I could say the same about the Uzumaki and the Kyuubi. Mito, Kushina and now Naruto. Not to mention, the Uzumaki clans sole purpose in the shinobi world was to host Kurama as a symbol for Konoha's strength.
Kurama is Naruto's KKG. That's why he is the only Shinobi EVER to have tamed the Kyuubi in every sense of the word, without putting it under an MS genjutsu.

That is a false claim, made by many members. I see where you are coming from , but its simply false. Uzumaki clan had existed long before, the creation of the leaf and before Madara attacked with the kyuubi and there the Shodai decided to seal it. It is believe that Mito was already his wife, at that point. So she took it upon herself to seal the Kyuubi within her.
So no, there sole purpose is not to be jinchuriki for the leaf. They were simply the best next thing after the original members of the Senju 'Clan', not the Senju bloodline, but the Senju clan.
Also, he is technically the second shinobi. If you count the Sage himself that is.
But yes, I see what you mean, however even without that it is still his power.
