You do realize that most american cartoons like avatar are animated by Asian animation companies right?
Sure, why not. Couldn't be worse than SP
Avatar was in fact animated by an American studio in California. Nickelodeon Animation.
I really liked the animation of Avatar, always really crisp. Miles ahead of SP
I didn't know that, but i know for sure that the legend of korra was animated a south korea company.
Avatar: The Legend of Korra was animated by asian studios and even Naruto's studio for a season.
Also, Nickelodeon is complete trash now and I would hate if they touched an anime I like.

The moment you realized that some of legend of Korra episodes was done by SP and they got fired after doing a terrible job!
The moment you realize a few other studios helped as well. And I believe only a director from SP helped.
The reason the animation is so poor from SP as opposed to other animation companies, is because they release weekly episodes, as opposed to going on a seasonal basis.
Avatar was animated focusing only on the season, and then it took a hiatus to take time to work on the next season. Same goes for other quality anime. First one that comes to mind is Kuroko no Basket, which went on a Seasonal basis and has excellent animation
Studio Pierrot however goes by a weekly schedule, never taking breaks. For this reason, it's obvious the quality is sub-par, because they don't have the time for it. Many would agree that they should shift to a seasonal basis, however, they argue that a weekly episode airing with no breaks is better.
Personally, I'd pick a higher quality anime that took time over a lower quality anime that released several episodes
