Naruto is the most technical manga.

No where near as technical as One Piece. I can see it passing Bleach in that sense but aside from that I don't now many modern manga that in which Naruto surpasses in terms of complexity.

I believe that he took some of the ideas from ancient beliefs on things like spirit energy and stuff. Still, it's so complex I can't even wrap my head around some of them.

I think you read this wrong. It's the Naruto manga, not Naruto himself.

yep, Kishi is pretty damn good. the chakra system and the kekkei genkai, dojutsu, etc are amazing ideas. i don't know if i would use the word 'complex' exactly.... Naruto strikes me as the Harry Potter version of manga and Harry Potter is nowhere near the level of Tolkien's work or Terry Pratchett's Discworld. the same way there are manga with better structured worlds and less vague. Kishi likes and uses vagueness...
