Chapter Eighteen: Zonder's Misfortune
Zonder had been following zanji uchiha and his crew for over 2 days and had hardly spoken a word expect to Rei Uchiha
who checked on her every time zanji uchiha allowed them to stop. The path they were on was rocky and rough, zanji uchiha insisted this was the fastest way to get to the heart of the South undetected.
“Man that Zonder guy hardly says shit, even you talk more then him Pride.” madara said glancing over to the Pride who was running next to him.
“He has a lot on his mind I am sure, and besides who cares, Zanji said we’d help him out so we are, that’s it.” Pride said.
“Whatever Pride, if you’re not sleeping your talking a bunch of shit.” madara said pulling ahead to where zanji was. Rei Uchiha
was leading as the navigator as he followed right behind her for protection.
“How long before we get to where we are going zanji?” madara asked as he caught up.
“I dunno ask Rei Uchiha .” zanji said looking lost.
“I’d say another full days travel, unlike those Admins in staff Kingdom who have direct ports to there areas we have to take the hard way.” Rei Uchiha
said from ahead.
They continued in this way a few more hours before they came to the end of the rocky path and to a large group of mountains.
“Hmmm we can either add a day by going around these mountains, a few hours by going over it or we take a chance and keep good time by taking the caves that lead to the other side.” Rei Uchiha said turning around to them.
“What do you mean by chances Rei Uchiha?”zanji asked.
“Well these caves have not been used in many years, I recognize the signs posted here.” Rei Uchiha said pointing to a sign with a skull on it.
“Oh well then the choice is simple, we are going straight through the caves!” zanji said in a manly tone.
madara gave a nod of approval while Rei Uchiha held her head to the side wondering why she followed someone so reckless, Pride said nothing but just waited to follow zanji in.
“You are an idiot zanji.” Zonder said breaking his silence. “What kind of half ass leader puts his team in that kind of clear danger, are you that stupid?” Zonder asked in slight disgust.
“Oh so now you want to talk and it figures all you are saying is a bunch of crybaby Mod shit, look I believe in all these people, were going to go in that cave, make good time going through it and get out, its that simple.” zanji said looking at Zonder with his one good eye.
“I won’t be apart of your death trip, anyone who wants to go over the mountain is welcomed to come with me.” Zonder said walking past zanji and to the base of the mountain.
Zonder felt something coming straight for his head and ducked just in time to avoid a rock aimed for his head slamming into the side of the mountain. He quickly turned around to see zanji laughing at him as he was holding a few more rocks.
“You idiot, what the hell was that about?” Zonder asked looking pissed.
“I thought if I could hit you with one of these rocks maybe I could knock some sense into your head.” zanji said.
Zonder lifted his hand putting it on the handle of his sword ready to draw it but Rei Uchiha interfered.
“Please, please can we just follow what zanji said, he is in charge and I believe you made a promise to BIBI stating you would not go against him.” Rei Uchiha said looking worried.
“That I did but I never thought I would have the misfortune of being lead by someone like him.” Zonder said removing his hand from his sword.
“Well you do boy so get over it, were heading in now.” zanji said as he walked towards the caves entrance, Pride and madara followed behind him while Rei Uchiha approached Zonder trying to get him to follow.
“I know he is a pain but you will get used to it and he has great judgment, don’t worry so much!” Rei Uchiha said forcing a big smile.
Zonder decided not to shoot down the effort of the only person who seemed interested in how he felt and nodded as he followed her to the caves entrance.
Meanwhile in the South the newly awoken shodaime had just been filled in on what he was to do, Chaos was told to escort shodaime to their destination and keep him alive.”
“Death awaits anyone who crosses my path now shodaime said.
