No...most of his chakra is used to suppress the fox. If the fox wasnt there he would have mastered it even quicker. Yamato was there so that when naruto's spare chakra was depleted the fox wouldnt be able to get out.
Even kakashi said if naruto was able to use all his chakra he would have what 100 times more chakra than kakashi.

Edit: if he was using the foxes chakra he would have either had a cloak on or techniques would have had red chakra

Yeah...He is stronger then the kyubbi that is why he was able to defeat himU_U so without kyubbi naruto would still be powerful cause he has the greatest jutsu...the guts no jutsu:scorps:

u kno the advantages naruto has when kyubi is not there did u ever think of that
1. he uses chakra to suppress the kyubi without it he would have more
2. kyubi affects his chakra control so without it he can use his chakra more efficiently
3.without kyubi ma and pa can fuse with him like jiraya
so yea he would have enough chakra dont doubt that
And in Sm he can so what jiraya did and even better,he has FRS, and he mastered sage mode at that. so if u think sm naruto is not kage level you're pretty much putting j-man on the same level who has been offered the position of hokage in the past.
U either hate on naruto or u dont know what kage level is. Naruto clearly demonstrated that he is kage level in his fight against pain, no one other than him even stood a chance. and his sm improved since then and i already tell me about his advantage in sm without kyubi

I feel like you guys don't understand that when Naruto was younger (part 1) Kurama was messing with his chakra making Naruto's chakra control crap, he still learned Rasengan and Kage Bunshin and all this stuff. If it wouldn't have been Kurama messing with Naruto Chakra he would have been able to learned 1 Handed Rasengan.

To people saying that Naruto would have less chakra in base without the kyuubi, actually, a portion of his chakra is spent to supress the kyuubi, meaning he would have more in base. Not to mention, he would have much better chakra control= he would reduce his chakra cost for techniques by a lot.
Base Naruto has rasengan, summoning:giant toad, food cart destroyer, kage bunshin and multi kage bunshin, all a-rank techs. He was also able to spar equally with the deva path, meaning that his taijutsu and speed are at least adequate against high level shinobi.
SM Naruto without the kyuubi can merge with ma and pa, not to mention that he can now use sm much better than when he fought pain. He's NEVER been hurt in sm, and he has incredible strength, great threat detection and frog taka, not to mention rasenshuriken.
I think he would be mid-kage level or so, if you just removed the kyuubi from the equation. If you add the things he could have learnt instead, if there was no kyuubi and minato was alive, he would at least be as strong as he is now (strong, not powerful)

even without kuubi he has 4 times more chakra then kakashi (u can see that in the chapters where he starts nature manipulation training)
how exactly kuubi helped here can u tell me
without kuubi it will be complete different scenario
he can mold his chakra more skillfully can have even more varieties of jutsu
minato or jiraiya don't have as much chakra as naruto. only the people with
huge chakra were chosen to be a jinchuriki normal chakra level can't suppress bijuu chakra
that's because he is never able to mold his chakra properly , and it is due to the special kind of seal used on him

Well whose help does naruto use to create a perfect rasengan/shuriken If he uses the else of someone else like kakashi or jman etc then I would agree with you.
Using your own help does not count as not mastering something...

Naruto wouldn't be able to use as many clones as he does if he didn't have Kurama. So he wouldn't have learned the Rasenshuriken so fast. Minato didn't learn the rasengan, he created it. That is a huge difference. If Naruto learned SM without Kurama then yea he would be S rank. The only reason he beat Pain in the end is because of the kyuubi
