Lmao still to this day i can't believe he even screwed on that.

"You can change your fate & destiny. You are not bound by anything." Naruto to Neji about the side branch being destined to die for the main branch.

-Naruto is the promised child and was destined to unify the world from the beginning. It happened....

-Neji, a side branch, dies for the main branch(Hinata).

Unless you were looking for black and white moral messages, I don't see much of the issue. Naruto has tried a hand at many values and ideas in contrast with each other.

Sometimes if you try you can change what you thought destiny had given you. You don't know if there is such a thing as destiny anymore than, you know what it has in store for you. You only have theories based on what you think will happen if you follow a certain course based on personal logic as well as calculating known probabilities.

There are other aspects of it to consider even if there is such a thing as destiny:

1) Your calculations may have been wrong to begin with and you changed you destiny to failure because of lack of sufficient efforts.
2) Sometimes you cannot change the fate no matter what but if you don't even try and still are bitter about it, you are definitely going to be worse for it.

Neji wasn't bitter about it and acted in reflex for his mates fighting beside him, rather than only to do his duty for the main branch. That was the difference. He may still had to live with the baggage he inherited, but his attitude towards it counted in how he lived with it.

It's had its ups and down, but here we are almost every single day. Reading about it, writing about it. Some of the characters we even love like they're our own child. We fantasize about them, draw them, debate about them. Most of us, if not all of us, know this anime like the back of ours hands. If Naruto didn't exist, there would be a huge gap in our lives. It hurts my heart to imagine a world in which I have not experienced the joy of watching Naruto all my life. Naruto is my childhood. He's been there all my life. When I grew up, he grew up. I like a lot of anime's, but I only love one. I love its inconsistencies, plot contradictions, all its over powered and under powered characters. All of it. The good and the bad. Could it have been better? Maybe. But nothing is perfect, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

If you look holistically at the manga anime and novels you will see it was a carefully crafted series

The only one people look at and judge is Manga and not other addition. OP doesnt need any outside addition to be a well crafted manga so are HxH.

When the series start as a manga, all focus need to be there.

I've long read a manga since year 1999. And know how to judge this hand writing fiction but current generation think differently.

Alot of series don't get the opportunity to tell their story properly due to outside influences naruto is no different

That cant be an excuses. Toriko been told to end much earlier and the manga get rushed but Shima still able to properly developed Toriko story like world building and its characters.

And for Naruto, its not because it never get an opportunity but Kishi weaker story planning.

That doesn't change the fact he didn't tell the story he wanted even though I think he wanted to leave the series to pursue his actual passion project

If that how it turn to be, that's why Naruto manga couldnt lives to it fullest potential. And thats all between Kishi and his manga. Like you said he wanted to pursue his actual passion project by put an end to Naruto. Means Naruto original story stop there. His passion is not writing Naruto's Shinden/directing the anime but other thing that not related to Naruto. Which mean all Shinden(Novel) or anime had nothing to do with Naruto's original story and couldnt be an add on for the better original story let alone creating a masterpiece.

Wise manga reader will never cares about the Shinden as they know what its all about(Contradict the original story bcus many unrelated story). Its better to create spin off Manga than writing a novel as Manga will always be a manga same as it story.

And for the most part Kishi not involve 100% in other medium of story telling says alot

Everything after the Pein Invasion of Konoha soured the manga. Hell, Kishi pulling a Dragon Ball with Rinne Tensei being used to revive all the people who died, especially main characters, could be seen as the start of things going south. And that was around chapter 450. The War arc last 225 chapters. SMH

Its not a masterpiece, but if you take away the great ninja war arc Then is pretty amazing.

Personally I wouldn't consider it a masterpiece as I did find some major downs to the overall plot in the end, but I also understand that anything ,be it movie sequals series or manga, that go on for too long, become extremely difficult to keep fresh.

But fact of the matter is whether one considers it a masterpiece or not, it is definitely memorable.

Naruto is not a masterpiece. War arc was really a bad arc. The whole indra/ashura thing is a bad idea.
However, it is still one of the best series out there. Naruto part 1 was amazing. Naruto shippuden until pain arc was awesome.

Itachi, Madara, Obito, Kabuto, Jiraiya, Sasuke, Nagato, Naruto etc are one of the best written characters.

Naruto was great throughout part 1 and the first half of part 2 but the latter part of the manga was horrible IMO so that stops me from labeling it a "masterpiece".

Highly disagree, it was really good for a time but the ootsutsuki drama was obviously tacked on at the very last minute. no mentions of kaguya and especially hamura at all and suddenly at the end we have have another convenient parallel to Naruto and sasuke, and that's another annoying thing, there were so many parallels that it kinda limited where you could go story wise. I'll admit for a time it was good. Kishi killed it when he made it all about senju and uchiha though. It was great for a time but it is far from a masterpiece.
