People on here often complain that the Naruto series has no true villains, evil main characters.
What those people don't realize is that, this is a story that is not about good and evil. Its about the struggles that characters go thru in their lives and how they overcome those struggles. Sure, not all the antagonists in the series are cold-hearted ruthless killers like Hidan, Kakuzu, Diedara, and Kisame. But I dont get how so many people see that as a problem.
Personally, I think people fighting eachother for what they believe in is far more interesting than watching someone who is just good, fight someone who is just evil for the sake of destroying the world for no real reason other than fun.
In Naruto everyone has a back story. People say "Duuuurrr...orochimaru is the only real villain." When he really isnt a villain, he isnt "EVIL" he is just someone who is willing to put aside what everyone else thinks to accomplish his goal, whether it involved evil actions or not. I bet if his path didnt involve violence, he wouldnt mind. He dosent go out LOOKING to kill for pleasure. "Ohhh..have faith in Madara, the true villain who wont fall to talk no jutsu." Madara a villain? his goal is the same as Obito's or at least so far as what we know. To create a dreamworld where there are no losers, and everyone is a winner. Sure the way he is going about it isn't the best, but he has good intentions, and will take out ANYONE who gets in his way, just like Naruto would.
In a sense, the story is about people (ninja) who have all chose paths to follow, and how those paths play out amongst everyone else's. Not about evil trying to take over good.
If you want to watch a series where people are evil without any explanation, watch DBZ, Devilman, or some disney movies. They have "true villains" that which you seek.
Otherwise, accept the fact that Naruto's main characters all have backstories which explain why they chose the path they did.
If you can't. then be forever mad that Naruto has no "REAL VILLAINS."
btw, Obito solos.
