By taking the tailed beast sasuke strips Naruto of extra advantage he could have and add it to his arsenal, if you want to kill someone why would you not take the necessary steps to do it and leave them advantage would defeat the purpose of trying to kill them, seriously dude you should've figured that out before asking. That didn't address nor refute the kaguya statement, it took strategy to beat kaguya along with the sufficient force of strength to do so. Having the most strategic way to use power is greater than having power and not knowing what to do with it, it goes hand in hand, It takes more than raw power to win a fight anybody with a decent IQ should know that
