Naruto anime vs manga

I'd rather watch something than read something. The only reason I read manga is because it's ahead. I'd rather watch all the action with amazing fights and detail, you know, in motion.

I completely agree with this. I only noticed the weird animation in the Pain fight but other than that theres nothing really wrong with it, I dont see why everyone is being so picky about it LOL

Edit: Im talking about canon anime not fillers i hate fillers as much as the next guy but i agree with cfighter it could have been better to extend the fights instead of doing fillers or breaking movies apart and making them fillers.(although chikara hasnt been too bad of a filler compared to others)

I agree with this. For manga I find the talking more acceptable (in a way I prefer it to the intense action because I personally find it harder to follow intense fights in pictures), and I believe that its up to the animators of the anime to extend the fights (like they did in naruto vs sasuke at the end of part 1) to add to the emotional/intensity of the fight while adding the talking plot points. ANNNNND this is where the anime of Naruto has been slacking, because instead of doing just that, they have been adding filler episodes. The anime would be SO much better if instead of filler episodes they added filler fight sequences instead. That would at the very least make up for the rare moments where the animation lacks.

yeah they could have done wonders with this war instead of this power filler and the filler stuff they did with the war was bad as they did flash backs all the time how are you supposed to get into a war if there is a flashback every episode

Apart from the Pain one, most of those funny exaggerated frames are drawn on purpose to put emphasis of the movement in the animation. Exaggeration is one of the principles of animation, it is necessary and it is not put there for people to struggle with the pause button trying to catch them and laugh.
That aside, there are many badly drawn frames in the anime for which there is no excuse. Kishimoto's drawings are the best.

Honestly the best thing about the anime imo is the voice acting.....it's really amazing(japanese one obviously)

But the overall quality of shippuden is kinda "meh" compared to other animes.....even bleach has better quality

the fights are broken up and the episodes are dragged out with flashbacks and monologues

Kishi's a great artist and I love his style of drawing.. so I like reading the manga better.

Also, many of those stills are frames used to accentuate motion in the anime.. you're taking them out of context.

Good anime is always better than manga. Pictures in motion + music > pictures. Thing is, Naruto Shippuuden is really crappy anime - drawings are poor, animation is as dynamic and fluid as my 90-years old grandma. Naruto manga >>> Naruto Shippuuden.
