Naruto's insistence on a Hokage chosen by the people... It's not how Konoha has operated. The daimyo chose Hashirama. Hashirama chose his younger brother. Tobirama chose Hiruzen. Hiruzen chose Minato, and Minato died a failure. Naruto's father was essentially a failure and a prodigy at the same time. He failed to protect the village, instead relying on Hiruzen. He died, and let his wife die. He nearly got his newborn son abducted and kidnapped, nearly murdered.

Then he sealed a demon fox in him. Minato really *is* a failure. Despite what Naruto believes, the previous Hokage haven't been the best of leaders. Nor were they chosen by the people. Democracy is a bad system. It doesn't work, because people are weak-minded, lazy, stupid and don't understand the world they live in.

That's the truth. America too, will fall. It is already declining. Rome failed as well. The barbarians always win in the end. That's reality. Sasuke is right, and Naruto is wrong. Itachi should have been Hokage.

Naruto Uzumaki does not deserve to be Hokage, and he will never be Hokage either. He is too young, naive, unintelligent and more than anything else -- just too uninformed to be a leader. Sasuke gets it. Naruto doesn't.

Don't criticise the plot of the story just complain directly to Kishi.

Let's face it. Neither one of them is ready to be hokage. They are only 17 years old. Kakashi will probably end up being hokage when Tsunade steps down. I don't see Kishi killing her off at this point. They are both too naive and immature. Sasuke is too easily swayed by others, even now Itachi's deeds are controlling him when it should be his words that he listens to. Naruto believes there is good in everyone and that is not always true.

Madara could not become hokage because his own clan wouldn't vote for him, Hashi wanted him to stick around and be hokage after Tobirama but Madara saw the tablet and started formulating his plan.

Minato saved the village by resealing Kurama. His wife died because Obito took Kurama out of her. She did want Kurama to be put back in her so she could die with him but Minato didn't want Kurama coming back in a few months so he sacrificed himself too for the sake of the village. That is what a hokage is supposed to do. He knew Hiruzen would handle the aftermath and that Hiruzen could take over for him.

Yes America is having some problems, but I'm still glad I live here and also glad that it's a democracy. Could it be better, yeah but I guess we're having our growing pains now since we're not even 250 years old yet. There are many things and systems in this country that seem to be getting tested, some pass and some fail. Hopefully, as in the past, we'll learn from the failures.

Sasuke has not learned anything from the past or the present, even though he probably does have a higher IQ than Naruto. He learned all of the wrong things from Itachi's example and none of the right things. He is still driven by hate even though he claims not to want revenge anymore. Even if he could kill Naruto and the Kages, I don't think it would help him much because the person he hates is himself for killing Itachi.

Naruto on the other hand, might not have Sasuke's IQ, but the is way ahead of Sasuke as far as emotional maturity and in learning the lessons of the past. He has made a conscious decision to end they cycle of hatred. He could have killed Nagato and he chose not to, he could have killed Obito and chose not to. No one would have blamed him for killing either of them, some people even wished he would have but he stuck to his principles and kept with the decision to do his part to stop the hatred and not kill.

I'd say that shows way more maturity and growth than Sasuke is showing at the moment.

The people chose Hitler. The people are full of crap. America is full of crap and causes most wars in our world today. Naruto is a terrible leader of men, and a horrible Hokage candidate. Popularity doesn't make a good leader.
This statement has alot of wrongs....... Not everyone chose Hitler. He used really dirty methods. Not to mention Absolute Rulers throughout history have been just as bad. Not to mention the people were already corrupted in Germany

All wrong. The Hokages are recommended (like Hashirama did for Tobirama), appointed, but voted on for confirmation by the shinobi in the village. That is why Danzo would never have actually been hokage.

Danzo was Officially Hokage.

I didn't see any democracy when Tobirama decided to make Hiruzen Hokage out of nowhere. Did anyone vote for Tsunade?
