Sorry for the late input, lol i was banned. Here is my take on the latest chapter, going by viz.

Firstly Naruto and sasuke got wrecked, they were rusty and didn't go all out despite fighting an unknown threat. Like Naruto stated they performed poorly. Naruto being stabbed point blank after allowing sasuke into his defense and sasuke not using susanoo and get wrecked by puny ninja tools :lmao:

In Naruto's defense it was acceptable, new tech caused sasuke's sword to act point blank, However no excuses for sasuke, a rib cage would've sufficed. I find sasuke fans hilarious now that sasuke seemingly lost his tomoed rinnegan, they resort to saying what us Naruto fans been stating about his RSM.

Naruto and Sasuke didn't lose their power, they simply didn't go all out. Naruto used RSM/KCM and Sasuke used standard sharingan/rinnegan. Naruto's full power is RSM/All Bijuu chakra and Sasuke's full power is EMS/Tomoe Rinnegan. Plot demanded they be nerfed for the first encounter with spalding, nothing more. :) ​

I actually agree with you for once, except for the bold, it was a fail from both, there are arguments for each character.

We can also say Naruto slacked and it was his job to protect Sarada, who was left open for an attack before Sasuke acted on his emotions as a father and used his body as shield.

It's subjective, they both failed.

What exactly does nerf mean?

As for Sasuke not activating Susano'o when protecting his baby girl,i take this as a reference to when Sasuke took on Haku's deadly needle attack with no hesistation so he could protect Naruto.

Sasuke didn't lose his tomoed Rinnegan. I can't wait to see your reactions once the tomoes are revealed. All pissed off as hell...

Plus, both Naruto AND Sasuke had an excuse of being hit by the bald guy's attacks. It was way too fast and unexpected for Naruto, and Sasuke wasn't able to create a Susanoo big enough to shield Sarada (who was some distance away) in that short amount of time after he realized Sarada was being attacked. Just a portion of ribcage (like he used against Danzo) wasn't enough to protect Sarada.
