A brand new Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm Generations and Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact interview featuring developer CyberConnect2′s president, Hiroshi Matsuyama has been released! The interview was conducted by the good people at Naruto-Mx during Japan Expo, so a big thanks to them! Matsuyama-san is talking in Japanese, but the the interview has French subtitles. Below we have attempted to translate the interview from French into English!
Question: Why is the game called Storm Generations and not Storm 3?
Answer: The main reason it’s called Storm Generations is that it’s not a true sequel to Storm 2. In this game our focus was to incorporate not only the Shippuden generation, but also the younger one as well. We wanted to answer the request of the fans to include characters like Zabuza and Haku. That’s why it’s called Storm generatons.
Question: Rumor has it Generations will come out Fall 2011, can you confirm this info?
Answer: I’m not sure where you heard this information, but Generations is not expected Fall 2011 in Japan. The only game planned for 2011 is Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Impact for PSP and it will come out in October in Europe. Storm Generations is due out in 2012. There is no exact date yet, but we would like to release it as soon as possible. Our goal is to have a simultaneous worldwide release.
Question: Can you elaborate on the Storm Generations story mode?
Answer: The game has just been announced, so I can’t give many details. However, I will say the story mode is not based on adventure like it was in Storm 2. This game will focus on fighting. We will have a new story mode though that is new and compliments the Generations theme. That is the only thing I can say, for now, but rest assured there will be many surprises so please wait for more info!
Question: We’ ve seen Raikage, Cee, and Darui will be playable. What other characters can we expect?
Answer: At this time I can’t say who will be playable and who will not, but I am sure fans will be happy with the playable roster!
