power, can't stand against Madara.

Great chapter, although I expected some action. What a coward!! Madara could not beat the Fourth Hokage himself so he used the kyuubi instead to attack the village!
i agree with most of that, not so much that last bit about sasuke, but everything about kakashi givin him the full story and naruto coming to some understanding with nagato (he did want to hear his answer after all..) i think that minato's belief that he's being used is right on since he is so susceptible, and because madara is so powerful, i think he may have been the one who put nagato onto all the powers of the rin'negan, which means that madara may know of it's only weakness (it's got to have one or two right?)
but to the point: i dont think naruto will absolutely OwN pain. i mean, am i the only one who heard him say that he may have to make a bigger chibaku tensei?? we all could tell how much chakra that took, and the fact that he's not batting an eye at the suggestion that he may make another one must mean that he at least has enough to make it and still drag the fox home. now that he no longer has to battle the fox though i'm sure he has plenty of chakra to make the battle very.. satisfying
but who knows.. maybe the sage-mode-naruto-heir may be tougher

i don't think he actually meant "saw through everything i did" as just his yellow flash jutsu, i think he meant that he was no match for madara's true power, which would explain why he would sacrifice himself in the hopes that his "heir" could defeat him with the same power he used to attack the village. minato was probably thinking "if this masked fellow is this powerful and is using the nine tails, then he must respect kyuubi's power, which means if i have that power, or give it to my son, then he will definitely be a force to be reckoned with and may even have a chance at.."

I totally agree with you. Madara is by far the strongest. He has over 100 years to learn new jutsus. Right now we know attacks by Naruto went right thru him. So, Madara has the ultiamte defense, teleportation and Sharingan powers. and may be more. Itachi was around 20+ years old and so he didn't have that much time to learn more jutsu. Naruto needs to super charge himself with more power to have any chance against Madara.

As I came home from work and turned on my PC, I couldn't believe when I saw that the chapter was out!!!
- It astounds me that Naruto didn't suspect that the 4th was his father. then again nothing really surprises with naruto the number one....etc.
- the chapter was very good, some points explained. But basically I feel that Minato just gave Naruto a morale boost rather than a lot of info, intel, etc.
- like someone said before, now we have to wonder what exactly are madara's true intentions, cause obviously he's been lying. We even have to wonder about the whole Itachi story.
- I expected more info from Minato, specially regarding Naruto's background.
- I don't think we will be seing Minato anymore in Naruto's head.
- it is really weird that Minato was the whole time with Naruto whatching what was going on.
- he couldhave entrusted naruto with some powers to boot other than the fox.
- it was cool to see how the 4th was really smart, he imprisioned the fox so naruto would have a chance to fight madara in the future...man, talk about planning ahead!!! 16yrs...
- I think the final fight will take another 2 chapters, cause Pein still has something up his sleeve.
Anyways, I just read the chapter, so the ideas are still raw.
Will come back when I have read it careflly.

im thinking why didnt minato say anything about naruto's mother or maybe he didnt have the time. maybe minato sealed the other half of the fox chakra inside naruto's mother whats here name again forgot. so he sealed half of it inside his son and the other half inside his wife thats fair and makes sence. but then again maybe she is dead after all dont really know this series is getting complicated by each chapter but trust me this manga has a long way to go.

Minato can see things from Naruto's view. Say naruto was having *** with Hinata or Sakura in the future. Minato will be there.
