Naruto had a lot of competition

I just watched the latest Naruto Shippuden episode( a filler).
It portrayed that how Konohamaru is like Naruto and among all the genins noone is talented enough.
I mean really Naruto had Shikamaru( the most genius guy after his father in Konoho), Kiba(he was moderately strong), Lee(who mastered 5 gates), Neji(one of the strongest Byakugan users), Sasuke(the last uchiha and a true avenger), and many more as competition. Is the level of ninja world falling this much that in Konohamaru's batch no one knows a single jutsu and are afraid of Sumo wrestlers.

Agreed....only one that seems to bring talent is that girl from the hyuga clan and konohamaru

I didn't watch the newest filler yet, but we never received much info about Konohamaru's generation.
When Konohamaru is in the spotlight he and his two useless friends are the only tools the anime has.

Hashirama/Madara generation the bar was set high.
Tobirama bar was lowered
Hirizen generations the bar is lowered even more
Minito bar gets raised alittle
Kakashi generation The bar gets raised
Naruto/Sasuke generation bar gets raised alot by most of the students surpassing their masters
Konohamru generation bar get lowered again (alot)

It seems after every Uchiha vs Senju/Uzumaki rivalry the next generation lets everyone down

I actually reckon that Naruto & Sasuke are the only ones that 'surpassed their masters' afterall, they are the only ones actually training and attaining great results(power).

That was a complete over exaggeration over his rasengan due to the fact it was a filler ....

What happens in the fillers shouldn't be taken seriously because it's not really part of the story!

Hiruzen and Tobirama had one of the best generations.

Konohamaru's class is filled with kunai chuckers. Naruto's class just happened to be filled with guys from top clans. Neji, Sasuke, Kiba, Hinata, Ino, Choji, Shikamaru, and Shino were all from big name clans with special techniques. Those clans will continue to reproduce and make more special ninjas. Lee, Sakura, and Tenten all developed their own special moves as well, Lee became one of the best taijutsu users in the world, Sakura is a great medical nin and has great genjutsu defense, and Tenten is the best weapon user.

There will always be people from big name families, like Asuma's son will likely have inherited some of the third's DNA. Kakashi if he has a kid will be a pretty talented Hatake. Naruto's kid is going to be strong. Sasuke's kid is gonna be bad ass. Neji and Hinata's kids are obviously gonna be great. And everyone born into Kiba, Shino, Ino, Shikamaru, and Choji's clan is going to have their respective clan techniques as well.
