on top of that, their powers we're still new, also sasuke had to use chibaku tensei on all 9 tailed beasts, which used up chakra aswell

Yea Nope. Sasuke did nothing significant in all those names you mentioned. Naruto did all the work. I mean he fought for days, from the beginning of the war till the end. Yet he stalemated Sasuke and even defeat him.

naruto didn't fight at the beginning of the war, if you remember, he was sealed on an island with bee, he joined the war late aswell and yes, sasuke played just as much as a part in those fights as naruto did e.g he cut madara in half, infact, sasuke even saved naruto once from rikdou obito.

Well it wouldn't make sense to compare academy fights to compare their power now would it? It was their most recent battle so of course it is the most accurate to their power at the moment.

But RSM Naruto and Rinnegan Sasuke also have fought with Juubi but we saw they unable to do much until Kakashi came in with his Asspull PS.

Thats mean its not easy task to fight with raging juubi alone. Juubi that Madara sealed inside him lost his fighting spirit that is Kaguya. Yeah Kaguya spirit was inside Shinju. And Shinju is separated from Juubi. Because of that Juubi never resist Madara action toward him.

I bring all this because many people misunderstood Hagoromo power and capabilities and also the reason he cant fight Juubi alone by himself. But in the end he and his brother able to sealed Kaguya without help from Kamui or asspull PS and Sakura.

Thats mean his power is still above Naruto and Sasuke

I like to think of it this way. Naruto had actually gotten weaker by the time him and sasuke fought. He had lost most of his gudou dama. He had also used up most of his bijuu chakra. So what he was fighting sasuke with was just what he had lest from the madara and kaguya fight.

Now you might be thinking," well, sasuke fought too and used up chakra." Which you would be right, but naruto had used significantly more. Remember, there was a stretch were naruto was fighting kaguya's by himself. Not to mention he was using his Jesus healing on people.

So lets think for a second. If naruto had the same amount of bijuu chakra he had before their fight, plus that huge amount of natural energy he got when kurama gathered it do him, naruto would have shotted on sasuke. Thats just common sense. Naruto could have launched 9 bijuu rasenshuriken or used the gudou dama to make 9 bijuu dama rasenshuriken. That shit sounds like overkill.

Naruto certainly would have obliterated Sasuke then...
However, what would occur if Sasuke had completely mastered his Rinnegan and the Six Paths Technique?

By taking the tailed beast sasuke strips Naruto of extra advantage he could have and add it to his arsenal, if you want to kill someone why would you not take the necessary steps to do it and leave them advantage would defeat the purpose of trying to kill them, seriously dude you should've figured that out before asking. That didn't address nor refute the kaguya statement, it took strategy to beat kaguya along with the sufficient force of strength to do so.
