I have one problem with that, he killed HIS parents, Neji and many more. I just can't take that, his character is becoming a pain in the ass to me to comprehend him.....

Thanks for the VIZ scans dude. And yeah I agree with what you said, I don't think Naruto should have said that. Perhaps something along the lines of 'he could have been awesome', sounds better to me. He may be forgiven but his actions shouldn't be forgotten.

Or maybe like other people said above, he was talking about kid obito or the person obito wanted to become, in which case Kishi should have made it way more explicit.

As for the Naruto character thing, I understand him forgiving Obito. I really do, especially when we consider the theme of this manga. But to call Obito awesome? After everything he has done to Naruto and the world? Sure, you could say Naruto was talking about kid Obito but then that makes it foolish on Naruto's part to excuse everything "Tobi" and "Madara" did while Obito played that part. None of that shit is excusable in my eyes, and it shits on the sacrifice of others for Naruto to put it on the back burner so easily and call Obito "awesome". Plus, kid Obito gave up on his dream after his hope was taken away. There's nothing awesome about that. Understandable, yes. But not awesome. The awesome part was a step too far for me, it makes Naruto's character look bad IMO.

No, Naruto doesn't consider all of the past deeds that Obito did as Obito. He basically associated that as a mask or false personality that Obito created while in darkness. It wasn't kid Obito, but the Obito that was standing in front of him that held the same dream that Naruto did. That being said to not give attention to someones wrong doings and just denounce because the person was in a period of extreme depression is still insensitive to the victims. Respecting Obito is fine, but his sins shouldn't have been overlooked.

That being said I am over the whole thing. Viz still made the whole scene sound awesome

iNoto, I would be careful about doing this in the future the japanese government is supposed to be cracking down on manga sites this month.
