or hes just feeling them out which i hope to be the case, and you are right he was kinda OP up til now. I just didnt like how he went from OP to like not even a challenge without a inbetween phase, like take out 2 of the 6 then start to have trouble. and i do like your idea that he may just be trying to charge in and see what happens, but if thats true why would he go straight for tobi, he knows he can phase, granted he didnt with the headbut, however naruto didnt know he would do that so why charge in when every other time you went right thru him lol. Idk

It's probable he doesn't understand much of Tobi's technique to pass through things, he remembers they tried everything when he faced Tobi the first time, with Team Seven and Team Ten in the Itachi Pursuit arc, so he's trying to figure out how to hit them. Of course, now that Gai and Kakashi arrived and said that Tobi needs to be materialized to hit him, that won't be necessary.

And it seems I've missed a few things in two weeks. Maybe I should remind myself to read Naruto more often XD

I wouldnt really say in the way imo. Honestly I think bee made the mistake. He should have returned to his normal form once he cleared the battle field of the trees that were blocking his view, that was the main reason he transformed. after that he was kind of at a disadvantage since in that form as powerful as it is, hes too big to make fast movement or counters thus hindering his abilities! but that may just be me!
