First of all, who else can't wait to see what happens next in the manga now that Lee cut Madara in half?! O_O That was awesome! Unless you're a Madara fan or sth xd. Aaaaaanyways, enjoy! Read and comment, seriously, we writers love comments ^_^ Also, I have an FF that is sort of on hold but I want to start up on it once more. It's about Itachi's pre Akatsuki life. If you'll be interested, lemme know cuz I'm pretty sure I have lost some of my old readers xd and I need new ones before I start up again
“You idiot.” rumbled the behemoth fox known as Kurama, its voice echoing ominously in its domain. This beast bore the most feared title of Kyubi, not its real name, rather a name it earned as a result of its massive tails which were nine in number and boasted unfathomable power. The strongest Bijuu in existence was not one to be trifled with. The massive fox was famed for its immense skill in the art of destruction, its talent for annihilation, and the trail of death and carnage that was always left in its wake whenever it wreaked the havoc and horror that only it was capable of.
Well, at least that was how the younger Naruto remembered things.
The boy was shocked, aghast, stunned, completely caught off guard by the fact that he and his older self were standing before the massive form of the most powerful Tailed Beast, no cage restricting it from clawing them in half.
When his older self decided to introduce him to Kurama, he surmised that 'Kurama' was a person, perhaps a pretty girl with whom the twenty two year old blonde was involved with or maybe a pet.
He most certainly didn't expect that his older self would bump fists with him and bring him into the presence of the giant fox that dwelt within them both.
“It was a mistake with that new technique. It won't happen again.” Older Naruto shrugged. “Anyways, since he's already stuck here, I thought I'd introduce you two.” He gave the younger Naruto a tug, pushing him towards the enormous fox that laid on its belly before them. “ Go on, dude. He won't bite.” he whispered softly
The younger Naruto hesitated and took a step closer to the beast. This movement however was met with a ferocious growl from the fox. So scared was the lad of the fox's unfriendly response that he quickly ran and hid behind his older self. Kurama immediately broke into laughter.
“Stop toying with him Kurama!” complained the older Naruto, giving the fox an annoyed glare through narrowed eyes.
“Sorry, I couldn't resist. How I miss those days when your blood ran cold and your breath ceased at the very mention of me.” responded the fox.
“Oh, please. I was never scared of you. There was always that gate, remember? Also, if I recall correctly, I actually defeated you in a fight to claim your chakra.” retorted the older blonde, a haughty smiled stretched across his face.
“Oh, yes I remember. You had Bee's help. Not to mention your Mama.” quipped the Bijuu, its tone bland and lifeless which further increased the dismissive effect of the words it spoke.
“Shut up. Just shut up” said the older Naruto, ending the argument between the fox and himself. “Just talk to the kid. And BE NICE!” the blonde twenty two year old thundered, his voice resounding through the massive space where the orange haired fox dwelt within him. He prompted his younger self to approach the Tailed Beast once more, a gentle nudge on the boy's shoulders signalling him to step forward.
He drew nearer to the gargantuan beast, the child's footsteps audible as they splashed the shallow waters which were ever present on the floor of the Kyubi's domain. The fox was silent and still as the boy approached, only staring at him through unblinking blood-red eyes. He stopped a few inches in front of the fox, his eyes lifted up in order to behold the face of the beast. A silence followed, the quiet however was periodically interrupted by the echoing sound of dripping water. “Hi Kurama.” he mumbled timidly under his breath, though his voice was louder than he intended since every sound reverberated in the realm of the Tailed Beast.
The roar of disturbed waters echoed in tandem with a swishing sound as the fox viciously launched its massive right arm at the child before him, a murderous feral grin etched on the beast's face. The boy was much too stunned to bellow out a scream, he merely gasped in utter shock and raw fear as he was grabbed and lifted off his feet by the massive, furry appendage.
“Kurama!” growled the older Naruto, hands already flipping through a number of hand seals at such blinding speed that his fingers appeared blurred. “Damn fox!” the older boy thought.
A sudden calm followed as the beast placed the lad on its large head, taking the greatest care to make sure he didn't fall. “Geez, you're such an idiot. You thought I'd kill the kid?” whined Kurama, its crimson gaze directed at the twenty two year old who had abruptly ceased his sequence of hand seals.
“Hmph,” the older blonde shrugged before both his hands subtly receded into his snow white robe, a displeased scowl on his face, “you have quite a long history with killing people for no reason, you know. Why did you put him on your head anyway?”
“Isn't it obvious? I wanna give him a ride. Rather nice of me, won't you say?” replied the fox with a cheeky grin on its features, standing to its feet on four massive limbs.
“Ooh, can I come too?!” the older blonde asked, unashamed, in blatantly childish excitement, his glistening blue eyes widening enthusiastically at the thrilling prospect.
“No.” replied the massive voice, disgusted at the embarrassing lack of maturity displayed by its older host. “This ride is for those who haven't already grown up and gotten married.”
“You're married?” the young boy perched on the massive fox asked incredulously.
“I'll explain later.” the older waved off the question, his eyes narrowed as they shot the fox an indignant glare. The angry expression persevered on his features for a few seconds before he gained a more happy disposition. “In any case, this place,” he gestured dimly around the boiler room setting where Kurama dwelt, “won't be spacious enough for a ride. Let's go somewhere else.” he recommended, a pleased grin now etched on his features. He couldn't be more happy about the fact that Kurama and his younger self were somewhat bonding. A echoed sound of his fingers snapping and they were all instantly transported elsewhere.
They reappeared in a vast, endless realm which shone perpetually with bright light of whose origin could not be perceived. No floor was visible, their feet seemed to rest on an invisible flat surface that was as effulgent as everywhere else. “This is where I talked with Dad when we met.” explained the older blonde, his eyes shifting upwards to the lad seated comfortably atop Kurama. The twenty two year old was revelling in the amazed look the blonde child sported on his somewhat chubby face. The boy's wide, blue eyes surveyed every inch of the new territory, his mouth agape in wonder and his whole being frozen in utter amazement. “Pretty cool, huh?” asked the older Naruto.
“Y...yeah.” muttered the lad half heartedly, his bright cerulean orbs still taking in every aspect of the radiant realm. He was, however, pulled out of his daze when the fox on whom he stood, darted forward at an unbelievable speed.
Kurama sped off, massive legs propelling the behemoth forward with a surprising level of physical speed as its tails swung idly behind it. Its breathing was loud and ferocious, striking cold fear into the lad that stuggled to remain on its back. “Having fun yet?” questioned the fox, his voice deep, cracked, guttural, frightening.
“Y-Yes, K-Kurama-san.” the boy stuttered softly, petite hands keeping a tight grip on the orange abundance of fur that coated the beast. He had already channelled chakra into both palms to ensure and solidify his hold on the fox but yet, he was still sore afraid. His heart pounded vigorous within his chest and he could feel sweat emerging on his skin.
“Hold on tight!” warned the fox before arching all four legs, gathering the momentum for a massive leap. A second later found Naruto and the Nine Tails soaring freely in mid air, the fox's tails fanning out spectacularly in peacock fashion, giving it a glorious appearance. The beast lingered above the ground for a total of five seconds before its feet slammed onto the invisible floor once more. Somehow, the young lad nested on its head conquered his instability and managed to remain firmly on top of the beast.
“That was awesome, Kurama-san!” exclaimed the lad excitedly, his high-pitched voice dragging the fox into a state of nostalgia. The beast could still recall how that shrill yet thunderous voice defiantly roared against anything and everything that stood in its owners way, eventually screaming even the Ten Tails into submission.
“You haven't changed at all, have you? You never will.” the massive fox commented idly. “Wanna see just how powerful I really am?” asked Kurama, excitement mixed in with its gruff, hoarse voice.
“Sure.” was the jubilant response of the boy.
“Delightful. I'll show you the Tailed Beast Ball.”
Yes its short. Bear with it.
