How did this turn into Naruto vs Sasuke? Again...?

Sasuke would be the same he is now, most of his motivation during Part 1 and midway through Part 2 was to kill his brother, after that it was to exact vengeance on the village (even said he didn't care that Naruto might have gotten stronger), after that it was reuniting with Itachi and uncovering the truth, ultimately making his decision to protect Konoha. Only thing different from now would be that he'd still be bent on his revolution.

Naruto had absolutely no part in any of that.

Sasuke may have fullfilled his goals later. But it was cause of Naruto the focus went on him. Had Naruto never focused his intentions on Sasuke. Sasuke would not be a character he is now.

You see? This is exactly what I am talking about. Naruto wanked Sasuke to the point where it made us feel he was important. This is basically another way for Kishi to give Sasuke some sort of relevance.

I would like to beg to differ, so let me throw in my two cents to this absurd post.

Both Naruto/Sasuke have paralleld each other with those thoughts, always wanting to become like each-other.

Now onto the discussion: If Naruto never met Sasuke, do you think his dream of becoming the Hokage would of changed? He would still have the Kyuubi, he still would have beaten Gaara, he still would have met Jiraiya. He would still be the Child of Prophecy.

Both characters can exist without their former, but together the story lies.

Dude Naruto has a thing of making people go full power against him. Its like he bring out the best of them. Gaara, Sasuke, and Madara are all examples of this.

When developing the original Naruto manga, Masashi Kishimoto had not initially intended to create Sasuke. After speaking with his editor about the future of the series, he was advised to create a rival character for the series' protagonist, Naruto Uzumaki, which resulted in Sasuke's creation.
