Naruto 589: “I am Naruto”

Naruto 589-594 Prediction Rumor
Out of the dozens of half-baked theories on Obito coming around every day this is a theory that really caught my attention. It has a small but loyal fan base that believes in it and I think it deserves some attention!
Theory: Tsunade and Dan are Minato’s parents.
For the people who have a keen eye (or an imaginative one) they believe the manga has been hinting at this all along and that once you see these facts you will see it to be undeniable too. Before you think it’s crazy just read and see what you think!
1- Tsunade and Minato have the same exact blood type, B. To elaborate, Dan has blood type A. So scientifically speaking if Dan and Tsunade’s kid were Minato it could be possible he just have blood type B like Tsunade.
2- Dan and Minato graduated the Academy at the same age of 10. It could be a hint that he followed in his father’s footsteps like Naruto did with Minato.
3- Tsunade and Minato Share the Same Hair Color, blond. With Dan’s light hair color, blond could easily be passed onto Minato.
4- Minato and Dan are around the same height and weight as each other

6- Dan and Minato have similar features. If you notice when you look at the two despite the hair and eye colors they look nearly identitcal. In terms of the shape of their jaw to the shape of their eyes.
7- It’s interesting that Naruto always calls Tsunade ‘Grandma Tsunade’, which would be very ironic on Masashi’s part if it were true.
Now that the basic comparisons are over here’s the deep evidence.
8- Madara suggest that the Hokage line has been kept in the Senju clan for years. When he talks about this there is a picture of the hokage mountain and it shows the fourth hokage’s head on it. This implies that the Hokage position was still held by the Senju even during the fourth hokage’s reign, which inturn implies that Minato is a Senju. Where else would he get the blood from the Senju clan then Tsunade.
Also to add, it has been said that the Senju clan broke up into smaller clans in the village made up of ability, so to say Minato and anybody else in the village are Senju is not far-fetched in the least.
9- Tsunade passes down the Hokage necklace to Naruto which was set to stay in Tsunade’s family and passed down in their family since the first hokage. Since there is a big deal made out of the necklace I think this implies that Naruto might be in Tsunade’s family.
10- Yamato remarks about Naruto’s Chakra being special because he is able to hold off the power of the 4-tails without dying. This might be because Naruto is related to the Senju clan and thus his chakra has the same qualities as Shodai which helps to protect him from the kyuubi chakra. (author’s note: This is more because he is an Uzumaki but being a Senju I think could only help)
11- There is a great amount of symbolism between Hashirama-Naruto and Sasuke-Madara. They stood on the Valley of End statues (Naruto on Shodai’s and Sasuke on Madara’s). Many people thought this implied that Hashirama is like Naruto and Sasuke is like Madara. But Sasuke is actually an Uchiha so I don’t see why this wouldn’t also imply that Naruto is a Senju.
12- And I think this is the biggest telling piece of information even though some people might read the dialog differently then I did. Now think back to the chapter where Jiriaya tells Tsunade that he is going to Ame to look for Akatsuki Lair. When their discussion turns to Minato a lot of things bother me about the way Jiriaya talks to Tsunade.
- First look at Tsunade’s face when she says Minato Namikaze on page 10 chapter 367. She seems very sad about saying his name. Now this can be explained away by her just having been friends with him or something and being sad thinking about how he died, but it creates a very wierd mood for what happens next. First Jiriaya goes on to brag about Minato and what he was like and his amazing Genius.
Which let me say it’s weird that Jiriaya even brought up Minato at this point in the conversation because previously they were talking about how Tsunade has lost so many people in the past and about how she rejected Jiriaya’s advances. Then Jiriaya seems to imply that he thought of Minato as a son and brags about him to which he says that if Minato had been his son he would have bragged about him constantly.
But what makes this suspect to me is he says I never had any kids of my own while looking at Tsunade and then says if Minato had been my kid…etc.. Doesn’t this sound like what some one would say to a mother who lost their child…just replace Minato with “your son” and doesn’t the whole dialog seem right.
For example I will redo the dialog this way:
Now I want you to think about what kind of character Jiriaya is. He’s the guy who failed all his life at love and he failed to Dan. Now think about it; if Jiraiya had succeeded with Tsunade he would have been Minato’s father instead of Dan. It’s basically like Jiriaya is saying he always thought of Minato as his son because he could have very well been his father if it wasn’t for a simple twist of fate. Basically that whole converstation made me think that Jiriaya was talking about Minato as if he were Tsunade’s son and if you read the flow of that conversation from start to finish with the idea that Minato is Tsunade’s son a lot of Jiriaya’s jokes and ways that he talks makes much sense.
So what’s my theory on how Minato is Tsunade’s son. I think that Tsunade got pregnant by Dan a little bit before he went off on the mission that killed him. She also was doing missions because she didn’t know that she herself was pregnant yet. After Dan died she found out that she was pregnant with his child which caused her to go even more into the depression that led her to leave the village. I think after Dan died she stayed in the village long enough to give birth to Minato and then she put him up for adoption and left the village.
Years later Jiriaya trained Minato because he loved Tsunade so much. Basically Jiraiya felt like Minato could have been his kid and he wanted to be a father to Tsunade’s kid becuase of his love for her. So he trained Minato and they did gain a father-son bond which later resulted in Jiriaya ironically becoming Naruto’s Godfather. Tsunade probably never told Minato that he was her kid, but all the elders of Konoha knew because they knew she put him up for adoption as a baby, which made Minato a member of the Senju clan which helped increase his chances of becoming hokage.
(Author’s note: this is not hard evidence of course, we really aren’t positive on the time line of when Tsunade left the village or when Dan died. We’re not even sure of Minato’s age. Not to mention Kishimoto has messed up time lines before, so this is all up in the air. So try not to come back that the time line is off.)
The genius of Kishimoto can truly be seen if this theory is true. For many reasons:
1- It will be important in Naruto becoming a full fledge ninja because he might develop some of Hashirama’s power to allow him to control the demon fox or it might help explain why he is able to finally control the demon fox with his own chakra. It would also build up the tension between Sasuke and Naruto if Naruto were a true Senju clan member. (author’s note: this is an old article, before Naruto had control.)
2- It fit perfectly with the irony of Jiraiya’s story/character. Jiraiya fell in love with Tsunade and Dan won out. Jiraiya could have been Minato’s father, but he ended up becoming Minato’s Sensei and foster father figure anyway. Even though he failed in love with Tsunade he was still able to become part of Minato’s family and even became Naruto’s God father.
3- It would fit perfectly with Tsunade’s dynamic with Naruto and her troubled past storyline. It would also be amazing if Naruto did find out Tsunade was his grandmother right before she died. Also Tsunade would then be in a position to be the one to reveal Naruto’s entire lineage to him. It would also make sense why she was so willing to bet the necklace with Naruto because he is part of the Senju clan as well.
And finally:
Do you think the latest meet up of Dan and Naruto will reveal anything?
Personally I am not 100% sold on this theory and I could argue some points of it on my own. Honestly nobody should be 100% sold on a theory, there’s always room to question and try to guess what on earth Masashi Kishimoto will do next! Whether your mind has been blown or you’re not impressed anything to add to take away from this theory is more than welcome.

the scene changes to Naruto.
Naruto is holding his hands in the jutsu position, “it’s time you had a taste of real power Tobi or whoever you are! True power, the power of will and determination!”
Tobi looks at him thinks about everything he has done with Naruto, form facing him in the woods to talking to him in the land of Iron and... then this battle up til now.
He thinks to him self while watching Naruto talk to him from a distance, { This kid, he is generations under me, yet he is as confident in this battle, in this war, as if it were training. He has gone through everything thrown at him up to this point in time. Kabuto raised Madara and Naruto even faced him, no wait from what I understand his CLONE faced him. Who is to say what this child would have done personally against the legendary Uchiha Leader.}
He looks at Kakashi.
{This one, we share a connection that he doesn’t even realize. He is next in line as Hokage no doubt, I can tell that by his legend, his Copy ninja stories reach all corners of the ninja world. If he were to live and everything were to go back to the way it was he no doubt would pass it to Naruto eventually.}
He looks back at Naruto still talking to him, but Tobdara is still not focusing on his words.
{Well, it seems it is time for me to play my part in this, to the fullest. No more playing around, this after all is not the actual plan.}
Flashback.
Madara is alive but aged, he is standing with his war fan propped as a staff. There is a figure in the shadows.
Madara, “ I don’t have much longer so you do understand the plan, don’t you?”
The figure steps out a little but not enough to see, “yes I do Madara -Sama, You want me to attack the Jinchuriki of the Leaf to obtain the nine tailed fox, the rightful property of the Uchiha Clan.”
Madara, “ Yes eventually Mito Uzumaki will get weak, she is my age but she is also an Uzumaki, they live a very long time, maintaining their strength through out their lives, until they pass. If something happens that this 3rd Hokage gets wise take him out. Can you do that?”
The figure walks out of the shadows, “He is strong but young, I have no problem facing anyone that stands in the way of our plans.”
Madara, “I hear you have a son, Fugaku, is it? Train him well, he may one day be your replacement.
Years later, we see an older version of the stranger Uchiha speaking with a young Fugaku.
We see flashes of meeting between the two as he ages and then a meeting with the stranger as Madara meeting with Itachi. We see them recover the body of Obito and also the removing, healing and implanting his Sharinghan into the Father.
We see the Uchiha massacre take place and the elder Uchiha stranger taking part in it, he is speaking with Fugaku and his wife moments before Itachi enters.
Fugaku, “you sure this will work, this is a tremendous sacrifice Father”
Father Uchiha, “yes, the reason we didn’t allow me to meet Itachi is so he wouldn’t recognize my chakra as I posed as Senpai Madara. After this we will go forth with the plan to collect enough Sharinghans to take us where we want to be. You did great taking the clan away before the nine tails attack, the suspicions were raised.”
Fugaku, “well, when this is over tell Sasuke, that, I am proud of him. Please watch after Itachi, I fear he is troubled, I know this will probably push him over the edge.”
Father Uchiha, “trust me both of your sons are going to be very involved with each other and my plans.” He looks over his shoulder. “I must go, prepare yourself.”
Itachi walks in as soon as Tobdara(father) disappears.
“father, mother I am sorry but this must be done.”
Present time.
Naruto, “Hey! You do you hear me?! This war is over for you, because I …”
Tobi, “shut up.”
Naruto looks at him, so does Kakashi, and Lee.
Tobi, “it is time you learned something Naruto Uzumaki, son of Minato student of Jaraiya, friend of Sasuke Uchiha.”
Naruto frowns a little and balls his fist.
Tobi, “it’s time you learned the real world you can’t save every one and turn everyone into your friend. Stop crying to everyone about peace, love, and comrades. This is the ninja world, people die you little child!”
He takes his mask off and jumps off the statue as he descends he warps right in front of them, by just a few feet.
He throws the mask to the ground revealing scars on his face and an aged figure. His left eye is just like Kakashi’s(MS).
Naruto, “your right.”
Kakashi looks at him, “Naruto?”
Tobi, “tell me, what am I right about child?”
Naruto, “I need to grow up, I have. I know the answer to lasting peace.”
He does a hand sign.
Tobi, {what? How does he know that?”
Naruto, “Sage of 6 Paths technique: six paths summoning!”
Suddenly, 6 clones of Naruto appear, they are all dressed differently but with same color scheme.
Naruto, “in order for there to be peace there has to be people willing to fight and destroy people like you. I look for the good in people, if it is there I find it. If not, then they will feel my power, Naruto Uzumaki of the Leaf Village Ninja of the Shinobi Alliance!”
Suddenly Tobi is right on top of Naruto and his clones when, “Shenrei Tensei!”
One of the clones pushes Tobi yards away then Naruto and a clone are waiting for him when he is about to land. A Clone grabs Tobi and is absorbing his warp juts.
Tobi, “how? You don’t have the Rinnengan?! These are Doujutsu abilities of the Rikudo!”
Naruto’ well those names you don’t know also gave me knowledge, the thing is ther are three ways to perform jutsu, hand signs, seals and the third and most rare is with special eyes. We Uzumaki are masters at seals, the Senju were masters at hand signs and the Uchiha have the eyes. Bottom line is…” He throws in the sky then, “I can do everything you can, with the Rinnengan!”
Tobdara, {he truly is gifted, I fear Sasuke you will lose if you so fought Naruto, I must not let that happen.} He performs hand signs and the statue begins to attack Kakashi and Lee, with Bee blocking in Bijuu mode.
Naruto looks at Tobi, “ for what it is worth, I didn’t want it this way.”
Naruto clone appears behind Tobdara and grabs his head.
Tobdara, “this, this is..”
Naruto, “yes after I know everything you know you will die.”
Naruto walks away, within moments we see his eyes change and a view of Tobdara’s hand fall lifeless to the ground.
He changes to a look of determination, “Captain Yamato.”
We see the Clones in the back ground taking down the Statue.
Scene change to the underground, seeing the root with Yamato in it, we see Yamato up close.
Yamato, “Naruto…have to…keep him safe…”
Next: “Save him.”

[ Just when the seal is about to be fully complete, the sealing stops and the seal & sand gets blown away ]

[ Out comes a Susano'O bursting......with a roar of a creature of darkness ]
... Tsunade : What .. the hell is this ?
Tsuchikage : I've never seen anything like this .....
Gaara : Is this a Susano'O ? ..... Then what are they that we fought till now ?
Ei : Does this mean ... that before and sasuke's were incomplete forms ?
Mei : It seems so .... And it's many times bigger than them ....
Madara : You 5 Kage, for all your worth, get to see & experience first hand the full might of the perfect Susano'O ........ AMAKUDARI
Mei : Amakudari ??
Madara : The only one whom I've shown this form before was Hashirama ......and now you ...........however, you and this army will not get to live to tell the tale .........
Tsunade : Gaara ....
Gaara : I know ......I'm ready.......
[ Gaara brings out a huge wave of sand ready to be put as a shield ]
Madara : Hmm....What can a sparrow nest do, infront of a burst Dam ....
[ A Black sword appears in the hands of Susano'O ]
Tsuchikage : Here it comes ....
[ Susano'O swings the sword and the sand wave gets obliterated ]
[ All 5 Kages were shown shocked ]
Madara : What ? Is that all ?
[ Ei flickers to the Susano'O ]
Ei : LIGHTNING STYLE .... HEAVENLY CRUSH
[ Ei knee the Susano'O at a point which seems to be relatively week .... but is hurt instead ]
Tsunade : What ?
[ Tsunade rushes to Ei ]
Tsunade ( thinking ) : Impossible....his knee is destroyed ? ...
Madara : Don't be so shocked .... Hokage...
[ Tsunade brings back Ei and starts healing him ]
Madara : No matter what you do .... it's futile ..... The only one who can defeat this form is Hashirama ... and even for him ..... there is only one technique that he can use to defeat this .....REALIZE ..... YOUR BEST SHOT CAN'T EVEN SCRATCH THIS SUSANO'O....
Tsuchikage (thinking) : What to do ? I've used up all my chakra in the last attack ... I can't attack anymore......

Tsunade: "My grandfather oncetold me Rikudo Sennin used itto protect himself from theTenTail's. Ifit helped him save the world imagine what someone with pure evil can do!
Madara: "Time for you all to die Kage. First for the one with the belt.
"Susanoo X summon's a Totsuka Sword and swing's it to A!"
Raikage: "Damn!Need to dodge.."

Out of the dozens of half-baked theories on Obito coming around every day this is a theory that really caught my attention. It has a small but loyal fan base that believes in it and I think it deserves some attention!
Theory: Tsunade and Dan are Minato’s parents.

For the people who have a keen eye (or an imaginative one) they believe the manga has been hinting at this all along and that once you see these facts you will see it to be undeniable too. Before you think it’s crazy just read and see what you think!
1- Tsunade and Minato have the same exact blood type, B. To elaborate, Dan has blood type A. So scientifically speaking if Dan and Tsunade’s kid were Minato it could be possible he just have blood type B like Tsunade.
2- Dan and Minato graduated the Academy at the same age of 10. It could be a hint that he followed in his father’s footsteps like Naruto did with Minato.
3- Tsunade and Minato Share the Same Hair Color, blond. With Dan’s light hair color, blond could easily be passed onto Minato.
4- Minato and Dan are around the same height and weight as each other

Now that the basic comparisons are over here’s the deep evidence.
8- Madara suggest that the Hokage line has been kept in the Senju clan for years. When he talks about this there is a picture of the hokage mountain and it shows the fourth hokage’s head on it. This implies that the Hokage position was still held by the Senju even during the fourth hokage’s reign, which inturn implies that Minato is a Senju. Where else would he get the blood from the Senju clan then Tsunade.
Also to add, it has been said that the Senju clan broke up into smaller clans in the village made up of ability, so to say Minato and anybody else in the village are Senju is not far-fetched in the least.

10- Yamato remarks about Naruto’s Chakra being special because he is able to hold off the power of the 4-tails without dying. This might be because Naruto is related to the Senju clan and thus his chakra has the same qualities as Shodai which helps to protect him from the kyuubi chakra. (author’s note: This is more because he is an Uzumaki but being a Senju I think could only help)
11- There is a great amount of symbolism between Hashirama-Naruto and Sasuke-Madara. They stood on the Valley of End statues (Naruto on Shodai’s and Sasuke on Madara’s). Many people thought this implied that Hashirama is like Naruto and Sasuke is like Madara. But Sasuke is actually an Uchiha so I don’t see why this wouldn’t also imply that Naruto is a Senju.
12- And I think this is the biggest telling piece of information even though some people might read the dialog differently then I did. Now think back to the chapter where Jiriaya tells Tsunade that he is going to Ame to look for Akatsuki Lair. When their discussion turns to Minato a lot of things bother me about the way Jiriaya talks to Tsunade.
- First look at Tsunade’s face when she says Minato Namikaze on page 10 chapter 367. She seems very sad about saying his name. Now this can be explained away by her just having been friends with him or something and being sad thinking about how he died, but it creates a very wierd mood for what happens next. First Jiriaya goes on to brag about Minato and what he was like and his amazing Genius.

Which let me say it’s weird that Jiriaya even brought up Minato at this point in the conversation because previously they were talking about how Tsunade has lost so many people in the past and about how she rejected Jiriaya’s advances. Then Jiriaya seems to imply that he thought of Minato as a son and brags about him to which he says that if Minato had been his son he would have bragged about him constantly.
But what makes this suspect to me is he says I never had any kids of my own while looking at Tsunade and then says if Minato had been my kid…etc.. Doesn’t this sound like what some one would say to a mother who lost their child…just replace Minato with “your son” and doesn’t the whole dialog seem right.
For example I will redo the dialog this way:
Now I want you to think about what kind of character Jiriaya is. He’s the guy who failed all his life at love and he failed to Dan. Now think about it; if Jiraiya had succeeded with Tsunade he would have been Minato’s father instead of Dan. It’s basically like Jiriaya is saying he always thought of Minato as his son because he could have very well been his father if it wasn’t for a simple twist of fate. Basically that whole converstation made me think that Jiriaya was talking about Minato as if he were Tsunade’s son and if you read the flow of that conversation from start to finish with the idea that Minato is Tsunade’s son a lot of Jiriaya’s jokes and ways that he talks makes much sense.
So what’s my theory on how Minato is Tsunade’s son. I think that Tsunade got pregnant by Dan a little bit before he went off on the mission that killed him. She also was doing missions because she didn’t know that she herself was pregnant yet. After Dan died she found out that she was pregnant with his child which caused her to go even more into the depression that led her to leave the village. I think after Dan died she stayed in the village long enough to give birth to Minato and then she put him up for adoption and left the village.
Years later Jiriaya trained Minato because he loved Tsunade so much. Basically Jiraiya felt like Minato could have been his kid and he wanted to be a father to Tsunade’s kid becuase of his love for her. So he trained Minato and they did gain a father-son bond which later resulted in Jiriaya ironically becoming Naruto’s Godfather. Tsunade probably never told Minato that he was her kid, but all the elders of Konoha knew because they knew she put him up for adoption as a baby, which made Minato a member of the Senju clan which helped increase his chances of becoming hokage.
(Author’s note: this is not hard evidence of course, we really aren’t positive on the time line of when Tsunade left the village or when Dan died. We’re not even sure of Minato’s age. Not to mention Kishimoto has messed up time lines before, so this is all up in the air. So try not to come back that the time line is off.)

1- It will be important in Naruto becoming a full fledge ninja because he might develop some of Hashirama’s power to allow him to control the demon fox or it might help explain why he is able to finally control the demon fox with his own chakra. It would also build up the tension between Sasuke and Naruto if Naruto were a true Senju clan member. (author’s note: this is an old article, before Naruto had control.)
2- It fit perfectly with the irony of Jiraiya’s story/character. Jiraiya fell in love with Tsunade and Dan won out. Jiraiya could have been Minato’s father, but he ended up becoming Minato’s Sensei and foster father figure anyway. Even though he failed in love with Tsunade he was still able to become part of Minato’s family and even became Naruto’s God father.
3- It would fit perfectly with Tsunade’s dynamic with Naruto and her troubled past storyline. It would also be amazing if Naruto did find out Tsunade was his grandmother right before she died. Also Tsunade would then be in a position to be the one to reveal Naruto’s entire lineage to him. It would also make sense why she was so willing to bet the necklace with Naruto because he is part of the Senju clan as well.

Personally I am not 100% sold on this theory and I could argue some points of it on my own. Honestly nobody should be 100% sold on a theory, there’s always room to question and try to guess what on earth Masashi Kishimoto will do next! Whether your mind has been blown or you’re not impressed anything to add to take away from this theory is more than welcome.
