This is an interesting thread with a lot of well constructed arguments, and it's definitely a subject I think about often. Obviously, the answer to this question is highly subjective, and I don't believe there is a single right answer. It was a retarded idea to have Naruto beg. Sure he was striving for peace and all but the scenario was entirely wrong. Plus he begged to a brute. He had plenty of retarded ideas. Same for Sasuke *cough* revolution *cough* Which is why I'm not fond of either of them.

Tell me what do i feel when a person stronger than me is bowing his head down in front of me and i know that he can wreck me?

I agree that the idea was kinda lame, but I think Kishi just tends to overdo it when he attempts to convey their relationship. It's near impossible because it is utterly unrealistic.

OP: It was worth it when you consider the training Boruto gets as a result. Naruto is the most powerful, but Sasuke is the most skilled. What also makes it worth it (though it didn't actually work) is Sheer power balance. Konoha has the most powerful Shinobi in the NV and having a Rinnegan genius as an Anbu doesn't hurt the status quo at all. Just sayin'.

Naruto just embarassed himself for a traitorous scumbag. Kishi definitely goes overboard with his "friendship conquers all" bs. The fact it was pointless just makes it worse. Events still would've occured the way they did without Naruto making a show of himself.

Imagine Naruto in Game of Thrones. He'd be instantly fisted. No other way to put it. He'd get everyone under him killed almost immediately.

Sasuke betrayed everyone. There's no escaping that fact. No matter what reasoning. There's pretty much nobody he hasn't tried to/thought of killing. In my post I was speaking about that time when he went rogue. He was irrefutably a missing nin. Itachi had his reasons (protecting the gesater goid) etc. Sasuke just took it the wrong way. Some believe Sasuke then went on to redeem himself but that also means he was a traitor to the akatsuki XD everyone has their reasons/excuses but still...
