It's been getting better.. Way better. Shippuden is awesome,Akatsuki abrought an whole different level to the series.
Don't know what you're talking about him being annoying. Lately he's shown that he can be very mature when he needs/wants to be. Ever since he defeated pain he hasn't really done anything remotely annoying.
I believe that his fight with pain really changed him, and made him finally grow up.

Agree with this, and the claim that the Sasuke hunt is pretty worn out.
Still, the dimensions that have been opened up by Madara/Pain/Sage mode are way better than most of pre-Shippuden.

Naruto has actually got more of a plot now that he left. There is a main reason so it makes it more suspensful as to what will happen in the end. I think it is getting better

In terms of Anime/Manga then its gotten more interesting, More serious problems are showing up and they may even experiance war which has only been hinted on as being hell before the timeskip, now we get to find out, as with how the plot has aged, the kiddy games are over.
In terms of Naruto as a character, I would say he's matured in a sense that he's starting to understand the limits of certain approaches to situations he's been encountering.
The hotheaded/Reckless idiot routine has been divided between Sakura and Sasuke. (whether you like it or not, It's true)

Yeah, alot of problems show up right after one is solved or figured out. Now the problems are more serious than those before the time jump. In the first part the two big things were the Exams and Sasuke leaving. Now, every part is effecting the future. Starting with Gaara getting captured. The Akatsuki has another tailed beast and Sasori was killed, also Gaara no longer has the 1 tail. Then Sai and Yamato came, which definatly is effecting alot. They learned more about Sasuke. Hidan and Kakuzu show up, ending up with Asuma's death. and i think you all get the picture right? Anyways, everything in Shippuden effects everything in the future, unlike the first half, where only about 2 or 3 things effected it.

I wouldnt say worse. I agree with the whole lets go rescue sasuke and bring him back has been beaten to death...I have enjoyed getting into new areas with the Uchiha background and some dark areas.
I believe as the series goes on its showing the "real" world of naruto that has always been going on(kind of stuff ANBU and Hokage deal with on a daily basis), just didnt involve naruto and his friends as much because they didnt have the skills or maturity to handle it.

Sasuke gets strong and in-turn makes Naruto stronger. Every Hero needs someone to drive them on. Plus every time Naruto gets stronger Hinata gets stronger chasing Him.
